She then offers, "We will take the left flank with Athur and Cyril. Saronis praises you for your advancements."

You do feel the welling pressure of cosmic energy saying you are ready to level up but you do feel like you have wishes not used yet.

Maya and Thorgar nod, letting Saronis take point on this mission.

She offers, "We get paid either way.

The Death Dealers come in and sit as far from the orcs as possible.

She happily replies with, "Why yes. Yes I slept wonderfully, there was so much room. Thank you again. Let's head off!"

She gladly takes your generosity but that door remains closed. Though before the sun rises you hear her knocking and entering your room. Fully geared up and aids you if needed.

The three course meal includes an appetizer of crab puffs, main dish of two large slabs of fried cod, and for dessert a crumble coffee cake with choclate chips. The meal costs you five gold each but you are filled and likely enjoy every bite.

As you finish she merrily thanks Cyril, "Well thank you for the wonderful day, the sightseeing, and to top it off with such a wonderful meal! I did love that crumble!"

As your stomachs begin to settle she asks, "Any other plans for tonight, or shall we return to the ship. Or you could get us two adjoining rooms for the night. Oh how wonderful it will feel to get a proper bath and have plenty of room to sleep."

She quickly asks Cyril, "With your silver tongue why don't you find out where the best fish is made?"

With his charismatic ways soon enough you hear from the merchants that there are quite a few open fish frys about, though if you want to take on the prices of a nobleman then you should try out the White Swan or the Serpent House.

She playfully asks, "What else do you want to do, get dinner?!"

With a bit of warmth she agrees, "I shall be your arm candy then, as teammates of course."

As she walks with her arm around yours she points out different things that catches her eye, with excitement in her voice she blurts, "Oh look at that! Look at that Magical sign! They have a rooster statue on the top of their house. Ooohhh look at the towers of that building! I think it is a temple, we should go find out."

Eventually you walk by a magic item shop and she is amiable to go in with you.

She walks up to Cyril and puts a hand on his shoulder, "So are you taking Miss Ravenclaw around town or have you found other interested parties? I offer my services as a stealthy observer while you are in town."

Round 4

She quickly backs up behind Ed looking for any undead in the entry room, not seeing any, she states, "Get to the doors! We can funnel them to us."

Round 2

She rallies from the hit a good portion of it healing. Then her spear flashes out again opening a deep wound in the undead's body.

Round 3

She gets lower to the ground and begins to fight more defensively, she stabs and makes the creature bleed but is ready for the next strike.

Round 1

Maya moves forward to stand on a bench. Near the progress of the tunneling death knight. Her spear flashes out and removes the skull from the nearby ghoul.

The three of them see the gains of joining your group and select the 'Yes' option to join your group.

A blue screen appears before each of them and offers:
Joining the group you may gain two of the following abilities:
Fast healing equal to Cha mod
+2 Con
+2 Cha
wish 3/quest completed

Any other suggestions?

Thorgar and Maya select the fast healing and wishes. Saronis shakes his head and takes the Con bonus and wish ability.

A bit mockingly she states, "Okay boss... bosses?... No boss works better. Any changes to the plan? No, okay let's kill us a death knight!"

Not seeing anymore undead come from the ruins for several minutes she states, "I want the three of you back at the rope lines or following us at a distance. We are going to fight that death knight. Ed before we do that would you run over to the other side and see if you can see the Bright."

While Ed is gone a few more pop up for Cyril to destroy, a skeleton, then 2 zombies.

Thorgar and Maya continue to walk a perimeter around you, roughly 80 feet away, looking for more undead. Maya even yells out, "I got a lone skeleton over here, Cyril come safely and quick."

The Death Dealers work their ropes and make sure the pitons are secure before testing the rope. Thorgar pulls on each of them and nods approving of the work.

She tells the group the plan, "We only brought three lines. Now we have plenty of rope but we are going to minimize possible threat. Cyril you will go down with Saronis and Thorgar. Then Arthur, Ed, and I will come down." Looking at the dog she says, "We will make it work."

---

Once all is ready she quietly states, "Cyril and Arthur are on point. We are here to help if needed but the little guys are yours."

She points out, "We aren't so sure about the water. Sure we could swim but why get wet? Undead could be teaming below! We are going to set up ropes and repel down to the back of the temple."

She replies, "Leave them, they should be fine on their own."

She just walks over to Thorgar and waits as well.

She then adds in a simple voice, "We will head around the West side and likely repel down the cliffs."

She retorts coming from a shadowed hallway, "We could but having the ten of us would be nice even if we do split up. I am sure some of the crew can watch the bunker. I could go and ask."

☆☆☆
Maya goes up the rope ladder, you hear some undiciperable words, then she repels back down. "Yeah she will have a few crew members to watch the bunker while we are away. Shall we?" Her group takes point entering into the forest. They can easily keep ahead of the armored allies.

8d20 ⇒ (13, 6, 16, 1, 16, 8, 4, 1) = 65

The second hour of traveling a skirmish begins but before the Bright team can catch up the wolves are dealt with.

It happens again the fourth hour, the spiders are all dead by the time the other group reaches them.

Another half hour and you come to the edge of the lake. The Death Dealers wait for the others. Maya states, "Somehow the water appears to be pure water of some sort, though our skills are lacking to determine if there are other qualities."

Maya and the Death Dealers each take a rope and repel down to take point. As others descend see Maya waiting and holding other ropes.

He puts out her own suggestion, "Potions, max level 1st level potions. Five for each member, a bit of fluff to protect us would be nice. Especially if not coming out of our own wallets. So the guild pays for those to make sure we stay alive, is a good trade off."

She quickly replies as she gets comfy in one of the cushioned chairs, "Loosely is the best term to use for us as a group but some of us are more than others. So will there be more or should this be the party? Just so we are clear I am bisexuality, not looking for a partner anytime soon, Thorgar is abstaining from sex until his kill count is over a thousand, and... we'll... Saronis is... we don't usually use terms for him."

Her words turn slightly oily as she speaks of money, "Will we be speaking with Talia on a payment plan or will you be fronting the bill?"

After entering she gives the two men a smile, brusquely she states, "Well aren't you formal and all." Then her tone softens, "I suppose I am the new voice of our group. We recently lost our voice. Maya, Maya Delthur Spearbearer. Leader of the Death Dealers. We only have three members as of now. As I said one of us has fallen, and the other squad is away. Sure we can talk about our skills. I am a spearbearer, Thorgar works as a damage dealer and being a blood rager can rage the group. Saronis our present blademaster keeps the enemies tactically in check."

She then continues, "We are without arcane or divine support but we get by. Hopfully your bard, Arthur is it, can manage healing for us."
