Scarab Sages

I do fumbles in a way that they only get hit by the initial attack. If they had more that 1 attack it just misses.

Im totally down for a planar adventure. Maybe even be hunted by paladins or worshipers of the lady of graves cause hes cheating their god. As for the AP if they ignore it. The freezing winter takes over the world in a sense. But im very down for a mythic adventure. Its 3/4 new players. The more exotic the better.

Scarab Sages

I love crit fumbles its too nice of a game without them.

Scarab Sages

Btw im all for them going off and leaving the campaign. Ill make it slowly consume and destroy the world. But that would just be fun. Im looking for advice on how to build and manage a "seeking my life back" campaign. My current idea is to have them travel through the planes of hell to find the cleric that death knelled him so he can re-obtain his life force. Thoughts?

Scarab Sages

Im currently running a Reign of Winter Campaign. And near the end of the first chapter is a (spoilers) cleric fight. In short my ranger crit fumbled and KOed himself. The cleric then Death Knelled him. And the rest of the PCs (monk, sorc, and a cleric) beat him to death. On him he had a scroll of animate dead. I allowed the PC cleric to animate the now dead ranger as a intelligent zombie and continue playing. With the stipulation that the cleric falls to necromancer status and if he dies the ranger goes with him. (Houseruled like crazy I know but it sounded fun) Well the talk at the table is that the now zombie ranger wants to find a way to become human again. I get the vibe that they are basically going to abandon the RoW campaign for the most part in this quest. But how should I continue this? I have tons of options but Id like more experienced gm/player advice/suggestions.
