Max accepts Eli's payment of jewelry.

"Captain Ronald's roof needs fixing? Sure, I'll go check it out later today. A small hole, you say? No problem."

When some of you go tell Max Gelthis that you're headed to Resplendent and ask if he has any contacts there, he responds ...

"Well, yes. My cousin Gerry lives in the Capital city. He's a writer: scribe, columnist, journalist. Gerald Gelthis. Works at the Dripping Quill Gazette. He'd be a good one to know what's going on around town. And, yes, I'd be happy to write a note recommending that he help you learn the ropes of the city. You saved Gina, after all. Max seems to want to disbelieve what he's hearing. He's probably not quite sure what to do next.

Max kneels to hold the incoherent girl while looking up at the lot of you, concerned and questioning.

Gina just keeps crying, finally letting it all out.

Bob leads Aeryth, Eli, and Sister Azmaria, along with Gina, towards her Uncle Max's carpentry shop.

When you arrive, you enter a gate, leading into a front yard filled with gazebos, benches, and other assorted examples of woodcraft. A bell on the gate rings, and a sweaty, muscular-yet-lean man emerges from the shop, wiping his hands on an apron.

"Welcome!

He smiles at the group of you, and his face lights up when he notices the girl with you.

"Gina? Well, this is a surprise!"

His eyes scan your group quickly, as if expecting to find someone else...
