I thought if I posted in Gameplay and went to the master Gameplay thread, I could see it was hidden and tried to unhide it there, but no dice - it's still not showing up.

The game still won't show up in my campaign list. Also, when I make a post it doesn't show up in the list of campaigns with a recent post. I think it's still stuck as hidden. I'm investigating...

Poor Richard. Mera always thought he was a good sidekick, I hope it makes it. (Sherix can choke and die though, good riddance!) I do have some availability to play again if you'll have her back. I'm a bit lost on the story I'm afraid. With Richard still here, I assume he's still tackling bard and I'll keep her as rogue? What shall I do with Anvengen's Edge? I'm not sure anyone is eager to have that back in play again? :)

Hey gang! I'm struggling to juggle my workload of games these days. I simply have too much and not enough time. The pandemic shifted my lifestyle this year and with the kids at home all day every day with me, I just don't have the bandwidth I used to have to keep the balance. Checking in for games is becoming less fun and more work, so in order to keep my sanity I'm going to need to drop this game. I don't want to drop this game, as I've grown attached to Mera, but it's just too much weight for me to carry at this time. Maybe I'll come back again sometime if there's an opening, but for now I think I need to step away from some of my tables. I hope you understand, sorry if I'm letting you guys down. Best of luck in you future games and I hope to play with you all in a game one day again.
When things were at their darkest, Mera nearly began to panic as fear threatened to take her. Realizing she needed to do something and thus far she'd been completely inept, her hands began to tremble. You have nothing to fear while you wield me, woman. Let me show you how to fell this foe! Swing for center mass when I tell you- Mera swallowed her fear and tightened her grip while she waited for the call. Edge growled in her head, its bloodlust and anger raising the volume of its voice to new levels. She swung the glaive toward her foe at the exact time as instructed with everything she had.
Mera tries to end this thing, but it would appear that luck has currently left the building for the day. She swings her glaive too hard, almost throwing herself off balance and onto the floor in the process.
Even though strength isn't what she relies on, her weakened state prevents her from doing much of anything at all. She tries to get opposite of Tal and bound in and out, but she moves far to sluggishly in the process.
The creature nearly knocks the wind out of Mera, causing her to scream out in pain as all of her strength nearly leaves her body. Her pack suddenly becomes to burdensome and she slides it off her body before she would be taken to the ground with it. Focusing her foe, Mera tries to cut the shadow down, if such a thing is even possible. She whips and twirls her glaive into one, letting momentum carry the balde with as much force as possible.
Mera's keen eye is slightly more perceptive than Edric since he's too busy shooting occasional glances at her.
"Glady." Mera says, following along while twirling her glaive in her hands and whistling a soft tune to herself.
"We're here to send you onward." Mera adds in a completely unhelpful manner. "If blood must be spilled, let's be quick about it." "As you wish." Mera says, taking the opportunity to spill blood. "Music, if you please." she asks breathlessly as she slips the glaive into her hand and prepares to spring forward with it.
Mera leans into Edric's kiss, pressing her cheek into his lips with a smile as if the action tickled. She spins and presses her back to the cleric's chest to face Ricard and says "Yes. Well done Richard. That was an excellent use of that spell." We should have killed him and spilled his blood! the glaive screams at her. She doesn't respond verbally, but only smiles and bats her eyelashes and whispers to herself "In time."
Ignoring the unnecessary touching, Mera suppresses a grimace and instead offers a girlish giggle. She agrees with Richard, "This is a fantastic idea. Thank you for everything you've done for us, my friend." and places a quick peck on his cheek. She quickly makes an escape from him before she can be groped again. After he departs, she spits on the ground and wipes her mouth. "Disgusting. The things I do for you people."
"Ahh, I see. Thank you for that, it's incredibly useful." Mera says, with a beaming smile as she closes in to give their new friend a long hug to sell it. As she turns her back to him and walks back to her friends, she makes a disgusted look on her face and stick out her tongue to signal Yuck.
Mera obliges and moves forward to sign a card, All of my love, XOXO Mera Wist-Thrune. After handing the card back, she asks. "You seem so intimidately familiar with the locations around here. I'd hate to get lost, do you think perhaps that you draw me a map? If you could include and mark up the locations or potential areas I should avoid because they could be dangerous to me or contain traps, that also would be fantastic." Mera bats her eyes at The Dealer.
"Love, half the city knows my name. Are you a fan them, hmmm?" Mera says, nearly laughing at the prospect of knowing her name. She moves closer to the card-wielder and says "I can autograph something for you, if you like? Perhaps one of your cards there?"
Mera moves alongside of Edric to offer her assistance in picking the lock. She points out the type of pick she'd use and the specifics of turning it "Since you asked." she says, with a smile.
Mera grunts when the bolt strikes a glancing blow on her shoulder.
She springs forward to attack, attempting to return an injury to the adversary.
Blood! Make them all bleed! a voice in Mera's head screams. "Oh sweetheart, you shouldn't have." RealMera chastises FakeMera. Without looking back, she reaches over her shoulder and snaps her fingers twice at Richard and says "Dickie, inspire me." before lunging towards her adversary with her glaive in search of blood.
Mera's eyebrows also go up. "Mera? What a lovely name!" she can't resist saying. "We don't want you to get in trouble, but I'm afraid we're not going be running along. We'll ask nicely though, could you please let us through?"
