It is a warm day in Autumn as the festival begins. People are gathered in the town square anxious to being the locally famous event. The crier announces the Mayor of Sandpoint to the makeshift stage in the center of town to start things off. A fairly young, yet capable woman climbs the stage and looks over the crowd. Welcome all to Sandpoint for our annual Swallowtail festival. Please enjoy the food provided by our local taverns and enjoy the many events we have planned this fine day.
