Its getting really bad again...this is the 3rd game in the last few months I joined and it died before even the first adventure...it is very discouraging.
Was just wondering that myself.....is the DM still around? Maybe drop him a note to see if this is still a go or not.
Hmmm..Milo has deception, bribery and intimidation ... maybe adding negotiation will make him useful in those situations when we need to bluff our way into or out of a tight place!
Milo smiles at his big friend and nods. "Your right of course..but it just so hard to tell when you are frowning in happiness or anger!" He jokes with his friend but he too is wondering were their next pay will come. "It's been a few weeks since our last employment. I hope something comes along soon or we will have to give all this splendor up!" he says gesturing around the crampted, almost empty room.
Milo chuckles at the trollkin's antics. "Why in such a good mood this evening my friend? Did someone find a new friend to play with...hmmm?" The older human laughs and sits down at a table where a number of small tools are laid out. He takes a small tin of wax and begins to go over each item lovingly, making sure they are well protected from the damp weather. "I could always, you know, find something interesting for us to do. I know a few people who would love to hire us for..errmm..work!" It is an old argument, and Milo is only half serious. Since going legit, he has tried to stay away from such people, but his reputation sometimes proceeds him, and he and Mao did make a very good team in the old days.
Milo is a leader to himself only..lol....and having to lug Mao around is enough responsibility for him!!
Sorry Mao, Milo could definitely be a part of your background. With his unusual background, Milo was once part of the underground, but also flourished as a respectable teacher of fencing. You could be a contact to his 'rambunctious' youth.
Here is a character I had made for another Iron Kingdom game, but it did not last. Perhaps he will be helpful with the Ratcatchers!!!
While his employer speaks to the merchant, Milo keeps a watch on the rest of the market.
Milo nudges his master and nods towards the tinker packing his stall. "Seems Pytre is leaving early. Never know him to leave while money was still on the table. Maybe he knows something we don't. Should we maybe talk to him, lord?"
Description: Milo stands just shy of 6' and has a slim build. He moves with a dancer's grace, but has a weariness about him. His cloths look to be good quality, but seem to fit him poorly. You feel that even if they were brand new, and tailored they would still look a little shabby and worn on this man. His dark hair is parted down the middle and slicked back with some sort of pomade that smells faintly like oranges. His thick, dark mustache is waxed at the tips, to give him a walrus-like appearance. It is in his dark grey eyes that some of his true nature can be seen, and there is no doubt in your mind that this man has taken lives in the defense of his master.
Ok..crunch is updated..just need a background...but otherwise ready to play! (i hope)

Well it looks like Pale King has created his noble...and I think it would be kinda cool to have a noble and his bodyguard chased into the wilds only to fall in with a Trollkin Kriel from the Glimmerwood!! I am adjusting my character from an investigator to more of a bodyguard and spy.
I am still here...looking to alter Milo some to make him fit the part of a noble's bodyguard a little better...if no one else is playing human, then maybe I will roll up a Trollkin and join the others....but I would prefer playing on the Full Metal side.
Sorry was hoping to have some of my character re-worked by now, but work got in the way!!! Will be looking to maybe changing careers up a bit to fall more in-line with the outdoor-feel of the game (as suggested) and beef up my combat skills...he was originally created for a city-based adventure....if I recall correctly....cannot believe that was 3 years ago!! lol
Poking my head in...was my build ok?? I will make up a background this weekend, or maybe work with anyone else who is looking at the Full Metal side character so we can mesh them together better.
That would work out nicely...perhaps sent in by Cygnar to protect a possible asset??
Oops..sorry, was so excited to see this post, I forgot!! Do you have the books / PDFs? - if so, do you have just the original Core book, or Unleashed as well?
What sort of character would you like to play?
Would you be happy with a Trollkin centric PbP? - if not, then which racial /social group would you prefer to build around? (ie. Blackclads, Farrow, etc)
Which geographical / political areas of Western Immoren are your favorite and why? - do you like Khador, Cygnar, Five Fingers, etc.

Milo steps back from the bodies and watches as the others jump into action. He keeps his eyes on the bodies, making sure that they do not decide to get up.
Milo halts before he reaches the ogrun bodies and studies the markings on the ground. He is about to give a warning, when the sharp-eyed Nyss calls out. He waits as the elf climbs the farm house to get a better view.
Noticing a few inconsistencies, Milo inspect the corpses much more closely, removing from the folds of his coat, a large magnifying glass.
Milo moves towards the barn. He keeps his eyes and ears open for any out of place noises or items.
As one of the few non-combat characters, Milo is willing to leave all this strategy stuff to the warriors...until it come time to be sneaky, or crafty!
Milo would probably follow Sasha because he is from here and would have better knowledge of the area...but he would probably feel more comfortable with Cephas...both of them being foreigners.
Milo looks over at the warrior and simply says, "My name is Milovich. Just a concerned citizen." As they approach the farm, Milo watches the others ready themselves and examine the area. When Sasha states he will approach on the main road, Milo immediately heads off to one side to circle clockwise around the hold-stead. Using his powers of observation, he surveys the area as he goes.
"Well now...I guess we are one happy family and can continue onward. How far is this farm anyway?" Milo asks, hoping to move the group on and stop the many questions that he has no wish of answering.
Milo bundles himself up as best he can, and follows the others out into the village, then to the farm.
"Well I guess there is no better time then the present," Milo mutters as he stands and moves over to where the Iron Fang and elf are gathering their equipment.
Milo waits to see if anyone else rises after the big trollkin gives his speech. Just as it seems the elders are ready to continue, Milo stands. "Errmm...Hi. My name is Milovich, or Milo for short. I would like to join this group of stalwart adventures in protecting the town from the ravages that threaten it. I hope that our very diverse group will come together and make the town proud of us." He quickly sketches a short bow and sits back down.
Milo listens with interest as the two elves clash.
Realization dawns on Milo.
Faking the toasts, Milo barely lets the horrid liquid dampen his lips, but keeps up the appearance of a loyal member of the town. He notices the two elves ignore this custom, for the most part, and wonder why. His eyes continue to search the crowd, looking for more inconsistencies from the people there. The warcrafter gives him pause.
Milo watches the proceedings with some interest. While his studies told him of such meetings, this is the first one he has even seen. He wonders what is wrong, that the whole council is here. Perhaps that is the reason for all the military-types hanging about....he hopes.

Thanks, and I did forget about the boosted roll for perception!! Also, as a fairly new arrival, I am playing it that Milo knows nothing about the call for help, but rather stumbled into this situation! Milo continues to look over the crowd, marking those individuals who seem to stick out from the locals.
