Thank you kindly.

My apologies, not the Multiattack feat. Go with this:

Multiweapon Fighting

I remember seeing this race last week, and you're concept might have a good synergy with it.

The Kasatha has four arms and rather than going Two-Weapon fighting, go with Multiattack since it applies here.

I hope this helped a bit.

Pathfinder wrote:

A whip deals no damage to any creature with an armor bonus of +1 or higher or a natural armor bonus of +3 or higher. The whip is treated as a melee weapon with 15-foot reach, though you don't threaten the area into which you can make an attack. In addition, unlike most other weapons with reach, you can use it against foes anywhere within your reach (including adjacent foes).

Using a whip provokes an attack of opportunity, just as if you had used a ranged weapon.

You can use the Weapon Finesse feat to apply your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier to attack rolls with a whip sized for you, even though it isn't a light weapon.

Weapon Feature(s): finesse, reach.

If you were specializing in trip or disarm mechanics, then I could see the usefulness in it. At level 1, it would add to strength and +4 on any CMB you do. Plus, since it's a swift action...yeah, I'd say a one level dip for this would be good. Heck, a one level dip in this would work for any combat maneuver, haha.

As soon as I saw the feat Cloud Gazer, which applies to Sylph characters, I was thinking of a Master Summoner build utilizing it. The problem I'm having is Obscuring Mist isn't one of the spells on the Summoner spell list, so, I was wondering if you guys knew of a means of gaining Obscuring Mist and related spells through feats, traits, or something.

I prefer full casting to partial casting. Also, clerics can cast almost all of the divine spells in the game, can fill pretty much any role when properly speced, and armor does not impede their spellcasting. Oh, and they can summon stuff. I like that summoning bit.

This thread is a continuation of the following:
Previous Thread.

-------------------------------------------

The vision I have is of a dwarf who feels the gods aren't gods but actually lower beings who attained great power through others giving it to them, or by taking it away from those who already had it. This power they have is used unwisely, and therefore, my dwarf wishes to kill them so that he might re-establish a proper pantheon of higher beings to rule the planes.

So far, two builds have my interest.
#1 - Dwarven Cleric of Travel and the Dark Tapestry
He focuses on summoning creatures from the void, and buffs them and himself for combat so that they both may wage war against heaven, hell, and the other planes of existence.

#2 - Dwarven Cleric of Madness
This one is a save-or-die character mentioned briefly by Wiggz that I feel is quite interesting when paired with the theologian archetype as he had mentioned. We will further discuss this build so that I may properly understand the mechanics.

Now, seeing as both builds are quite powerful in their own respects, I'd like to see if we could combine them. The Madness domain directly correlates to the ability scores of this character (14, 14, 15, 16, 17, 17), so that leaves the feats open for the summoning strategy. The before mentioned scores for the abilities are just numbers and can be placed anywhere, so feel free on changing, mixing, and matching them as you see fit.

Here is what I have to work with:

All pathfinder content (no dnd 3.5 conversions) and 2 traits
Lawful Evil Level 1 Dwarf Cleric with ability scores of 14, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 17

As in my previous thread, I will accept all constructive criticism, ideas, suggestions, and anything relevant to my goal: creating a lawful evil dwarf bent on killing gods. Anything that does not fall under the above mentioned criteria of helpfulness will be ignored. Thank you all for your help thus far, and I look forward to working with you all.

Let the brainstorming begin.

Can't play the Ur-Priest because it's not pathfinder.

"All things pathfinder (except for 3rd party and D&D 3.5) are acceptable."

The world I'm playing in is not Golarion, Eberron, Dragonlance, or whatever the heck you wish to name off the top of your head. It's a homebrew world that the dm controls and what the dm says goes.

Bottom line, DM says I can use ideals as a source of divine power. I'm repeating again, anything that does not fall under "constructive criticism", or progress relevant to the first thread will be ignored.

Lawful Evil Cleric
Any Favored Weapon (because dm says I can)
Any domain (because dm says I can)
I prefer a build based on summoning with the Dark Tapestry domain, or if you can show me a viable save or die cleric, that would work, too.

Think god killer. That's what I'm aiming for.

Kazaan, you are amazing, and I thank you for all of that.

Although, this cleric is able to choose whichever favored weapon he so chooses because the dms allow it.

That last bit, "another way to put it is that a Cleric who hates all higher beings, instead, derives their divine power from the Universe (or multi-verse) itself through their conviction of self-reliance", describes my character's philosophy in it's fullest.

And Aasimars, Tieflings, and any other extraplanar creature is assumed to have long life-spans.

I know I'll be using it a lot, but I've been looking at negative channeling and it's feat extensive to keep it viable throughout. Also, it's one save away from being denied. I mean, yes, I see the value in it, but I don't see why I should create a whole build around the feature. Would you mind explaining your reasoning behind channeling as a focus? That might help me understand a little better.

Oh, forgot a few things.

