Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana frozen by the Demons spell is unable to stop Eldramin from pulling the sword and freeing the demon, wanting to stop him before he does such a stupid act. She tries to break out of the spell placed upon her and resist the newly arrived creature. Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 Unfortunately the spell that has her is too powerful to resist and she is affected by the newly arrived creature as well. initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana looks to Eldramin and says, "That is a foolish move Eldramin." She says steping out in front of him as he moves for the sword. "The demon has been bound for many ages. It can stand to be bound a bit longer while we go to someone who is better able to banish this creature or suggest an alternate action to take."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana says to the others and says, "Do not trust this snake's words. A demon is a creature of chaos and evil incarnate. They do not keep their word nor are they bound to keep their agreements. Demons are driven to do what their evil nature desires. Free that demon and the lives of many will be on your conscience."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 Mirana is not fooled by the tricky pleas of the bound demon. She says back to the creature, "Do not try and justify your actions Demon. Your blind acts of vengeance only spreads further seeds of evil throughout all of Eberron. You seek not justice, you know not meaning of the word in your blacked essence that was once a soul. You seek only Retribution and in turn feed the cycle of destruction as it is in your nature Demon."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
"I have heard of spells that can banish creatures not of this plane back to their proper realm. If we can somehow get ahold of such a spell, we should be able to free the demon and then promptly send it away from here and back to the abyss it belongs in. The question is how we can acquire such a spell and who here has the power to cast it successfully."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana thinks and then says, "So Froake was once a feylord of the Seelie but then fell to evil. Well if the Summer Queen is willing to aid in Froake's demise then is beyond redemption. But then again, we do know a demon is here and the words may be lies to but provoke us to do an action that may free him."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana with her weapon ready says, "This may be a daunting place to be but the exit out of here is across this cavern. Let us head to the exit at the other end but be prepared for battle. Mirana starts heading towards the door but is cautious to look around for dangers that may be apparent. Spot: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Taking a look at the collapsed tunnel and then the party Mirana says, "I believe everyone is alright, if not a little dirtier from their experience. It appears this section of the city wan not structurally sound. We do not have the time or the tools to dig ourselves out. This leaves us with one choice to proceed. The only way out is in. Hopefully there is an alternate exit to be found further in."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana says, "We use the Sunrod. A torch is not bright enough to illuminate the entire party. We shall now proceed in and get this job done." Mirana follows closely behind Bludgeon ready to back him up in melee when and if the undead start to show themselves. She does not bother with stealth considering that they can't actually be stealthy with such a light source and having a massive Warforged stomping around with them. spot: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana Falataur says to Bludgeon "Do not worry about me Bludgeon. I come prepared with a weapon for most circumstances." She pulls out a heavy mace from her belt, "While I prefer the grace of a long sword, I know that the blunt weapon is good for smashing bone. Let us proceed to the task shall we." She heads off with the group to the task location. She looks to the others and says, "There is likely no natural light sources in there. I have four Sunrods available to use but we need to designate one person to be a light carrier. If the need calls for it I can summon some dancing lights but they last but only a minute of time. I can carry the light if needs be or one of you can. Who is willing to volunteer? In the meantime she also readies her Mace and Light Shield.
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana Falatur says "This does appear to be a quest worthy of our talents. If there is restless dead they will threaten the lives of the living. We should do our best to see that the undead do not cause harm to the people of this city. And helping one of the Dragonmarked Houses will certainly look good on our reputation."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana is surprised to hear that there is an elven dragonmarked house. "Interesting. I have not heard of this House Phiarlon. But I suppose since the house was out of favour with the Undying Court that it was not spoken of in general society. I was not much of a historian I am afraid. This is something to look into later. When they meet with Verdan, Mirana says, "It is a pleasure to meet you sir. I am honoured to meet with a respected member of the Dragonmarked Houses. I'm am Mirana Falataur, Bladesinger of Aerenal and the leader of this expedition of adventurers. If we could partake in the hospitality do your house, we would be most appreciative."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana looks at the sight of the household and looks impressed. "Impressive indeed these gardens are. They grow so wild and untamed even within a city such as this." Mirana looks to the Dragonmark and says to Simon, "That is quite the Dragonmark you have there Simon. I have heard such marks mean a great destiny is upon you in life. I do find it strange though that despite the elves being a long lived race, none of my kind bear the dragon-marked heritage. Only Half-Breeds of certain houses have been shown to develop such things. Why that is, I know not."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana when hearing the Emerald Claw being mentioned begins to suspect he is trying to gode her into a trap. She says to him, "Well the Emerald Claw might be able to help you. They are reasonably proficent as a fighting company. Just expect them to charge you quite a price for their services. Good day to you Mister Cartamon."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
"Well I myself have few errands beyond getting a place to stay which should not take too long to arrange as I have a contact here in the city among one of the houses. But I have other companions of my adventuring group who have their own errands to run that could take some time. If this Half-Giant is a formidable foe and if there is other monsters we may not know about down in the Waterway, we would be better off with greater numbers rather than just myself and my colleague Bludgeon here."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Yea, I have played DDO before so I know Stormreach has a good deal of quest areas for adventurers. :-) Well mister Cartamon. I am interested in helping you with your problem, but I need to know the timeline you are willing to negotiate. We may not get to searching the Waterworks for a few hours as some of our travelling companions have some errands to run and I myself have to get settled with accommodations for my stay. So how urgent is your need for this gem?
