Male Halfling Rogue 3

I am going to hide this thread so that it's no longer cluttering up my campaigns tab. If the game ever gets moving again, please PM me and I'll be happy to join back in.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro was a character I made before I got better at formatting and resource tracking. I've dedicated some time today to updating my older characters who are still in campaigns. His sheet should be much easier to read and understand now.

However, apparently I was completely awful at resource tracking with Miro, so beyond basic equipment I don't know what he actually has. Any help would be very appreciated.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Here and ready to go. No worries DM. Can we get a quick recap of what's going on?

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Happy Holidays everybody! Hope you have a very merry happy wonderful blissful jolly fantastic whatever holiday you celebrate!

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Ah, sorry.

Miro continues with his flank.

Attacks: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 8 + 2 = 12
Damage: 1d4 + 2d6 ⇒ (3) + (5, 4) = 12

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro takes advantage of the flanking situation set up, taking a swing at the creature.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 7 + 2 = 13
Damage: 1d4 + 2d6 ⇒ (1) + (1, 4) = 6

Male Halfling Rogue 3

"Sure thing Kalig." Miro checks the doors for traps as well as a way to open them.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 +1 vs traps

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro stands right behind the ghost, rapier held ready. He nods to Kalig.

Holding a standard action to stab the ghost of it becomes hostile.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro looks at the man with wariness and confusion. He waves his hand to see if the man responds at all.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

1) No. If I was going to leave I would have done so.

2) I don't want to make any changes until a good stopping point regardless.

3) Probably my preferred option. We definitely need a rogue type, so I might just re flavor Miro without changing him mechanically.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

This is a conversation for discussion, not gameplay. Either that or say it in character.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

So I've still been following along and fully intend to continue playing, but I want to explain my lax posting.

Miro was originally designed very specifically for a certain campaign; GM Birch then invited him to join this campaign instead. He seemed to deep a character to waste so I accepted, but now I'm realizing that he's like a fish out of water. I just can't get him immersed in the story, he's like a stranger along for the ride.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

I just caught up with schoolwork, been hectic.

Kalig you approach interrogations with the same questions I do. Covered everything I was going to, so I'm all good!

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

"This was a horrible idea!" Miro goes right back upstairs.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Ah, I had forgotten about that mechanic. Hopefully Miro can make the next save. Cmon racial bonus against fear!

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Will vs Fear: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Duration: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6

Miro panics, fleeing for the hills.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro smiles. "I believe you should be the one to answer questions here. So who are you?"

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro silently moves forward with his rapier in hand, then clears his throat to get the woman's attention.

Action held to attack if she does anything violent. I'm hoping there may be a diplomacy angle here.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro looks at the remains sadly. I hope this isn't it for us.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

All good here.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro freezes at the sight they've burst in on, but once getting over his initial repulsion he laughs. "They'll never believe this one." He keeps an eye on then for their reaction to Horatio.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro glances over all of the equipment then looks at the lights and narrows his eyes. "We're going to be dealing with more than just goblins I fear."

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Nice!

Miro looks at the very fine blade, belting it at his waist.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

At work, will make a longer post later. Just wanted to say that my line for what's acceptable in game is beyond most other gamers, and I'm even fine with the really messed up stuff as long as there's a story reason for it.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro turns away, the display turning his stomach a bit. This is one tough creature they're dealing with.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

"All of this violence." Miro shakes his head, going over and looking at the goblin eye to eye. He tries to use their similar height to empathize with him. "Listen, I don't think you want to die protecting this person. Despite their pretty words they don't particularly want to hurt you either. Just tell us what we need to know and you can go free, halfling's honor."

