Hi everyone,

I read the forum often, but don't really take time to post. But this time, I need help.

After reading the books and the forum many time, I know the problem about the foreshadowing of the ''Big boss''. Looking into the problem, I remembered the ''classic horror revisited'' story about the hag.

To sum up : Three good beautiful faerie princesses became vain, bitter and evil. The fey court cursed and banished them to Golarion. After that, the fey courts razed their castle to the ground.

My idea :

- First change : There was five sisters, not three. The older ones had their fey kingdom at each cardinal point : West, North, East, South. The fifth one, the youngest, lived in the middle.
- Second change : Four sisters became vain, bitter and evil. They picked on their youngest sister.
- Third change : The youngest, tried to stop the blight and the conflict between the sisters. She was a good girl helping the other faeries when they tried to flee the blight.
- Fourth Change : When the fey courts saw the corruption of their kingdom, they cursed all the sisters, banished the four kingdom from the first world. The sisters were imprisonned in their own planar kingdom.
- Fifth change : Nyrissa became the green hag (south), Rhoswen became the annis (west), Neithrope became the winter hag (north), Caillea became the blood hag (east).
- Sixth change : Seeing everyhting being cursed, Jurissa, the youngest, ripped appart her eye and tongue, becoming the Mute Hag.

So I modified the tale to fit those details (I won't post it on the forum, since I just copied the text from the book and changed it to fit those change).

Now the original background of the campaign :

Nyrissa want to steal the land to give it to the eternal in hope to be pardon. That's it.

So here my idea :
The four sisters want their beauty back, they want their freedom back, they want their servant back and they want to kill each other.

Beauty :
Caillea : She plan to bath in mortal's blood, a lot of beautiful mortal woman's blood.
Nyrissa : She removed the curse by transfering it to another person: Her youngest sister Jurissa.
Neithrope : Stealing true love. She want to melt her cold heart.
Rhoswen : Before being cursed, she captured her own image through a mirror. She plan to switch her old reflexion with her cursed form.

Kingdom :
Caillea : Taking the place of the queen. By doing that, she hope to be acknowledge by the genius loci, and after that she plan to replace it with her own genius loci.
Nyrissa : She will create dimensional breach slowly transfering her kingdom to the material realm.
Neithrope : Activating the elfgate of Candlemere, she will create an opening to her world, creating a pocket of eternal winter to extend and transfert her kindgom. ( I know about reign of winter)
Rhoswen : Her little gnome helper need to retrieve the mirror of shadow to create a focus. She will blur the limit of her kingdom to the material world with fog.

Now about foreshadowing those events :
Jurissa was cursed by her sister, not by the fey court. She was the one giving refuge to the fleeing fey. She tried to stop her sister peacefuly. She was a good princess. After being curse and becoming the first mute hag, she decided to keep helping the fey. She created the Witchmarket with her own banished plane. The witchmarket can manifest once per year.

Jurissa will be the one to foreshadow each event. By creating the witchmarket, she created a powerful way to gain information or to give information. Each year, she will give a hint to the pc. In the form of fairytale or strange object. The first one I thought was a bottle containing a small light, a glimmer of hope.

Do you have any idea to add? I need more meat around the bone.

I'm sure that when someone ask you to describe a forest, talk about plants etc, you use the traditionnal: ''It's an oak/maple/*insert any known tree here*''. But sometimes we want to include some strange plants with only a change of landscape or some small effect.

So I want to know: What plant did you create? Are they special material? Do they have an effect? etc.

Hello everyone,

One of our AP will soon come to an end.(we play 3-4 times a week) It was decided that, again, I’ll be DMing. I asked my players which AP they want to do, the result:
- 3 for Serpent’s Skull
- 3 for Skull and Shackle
I read the 2 AP and I thought: Can they be merged?

So I read every supplement I had on Sargava, The Shackle, etc.

What I thought:

Divide the campaign in two part:

The first part include the Skull and Shackle AP, Tower of the Last Baron, Treasure of the Chimera Cove and From Shore to Sea.
The second part is about the Serpent’s Skull AP, changing the flavor for the Cannibal Isles and using the mythic rules.

Here the parameter:
- E6
- Common firearms (no advanced)
- Wound and Vigor System
What do you think? Can this be done?

Me and my player love the world of Golarion, we use it has a base for every campaign we do. And make sure that every campaign we do can change the world. Soon, it will be my turn again to GM and I want to play ‘’The Shattered Star’’, since I GMed ‘’Rise of the Runelord’’.

But, I have a problem, after Rise of the Runelord, some of my players wanted to continue, they wanted to become the new Runelord. So I extended the campaign with the return of other Runelords (Xanderghul and Alaznist).