All things pathfinder (except for 3rd party and D&D 3.5) are acceptable.
Any archetype works.
And the cleric can have traits. (2 to be exact)

So, here's the deal. I'm trying to build an evil character, and since I've been playing nothing but Lawful Goods and Neutral Goods for the past six years, I don't quite know how to make one. Thus far, I've been able to think of Lawful Evil for the alignment, and I don't want him worshiping any deities. Rather, this character is kind of a perversion of my own beliefs. He hates all higher beings, believes that they have the ability to make choices just as humans, elves, and the rest of the midget folk out there do, too (yes, dwarves, you're included), and have failed to help earth bound peoples, so he plans on wiping them out.

Anywho, I was thinking a Lawful Evil cleric for this one just because I don't like being a band-aid, and when people look at me and think "Sweet! We have a healer!" they're quickly going to realize the monstrosity that I am. I'd love to go with a save-or-die build, but, again, most save or die spells for clerics are will based (please, oh please prove me wrong and show me how this could be viable). I was thinking about necromancer, but that's so damned tedious, and a higher level cleric in the party could easily get rid of them (by mistake). Lastly, I was thinking about a summoning cleric. Not summoner. I'm looking at you Dark Tapestry Domain and the sexy beast you are...well, at least you make stuff happen once a day. That's pretty cool.

When it comes to the race, I'm okay with going human, but I would prefer something else for a change. Mechanically, if my character can become immortal by his own powers growing, then, sure, I'll go human, but otherwise, long-lived races are my priorities.

So, we end up with:
Lawful Evil
(some time in the future) immortal human or long-lived race thingy
Cleric of the Dark Tapestry and ???
who either makes things go away because they failed their saves,
or loves to summon demons and stuff because he's to lazy to do the work himself.

The numbers for my stats are as follows and they can be placed anywhere.
http://invisiblecastle.com/stats/view/34693/

STR: 14
DEX: 14
CON: 17
INT: 15
WIS: 17
CHA: 16

Again, they can be switched around to whatever needs being changed or whatever feels preferable for the above two builds.

Thank you in advance for your assistance, and anything falling under the "not-constructive-criticism" category will be ignored, although, any suggestions/ideas/productive-comments are welcome. :)

We've got a Fighter (Charger), Magus, Ranger (Ranged), and Ranger (Melee). That leaves Battle Control. Thanks for the guide links. I think I can figure my way from here. Thanks guys.

Have the Wizard cast Grease, Web, Create Pit, Fleshcurdle, Black Tentacles, etc. Anything that can suspend him or limit his movement is perfect. Also, if you can work spell dimensions in a unique way, you may be able to flank him. -2 to AC and they lose their dex. That's where summon monster comes in hand. :D

They can be placed wherever may wish to be placed.

Yeah, I know. It sucks, though, when 4 out of 5 people in the group fall because they don't know how to retreat or use basic battle tactics. Sure, we killed a werewolf, but that was after it killed half our group, and the dwarf had the brilliant idea of grappling it so I could kill them both with fireballs.

Negative Channeling sounds interesting. I can't go necro, though. DM's rules. And minimum healing.

~Before I say anything else, I am new to Pathfinder, but I've been playing D&D for some time now. I am familiar with how spells work, how combat works, dice rolling, sunder, trip, stun, wish spells (and why not to wish), etc.~

Here's the situation. I've played cleric in every MMORPG, RPG, board game, and RP forum. I like playing clerics because of what they can do. They can summon, buff, holy smite, debuff, and go in with a giant hammer of their deity that has a big "YOU JUST GOT PWNED!" decal on the side of it. I like knowing I'm needed. It's what I do for a living anyways (no, seriously, I work at a hospital.) Although, for the past five years that I've been playing with my friends, I've been relied on to heal them, and there's SO MUCH MORE TO A CLERIC THAN BEING A BAND-AID!

So, here is where I come to you guys. I need help building the most powerful none-healer cleric I possibly can, so that I can prove to my friends that we don't absolutely have to have a designated healer every time we go into battle. I have access to all books, except 3rd party script. My group worships Sarenrae, although, I don't have to stick to her if I don't want to (I don't want to. I hate worshiping deities. They pinhole me into things I don't want to do. My last cleric worshiped two gods and was stuck as an emissary between two faiths. Do you know how much that sucked? A lot.)

My roll for stats are as follows.

10
10
13
14
15
18

The character will be starting level 3.
The DM is fantastic at adjusting the game on the fly to make the game more fitting what the player wants. For example, my last character was an apprentice of smithing, so, the DM created an entire sub-quest to go along with what I wanted for my character. I gathered mithral, created weapons to defend against invading armies, so on and so forth. It was awesome.
The character can be any race as long as they can get along with humans.
The character has to be good aligned.
The group as of late hasn't been fighting purely one type of enemy. We've fought everything from trolls to undead, to spiders, to ankegs. It's been interesting to say the least.

Any ideas, tips, concepts, productive comments will be graciously received and welcomed. Thank you in advance.