Mera twirls her glaive around to clean the contents from it before turning back to greet her companions. "Well done all." she remarks before turning her palm upwards to signal moving on. "Shall we?"
It's true, something is different about Mera. The wit and beauty still exist, but there is now a semblance of training amidst the blood lust. Her training falters when she is injured however, her balance thrown off.
"Be useful and sing for us, hmmm?" Mera states rather than asks as she springs forward once more to bury her glaive into the lemure.
"BAH!" she screams, frustrated, swiping her glaive where it was only moments before. "How did we let it get away!" She relents and falls in line with the others, advancing.
Mera adds "Yes. Keep it's attention off me, if you please." before dashing in for another attack before hopping back out again.
Mera continues to dance move around quickly, springing into action to deliver another blow with her glaive.
Mera takes advantage of the fallen foe and leaps to the other side of Tal to try and whack it with her glaive.
"How the hell am I supposed to hit it if you are standing in the doorway blocking me from getting in there?" Mera protests loudly. Spill his blood and make him pay! Edge shouts in Mera's head. "No I'm not going to kill Tal because he's in my way." Mera says softly to herself, aloud. Instead, she roughly pushes past Tal and moves up to swing the glaive at the creature before falling back behind Tal's protective cover.
Twirling her glaive in her hand, she smirks "Oh, I hope that they do darling. I hope that they do." So do I. I want to slice their skin from their bodies and watch their life blood slide down my blade. Mera smiles at some unspoken comment, scoffing to herself.
I think I did it.
Finding success in her first attempt, she redoubles her efforts and throws her glaive into the lemure with everything she has. She scremas "YYYyyyaaaaAAA!" as she buries it into its back.
YYYYYYYeeesssss Anvengen's glees in her mind as blood splatters everywhere.
Mera pivots into flanking position with Tal and then swings Edge as she shouts to Richard "Yes, we kill it!".
Mera grunts in pain from the attack and then twirls her glaive menacingly and tries to instill some fear into these creatures before engaging.
Mera grins "Tal, so sweet. It's okay, you go first darling, I like the view from behind better." "Oh. And don't worry about Anvengen, I have complete control over it." she says confidently, twirling it in her hands. Oh you do, do you?
"What fun would that be, darling?" Mera says, twirling her glaive around as they walk. "It's not like we haven't nearly died trying to protect this town every single time we leave the hideout!" When Richard tells her to be on her best behavior, she winks at him "Always." "It's just another Firesday. Let's hop to it boys, stop dallying."
Mera lets the Lord-Mayor compliment her and continues to feign her admiration for him, "Oh, if I could only come with you. Alas, my work here is not done. Perhaps we will meet again soon and be able to spend some quality time together. For now, hurry along, we will seen this thing through." Once he's gone, she rolls her eyes and gags "Ugh. How I kept from slapping him is a testament to my will." Turning to Richard, she relays what he whispered to her. "He said to avoid the thieves and devils and make your way into the Nessian Spiral, find the key rod to shut down the Stygian Cooling Chambers, and then make our way to the Spiral’s center to banish or even destroy the pit fiend, certainly weakened by its long imprisonment as a fuel source, before he can regain his power and escape."
Mera stares at the name Anvengen on the contract, her mouth dropping open slightly. Could it be? She shakes her head and will think about it later. Mera smiles "Sure. The both of us. What's the worst that could happen? Our souls get bound to glutonous weapons for all eternity?" she laughs and twirls away and she ensures her name is on the contract.
"Don't be silly, Raveen." Mera says playfully, turning away from him. She slips an arm around the Lord-Mayor's shoulder and says "You shall sign it over to me, of course. Raveen doesn't understand the intricacies of such things as we privileged do. Sign it over to me and I shall see this done."
Tal doesn't like affection, he's training to be a monk.
"We know you love Westcrown, as do we. It sounds like terrible things are afoot here that need resolution." Mera had expected something twisted, but not this. She refrains from showing her surprise and simply nods along, letting the mayor finish and then Tal respond.
With a flourish, Mera strides forward. She offers her hand for a kiss and then turns to Richard, "Not at all. Richard Luggagesmith and Sherix Potcleaner, she empties my chamber pots you see." With two pats on Richard's shoulder she says "Now, be a dear and help with the luggage if you would?" She moves up to talk with the Lord-Mayor. "We are so blessed to see you here this day! What fortune has shined favorable upon us! Where are you headed, if I may ask?"
Mera shakes her head as they depart "It's no wonder the shadows run the city if we have men like that claiming to protect us. Come all, it's time we visited the gatehouse."
Mera thinks she is the secret weapon and does a flourish when Richard asks for the secret weapon. When she realizes it's what Edric has in his bag, she frowns and moves aside, pouting.
Mera says at Richard and Sherix's mediocre attempts. Adjusting her beautiful gold filigree coronet that makes her body voluptuous, she saunters forwards and places a hand on one of the guards "Hello, boys." before blowing them a kiss. "Tell us, what's going on here? Can we help?"
She turns back to Dickey and winks, one-upping him yet again. Turning back to the dottari, she wiggles her rear end for Richard.
Mera frowns when Sherix appears. "What a coincidence, we were hoping to run into you." she lies. She adjusts her crown when compliment, smiling. "Thank you. It really makes my breasts look bigger, don't you think?" she asks Richard, puffing her chest out a little bit in front of him. "I've been too busy for the theater, love. I have been focusing more on some defense training. Mayor?" Mera sighs, "I suppose we ought to go find that big lump of metal that we call Tal then." Turning back to Edric, Mera makes a pouty face "Next time, I suppose." |