Now, I need to adapt the Shattered Star AP. Here the change that happened (I put spoiler everywhere to avoid any trouble):

AP we played:

- Rise of the Runelord
- Curse of the Crimson Throne (Failed)
- Second Darkness
- Legacy of Fire (Failed)
- Council of Thieves
- Carrion Crown (playing now, last fight today)
- Jade Regeant
- Skull and Shackle (playing now, will end soon)

What about the Runelord?:

- Alaznist has awakened and started her rampage.
- Shorshen possessed Queen Ileosa Arabasti (We failed in the Curse of the Crimson Throne AP)
- Xanderghul tried to stop the cataclysm by himself (almost died) , he then waited in stasis and my players killed him.
- Karzoug is dead.
- Krune is sleeping…
- Belimarius is waiting and envious.
- Zutha, at the end of my Carrion Crown campaign, the last member of the Whispering Way changed their plan. Since the Carrion Crown Elixir didn’t work, they want to break in Gallowspire with the help of someone, Zutha. So they try to find the piece of the Gluttonous Book. (Under the supervision of a Vampire Alchemist with Totemrix (ex-pc))

What about Varisia?:

- Sandpoint has been destroyed by Alaznist and the explosion of the Hellfire fume.
- Magnimar has been attacked by the Alaznist’s Army.
- Korvosa has been taken by Shorshen.
- Riddleport is under the protection of the Pathfinder. The new Runelord paid pirate mercenaries to help in the defense of Riddleport.
- Kaer Maga is still a free city.
- Xin’Shalast is now under the control of the player (the new Runelord of Greed, the Runelord of Pride (ex-pc)).
- Turtleback Ferry is now a military outpost.
- Brinewall is now a diplomatic outpost under the control of Minkai. (and a ex-pc)

My Idea:

The new Runelord of Pride (a Dragon Disciple) and the new Runelord of Greed (a Wizard) are building an army to oppose Alaznist . They heard about the Shattered Star and sent their army to recover the shards.

- Shattered Star 1 : Shard of Sin :
Magnimar is now a warzone, Alaznist has dispatched her army to take over the city. The PC need to recover the shard without Alaznist noticing them.

- Shattered Star 2 : Curse of Lady’s Light:
Shorshen dispatched the Gray Maiden to recover the shard before the PC.

- Shattered Star 3 : The Asylum Stone:
The last members of the Whispering Way headed to the Dark Forest to recover an artifact (they are thinking about a part of the Gluttonous Book, but the real one is the Shard of Gluttony)

- Shattered Star 4: Beyond the Doomsday Door :
coming soon.

I want this campaign to be more military oriented. The first part will be in a Warzone (Magnimar). Short mission and military encounter are on my program. My player will be military agent of the new Runelords.

I need help to design new campaign trait;

Trait:

- Sandpoint Survivor: You survived the destruction of Sandpoint and the explosion of the Hellfire Fume. You were taken to Xin'Shalast to recover.
- Magnimar Survivor: You fled Magnimar when Alaznist marched on the city. You were saved by arrival of the Runelords and their army.
- Recruited by Greed: The new runelord of Greed recruited you himself. You are greedy and the palace of Xin'Shalast is your paradise.
- Recruited by Pride : The runelord of Pride recruited you himself. You are arrogant and hope to show your might in his army.
- Korvosa Deserter : When Shorshen took over the city, you saw the horror she did. You deserted at the first opportunity and fled to Xin'Shalast.
- Riddleport Pathfinder : The Pathfinder dispatched a large group of people to help in study of the Cyphergate. Now, they asked you help the new Runelords in the defense of Varisia.
- Member of the Shoan’ti : You're a member of the Shoan'ti tribe. The horror of Alaznist are taking over your land. Your elder asked you to seek help.
- Turtleback Ferry Militia : Turtleback Ferry was converted in a military outpost Unfortunatly, the country is now in a full war and you were conscripted.
- Minkai Ambassador: You were a member of the Minkai's embassy (Brinewall), you now live in Varisia. Two people that called themselves ''Runelord'' asked help from the Empress Kaijistu.
- Pirate Mercenary: Last month you were on a boat, now you were paid to help in the attack in a old city. The pay is suppose to be good.

And do you have any suggestion? (sorry for my bad english). I have a good idea, but I need help with the content.


My group as already played through many AP and now they are playing in Carrion Crown. The group is formed by :

- Level 7 Changeling Synthesis Summoner
- Level 7 Human Alchemist
- Level 6 Damphir Black Blade Magus
- Level 6 Human Heretic Inquisitor of Pharasma

In this homebrew Carrion Crown, I use a slow progression. They already gone through :

- The first two modules of the Carrion Crown AP
- Hangman’s noose, Carnival of Tears, Flight of the Red Raven, Into the Haunted Forest modified scenario
- Little Red Riding Hood, Quasimodo, Jack The Ripper homemade scenario.

I already planned other scenarios or modified modules to balance the slow progression. But I possess the full Curse of the Crimson Throne AP and I thought of using it in my Carrion Crown Campaign.

Here some of the change I want to do:

List of Changes:

- Change Korsova to Caliphas
- Change the Count Galdana kidnapping to a conspiracy against the Prince Aduard Ordranti III (and his false death and kidnapping)
- Change Queen Ileosa to Countess Carmilla Caliphaso (as a Cultist of the Whispering Way)
- Change the Zon-Kuthon followers to Whispering Way Cultists
- Change the Red Mantis Assassin to Undead Assassin (maybe Vampire)

Any other thing I should change?

I'm new on the paizo's messageboards and english isn't my primary language. I'm sorry if I make mistake or if I don't post on the right board.

Soon, I'll be running the Carrion Crown Adventure Path. My (5) players want to play a ''Van Helsing'' like campaign with a slow experience progression.

I know that Carrion Crown already have some classic monster:

Carrion Crown Adventure Path:

- Ghosts and Haunts (The haunting of Harrowstone)
- Frankenstein (The trial of the beast)
- Werewolf (Broken Moon)
- Horrifying Cthulhu Monsters (Wake of Watcher)
- Vampire, Headless Horseman and Witch (Ashes at Dawn)
- Lich, Huecuva, Worm that walk and Ravener (Shadow of Gallowspire)

I want some new classical monsters. Here is a list of what I tought:
