Ok, that makes sense.

Thanks for the help, this is my first time playing a Psion in Pathfinder and most of Psionics knowledge is from AD&D, so I'm going to have many dumb questions.

The way I'm reading is that both abilities are checking if the Power's entry has an augmentable option, and if not both abilities would activate (MI for mind affecting and EM for all).

Mental Intrusion (Ex)

At 2nd level, as long as you maintain psionic focus, increase the save DC of any mind-affecting power you manifest by 1 for every 2 power points you spend augmenting the power, provided the augmentation does not already increase the power’s save DC. For the purpose of this ability, you may spend additional power points augmenting a mind-affecting power’s save DC even on a power that normally does not have any augment options.

Endowed Mind
As long as you maintain psionic focus, increase the save DC of any power you manifest by 1 for every 2 power points you spend augmenting the power, provided the augmentation does not already increase the power’s save DC. You may even spend 2 power points to increase a power’s save DC even if the power does not have any augment options.

Do these stack? Would a mind-affecting power increase its DC by 2 for every 2 PP spent to augment? Mental Intrusion is Extraordinary and Endowed Mind is Supernatural.

Ok, Anguish. Thanks for the advice.

I'm going to begin pay in a campaign and am playing a Psion Telepath, who'll become a Mindthrall. So I'm an evil face -type who enjoys controlling people. I've never played a Psion in Pathfinder before and I'd like to know which of Mental Intrusion and Impose Will would be more useful to me?

I'll be the only Psion in my group and quite possibly in the campaign world (I'm from another dimension), so some powers wont be useful to me at all and I won't be going up against other psychics.

My player's have just left Rickety's Squibs and are headed to Bloodcove. Now there's nothing in the AP or Region-specific books that address the issue, but I figure most port's would charge a ship a fee to allow them to dock there. What would be a reasonable amount?

Different ports would probably charge different amounts, so maybe Bloodcove and Eledar would be higher than normal, Bloodcove because they can get away with it and Eledar because the Baron is trying to refill the coffers, but I'm trying to find an 'average' price without just making up a number.

RE:Zul, what if it was changed so the DC16 Fort save negated the Dex damage but NOT the slowed effect? Would that gimp it too much?

I'm wondering how other DM's handled

Spoiler:
the Marid trapped in Sumitha? Presumably my party won't want to free her but keep her captive and make use of her wishes. The AP makes it seem like she had a bunch of wishes to throw around, but the Bestiary says Marids have one wish per year. Still, a free wish-granting genie already stuck on their island base seems a bit much.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I've explained it to my party that the society of the Shackles is like the Mafia, with the Hurricane King as the Don and Free Captains as essentially 'made-men', recognized as legitimate members of Shackles society but expected to contribute and not make waves (pardon the pun) by doing actions that are bad for business.