Female Elf Duskblade 1
"Oh you have been robbed good sir. That is unfortunate to hear. Well I suppose we could do what we can to find your important property. When and if we find this half giant and this gem it shall be returned to you. Which drain was the thief last headed to?" Sense motive: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana Falataur nods and says, "I agree. I myself would like to explore this city a bit more to get the ley of the land and take in the sights. Still I also would like to do something productive while I'm here. A small job of some kind such as a monster hunt outside the gates might be just what we need to get the blood pumping."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
"I would be partial to visiting House Jorasco. Indeed if we can save money on an inn room by taking part in your hospitality I certainly would accept it. As for splitting up, I would rather we stay together as a group. There is the danger of the Emerald Claw, who very well may strike us unprepared if we divide up our numbers." She looks to Bludgeon and says, "Still if we do split Bludgeon, I do agree we should think of a meeting place. House Jorasco sounds like a place we could gather once we've got our business done in the city."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana Falataur looks upon storm-reach from the airship. She had never been to Stormreach, the city on the frontier of Xen'Drik but knew it reputation as the last port before Xen'Drik and a stopping area for most travelers who wish to go there. Indeed she had heard that this city was built on the ruins of an old city of Giants and indeed still bore some architecture for that time period. After exiting the ship and entering the harbor, she looks to the rest of the group and says, "The first order of business is to find the Wavecrest Tavern. If they have an inn portion of the tavern, we should arrange to get some rooms there. Once we've settled in I am sure we could occupy our time here in Stormreach. Rather than relax for the next three days I would recommend seeking out some kind of task to put our skills to use. I am sure there is a number of mercenary duties we could perform in order to get some additional coin. Stormreach as far as I heard has quite a lot of work for adventurers."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
She looks to the commander gives a slight smirk saying "Oh no, he's made me quite an offer for my services. He is a rather respectful businessman to be sure and has treated us with the up most respect, unlike yourself. You of course should know the call of coin and profit blurs racial lines. But don't think you can bribe our group to go onto your side. I honor my deals and we have an iron-clad agreement that I intend to fulfill. Now I an hoping we can be respectful rivals and not engage in undue conflict. I am sure there is plenty of profit in adventure for all of us to not step on each other's toes."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Crap totally misread things on my part. I ment we were boarding the Storm's Glory, not the Emerald Claw. Sorry for the mix up. Mirana Falataur looks to the others and says, "The Emerald Claw may be our rivals in this but we shall not start the conflict between us. If they get in our way we shall defend ourselves. I shant cause problems in the city by participating in a brawl in the docks."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana Falataur nods to zil at the meeting point and says "We are at your service Mr. Zil." She looks to Simon and the others, "It appears we've got no time to prepare. Off the the ship everyone, post haste." She stands up and begins swiftly heading out towards the meeting point. At the ship, she boards the Emerald Claw saying, "We have a duty to perform. On the ship everyone. Let us be off on our journey."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
She nods to Zil and says, "Very well then Mr. Zil. I appreciate you accept us for the position." She looks to the others and says, "If you have any last minute shopping you need done, I'ed get it out of the way now. You won't find much of the features of civilization in Xen'drik."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
She nods to Blugeon and says, "I appreciate your support my good friend. With your might at my side we shall be a force to be reckoned with in the land of Xen'drik." She looks to the others, "While I am in command, I expect you to follow my orders when given. I believe in free will however so such commands will only be issued in times of need. Feel free to share whatever advice you have on various situations as we are working as a team and should contribute all our best skills to better aid the group and its success."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana Falataur says to the question, "I am certainly willing to take the lead in this expedition. I have the skill to hold my own in the front lines of battle and the magic to enhance my battle prowess. Xen'drik was once the homeland of the Elves and there is likely many relics that I can identify in our journey. As for Nix taking the lead, one has to be cautious of the Changelings. They hold nothing as their own and their trickery makes them untrustworthy."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana glares at Nix with a look of dislike. The fact that this Changeling was masquerading as an elf was a hit to her pride. She would be less offended if she took a human form but a changeling masquerading as one of the Elvenkind was an insult to her race. She says to the Changeling, "I do not appreciate your kind taking the shape of the elves. Our race is our own in body, mind and soul. To take on such attributes is a grave offense to my people."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana Falataur looks excited and says, "An airship you say? It is excellent to have a chance to sail the very skies on one of the Airships of Ebberon. Far better a journey then by sea I would say. As for the job, you have my blade, magic and skills on your side good sir. To find a lost flying city of old Xen'drik would be an adventure unlike I have ever experienced." Hearing Eldramin's question she says, "Indeed, knowing what threats and rivals we may face beforehand would allow us to better face that which may oppose our progress."
Female Elf Duskblade 1
Mirana gives a respectful pose to the Gnome and says to him. "It is a pleasure to meet you Zil Feywind. I am Mirana Falataur, bladesinger from the lands of Arenal. I hope to explore the lost lands of Eberron and discover lost relics of my people. But in pursuit of this my skills of blade and magic are exceptional and I shall be of a great boon to the quest at hand." Mirana is an average sized elf with long blonde hair and viloet eyes. She is dressed in leather with a chain-shirt and carries a fine looking elven longsword and a shield bearing the heraldry of Arenal on the front. She seems quite fit and intelligent in her posture.
Mirana hails from Arenal where she trained in the arts of a Bladesinger, combining sword skills with magic. In the last war she fought as a foot solider doing honorable service for her people in the battlex As for her goals in Xen'drik, she seeks to find lost artifacts of the elven people that were left there after her people fled to Arenal. After all Xen'drik was originally the homeland of the elves.