Bluff: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Good cop, bad cop, hungry cop.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

I feel very lost on the flow of combat right now.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro runs through the battle, trying to help Kalig flank the warchanter.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Damage: 1d4 + 2d6 ⇒ (4) + (2, 6) = 12

Acrobatics if necessary: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

Edit: Confirm: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Crit Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Ah, my apologies. I was remembering the d&d version of the spell.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro charges in at the nearest goblin, trying to stay on the fringes of the battle.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 7 + 2 = 23
Damage: 1d4 + 2d6 ⇒ (3) + (3, 6) = 12

Kalig, flaming sphere only does 2d6 damage.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

"One very strong rope or a lot of normal ones." He looks around expectantly.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro takes out some rope. "I'll lead the horse across riding him. We'll secure the horse with rope and have some of our stronger members holding on. If the bridge should fail they can haul the horse and myself back up."

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro gives a smile as the horse is nurtured. "A fighter, aren't you? Yes we should get him out of here before anything else happens."

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro kneels in front of each body for a few moments, then wipes off the blood from his blade and stores it. He looks a little more grave than usual, giving short nods to the words of approval. "Let's search a little more before torching it. If anything to learn more before we reduce the place to ashes."

Male Halfling Rogue 3

You can? That's sweet, I'll take that option!

Crit Damage: 1d4 + 1d4 + 2d6 ⇒ (1) + (4) + (6, 3) = 14

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Sorry, somehow missed the most recent posts.

Miro watches the sentry for a minute. "Stay here."

Stealth: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9 Pshhhhhhhhhh.
Damage: 1d4 + 2d6 ⇒ (3) + (6, 3) = 12

Yes, congratulations! :D

Now you won't need to use your skills as a rogue (filcher).

If I managed to steal a 4 ton piece of equipment in my car I think I deserve it.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

I just landed a solid job that gives me near daily 7-3 hours. My posting will be non-existent during those hours, but I wills till be active after that.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro jumps on one of the dogs before it can get off of it's heels.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Damage: 1d4 + 2d6 ⇒ (4) + (4, 2) = 10

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Running in.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro grits his teeth, feeling much of the same anger as Kalig although not quite as severe as a druid's. With her charging the one holding the gull he attacks the one throwing rocks.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Damage: 1d4 + 2d6 ⇒ (2) + (1, 3) = 6

Male Halfling Rogue 3

"Good eye Veryl. That's a smart trap." Miro begins moving across the bridge on his light feet.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro takes the bag with good spirits. "Well this should keep us on our feet for a long time." He gives one of each kind of potion to each party member.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro gives a concerned nod at the elven woman. "Spellcasters always make plans more difficult. Good connection on the hand Horatio." Miro chuckles at the talk over chivalry, keeping his opinion to himself. He gives a shake of his head to Merwyn. "Burning the entire place down is messy. Let's keep it a bit simpler than that."

He gives a bit of thought to the boat idea. "No shore access by nonmagical means. What would a levitate spell get us?"

Veryl wrote:

"It is not just a matter of looks, that can be solved the same way Merwyn made Breaca appear like Ameiko" Veryl leaned back in on the table, his focus shifting towards Kalig "Tell me did you ever scare someone into giving you what they owned? Did you ever intimidate shopkeepers into giving you protection money? How many times did you use your ability to induce fear to solve your problems?"

"Now you're getting into my territory."

"I like the disguise and infiltration idea, but perhaps a different spin on it?"

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro looks around the building with a measure of respect. He's not pious himself, but understands the need for faith in certain people's lives and respects the multiple deities represented here.

When the priest runs up, Miro raises his brows in surprise. "Stolen?" He frowns. It is as we feared. "We need to nip this in the bud before the ritual is complete."

That was a brilliant phase that is well said and sounds great. I'm going to steal that.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro slips in the doorway, stopping to admire the books. If I only had the time. His hand almost reaches out to look at one, but he pulls it back and keeps himself focused. One day.

Miro nods to Veryl's statement, affirming their intentions here.

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro keeps one eye on Veryl, still worrying about him. He silently takes his place next to the warrior. He gives a nod at the statement of letting the party know how Ameiko is doing. "I'll have the same."

Male Halfling Rogue 3

Miro listens quietly, then pads off after Veryl. He puts a comforting arm on the big man's elbow. "You doing ok?"
