What are the odds of the Paizo release schedule and PaizoCon coinciding this year? Will there be the chance that we could pick up our subscriptions directly from the Con this year?

Just to confirm and put people at ease, as of 1645PST today, the room block had not been filled.

How many of the authors and artists will be present?

Are there any plans to include classes from the Ultimate series of books, such as the Cavalier, Alchemist and Magus?

So I have an idea for a spell that I'd like to present to my DM, and would like to get some general feedback here before I hand it over to him.

Take a Ray of Enfeeblement and change the ability damage to Dexterity. No change to the amount of ability damage, but I am unsure if the spell level should be higher, or if the save should be Reflex or Fort on this one...

Comments, advice?

Congrats to Paizo for their 5th Con! I had the fortune to be able to get tickets to the banquet, and listen in on many of the announcements of the great new items coming down the pipe.

It is with great regret that my Fiancee and I will not attend any future banquets though. The food was mostly inedible, with enough hot spices to ignite a 3-alarm fire in one's mouth, the potatoes were over-salted, spiced and dry, leaving bread and green salad as the only edible dinner items in the buffet line.

The dessert item selection was also very limited, with only 2 different items available at any given time, (and even then, what did get out was mostly an empty plate) despite there being a total of 4-6 items overall.

I am highly disappointed with the banquet, and would say that it is easily among the 5 worst ones I had been to in my lifetime.

It might be easy to say that ours was an isolated opinion, but it happened to be shared by at least 80% of the table.

Somewhere in the echoing vastness of my empty head, I seem to recall that there is either a feat, or a Magus Arcana that allows the character to convert a ray type spell into a touch type spell, but for the life of me I cannot find the reference.

Can anyone point me in the correct direction?

So this is my first PaizoCon, and I'm taking my fiancee to it.

I note carefully that there are 'Limited' events, that neither of us would be interested in, since we are making our first forays into PFS, and want to hit the Convocation and First Steps very badly *together*.

I look and see that the actual PFS events are marked as 'Open', so I'm thinking (from my ages-old experience with living Greyhawk) that usually there are multiple tables of the same event happening at the same time, and the chances of us getting in are pretty good if we show up.

I did *not* realize that there would be a second round of a lottery process that we had to participate in to get signed up in order to play.

Even though we are getting hitched 2 weeks after the Con, she's going to have my 'nads in a sling if we don' get to play.

Anyone able to help a brother out?

I wonder if it would be possible / feasible to change from a Runelords Campaign (my players have just completed Burnt Offerings), and switch mid-stream into Jade Regent.

Yes, I'd have to slow down the progression quite a bit in the first book of JR, and the encounters would be pretty easy or have to be beefed up a little, but by the time that the players are in the 2nd book, they would only be 1, possibly 2 levels ahead of the curve, and that margin would virtually vanish by the end of the 3rd book.

I heard in a Paizocon podcast that the Players Guide will have some sections on integrating events from Runelords, so I was wondering what others felt about this...

Happy New Year!

Order # 1545076 was fulfilled and shipped before Christmas, and box 1, containing the Bestiary 2 and my Rise of the Runelords map folio arrived safely on the 27th.

Box 2, with the rest of my order hasn't shown up yet. How long should I give it before I start to panic?

I will be dusting off the 'ol dice later this summer and running a campaign for the first time in well over a decade.I've chosen Pathfinder for the rules set, and Golarion for the setting.

Now here's the crux of the issue: PF has so many different Adventure Paths (which at first glance all seem to be fully fledged campaigns), the Society adventures, which by the looks of them are sort of like the old 'Living' campaigns from my old Con-going days, and would take a hell of alot of work to make them into more traditional modules.

Where do I start?

Is there some sort of quick overview / 'general flavour' description of the various Paths that is readily available? For example, if some paths rely more on politics and intrigue, or if some are the straight-up dungeon crawls, or wilderness types?

Is there some way to easily switch back and forth between one or two of the Paths?

What Paizo has done with the old 3.5 is amazing, and i can't wait to expose my players to it....

I've been pouring through the Core Rulebook, and cannot find any costing for the creation of magic items that grant virtual feats.

What I am trying to do is have an exotic weapon that grants proficiency to use it to any wielder, and possibly an extra feat or 2 if the weapon's matched twin is worn by the character.

Any suggestions?
