"Oh c'mon, boss!" Mircalla rolls her eyes at Edward "We've got a truce. When am I going to have a chance like this again?"

As Merro starts to walk away, Mircalla starts to follow.
Brown eyes shiny with anticipation, Mircalla jumps out onto the bank, grabbing hold of a branch of the oak that moors the ship.
"Caw?"
Mircalla, head cocked, looks on as the older members of the party talk. There is a worried look on her face.
Mircalla chants, touches Ivan on the shoulder, turns and leaves. She pointedly does not wish her mentor luck.
Mircalla looks unconvinced, but without support acquiesces "All right, I'll ward Ivan and guard the boat then." She mutters a little in Kellid under her breath.
"That's not fair!"
"Oh - me too. One of, anyway."
"Who's 'him'? The spirit, or bugalugs here?" Mircalla nodded at Pinough. "If it is a spirit, who is it?" she thinks for a second "Also, I'm prepared to give up my claim on the top floor. In the interest of group harmony, science, and not being killed."
"Can I have the top floor?" asks Mircalla, who comes from a society where height equals status.
"Oh, I'm good. I managed to take the Library. Now I'm learning wizardry. Once the school sets up I can ride that up a tower. Thanks for the idea though." she looks at Edward predatorially.
Mircalla snorts
"I think it looks Edge. Why don't we go look around? Does it cost a lot of money?"
Mircalla talks through a mouthful of "sautéed frog cuts with a hint of pepper and a minnow garnish".
Mircalla admires Ivan's skill as he lands fish after fish. "Sure! Books are full of interesting things. Well, some books. Mostly I like books about history - I love reading about all the awesome things that have happened. Hey - do you think we'll end up in a book? This is pretty awesome, right?"
She looks out
Mircalla shows herself a practical girl. She sets up a large hammock, then lays a sleeping bag wound round with three blankets inside it. She then lays a few lines off the back of the boat to catch fish. She spends a lot of the day sitting on the deck in the sunshine, half-heartedly watching her lines and paging through a handwritten book.
Mircalla poses in what she obviously assumes is the way a gentleman's escort stands.
"It was my intent to use that to send Mircalla back to Ravenholm once we were established." "Aw, Boss. Ascanor sounds more fun than patching up Ravenholm."
Mircalla smiles like a child seeing a magician "Nice!"
The bird remains silent.
"I suggest a cover for our wanderings, if questions are asked. But I admit I'm at a bit of a loss as to what that cover could be. Why would two academics, a woodsman, a paladin of Asmodeaus, a gambler, and an explorer be traveling to Ascanor Lodge? Any suggestions?"[/b] "Uh, you all look like nobles. Couldn't you just be Hunters?" "Anyway, if you need scouting done... Carmilla could do it." "Oh!" She adds "By the way. No-one shoot any Ravens or I'll shoot you."
"Nice! I've only shot game and trolls. I use a Karakbow, used to be my mum's." she indicates the monstrous crossbow on her back "What about you?"
Mircalla beams at Ivan "Thank you." she eyes his bow "I'm a hunter too. You shoot game or people?"
Micalla seems on the verge of cursing at Edward, but - obviously with some difficulty - restrains her tongue and instead does an awkward curtsy.
Mircalla knows enough not to interrupt the conversation, waiting her turn.
Grumbling Mircalla grabs the bags, precariously balances them and lumbers after the retreating Aldous.
"He said they were fighting. Hey - could we start a..."
"What's happening?" asks the new girl of Edward, unslinging her crossbow "Are we fighting? Which ones are ours?"
Edward's assistant staggers down the docks, barely moving under her load. Over her left shoulder is slung a bulging backpack, under her right arm is precariously balanced an enormous bag, and on her back is a strange, giant looking reversed crossbow with arms spreading like small wings. Perched on top of that is an enormous raven - almost like some sort of orcish war totem. Finally making her way over to Edward she grunts as she dumps the bag and backpack unceremoniously on the ground and shoots him a filthy look. Now clearly visible she can be seen to be relatively attractive, wearing highly practical, yet primitive clothes with little decoration except feathers, scraps of fur and a few tiny skulls. She kicks the backpack, which makes a dull ringing noise for a moment. "What?" she asks Edward.
