About Mephill
Appearance: Mephill stands tall and seems to shift constantly in subtle manners like the flickering of candle-light. A tiefling of impressive proportions tall and lithe with skin of darkened coal cracked with orange and eyes and hair of flame red that practically glows in itself. A matt black tail flicks in rapid succession. He seems well armoured and almost always carries a weapon, a traditional bone Klar stained blood red and with a serrated tongue blade adorns one arm. He speaks in a spitting rumble of snarls and growls that can disconcert many.
History: Born deep in Cheliax between a tiefling and a minor nobleman Mephill was lauded by his parents as a Cheliax scion of greatness with his appearance a clear sign of Asmodeous' favour. His strength and physical abilities afforded him training with various weapon masters but was left unifnished when the family fell on hard times. Political maneuvering and the influence of magic left his father penniless and his mother sold into slavery. Narrowly escaping the same fate he took up a mercenary job with a trader caravan spending many months on the trails to neighbouring regions in the wilderness studying natural predators and raiders where he developed a bloodthirsty reputation. His arrogance though made him dangerous and in overconfidence nearly succumbed to a wolf pack that besieged his caravan. The owner in unusual generosity paid to heal Mephill on a provision: That he travel to Absolom and join the Pathfinder Society. The man had seen the Society's influence growing and beleived that any advantages to Cheliax to be unearthed would first be known to them, and he had other agents similarly placed. He needed a strong loyal warrior in their ranks and also hoped the surrounidng people would temper him before he met an untimely end.
