Seeing a rat advancing toward him at speed, Matsudaira throws couple of kicks in its direction. Flurry attack 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Flurry attack 1 damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

I have the sunrod. How many creatures are there and how close are they to me? If within 5 feet:
Matsudaira launches a flurry of unarmed blows at the nearest creature. flurry attack 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
flurry attack 1 damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
If not withing 5 feet: Matsudaira moves toward the closest creature and launches an attack. attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

I do not have the appraise skill but would like to examine my find. What does it look like and is there anything out of teh ordinary about it. Perception check? Perception on Ring: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

Can I perhaps fumble around by the meager light of the sunrod to see what I can find? Going to make some rolls, use what you think is relevant. Probably perception I guess? Perception to find interesting things: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 With that roll I am guessing I find splinters and tetanus

Assuming the lead dog will be still on me. Rolling up damage, but it will be for after the dog has another go at me. Flurry attach 1 to hit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Flurry attach 1 damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Matsudaira looks up at Viviana. I am simply calming myself in preparation for the chaos which no doubt will come. Matsudaira springs lightly to his feet, glancing around the room looking for signs of danger.

While Alassa attempts to sense any magical fields in the area Matsudaira settles comfortable on the floor and meditates upon the events of the past few hours. I only wanted to show Thrune that the populous does not agree with what he is doing, and now I am here in a stable with this group of interesting people.

Matsudaira holds the sunrod, trying to cloak as much as its light as possible. He stands stoically waiting as Malph fiddles with the lock. Had to resist the urge to hold it aloft and scream "By the Power of Greyskull or something similar. Perhaps perform some sort of fire twirling. It has been a long morning at work. *edit to remove silly RP actions.

I have no money to go shopping with so I'll skip that. This lock looks fairly secure. Perhaps one of you has some experience with picking locks? I could knock it down, but that would not allow us to close and lock the door on our exit, and may be a little too obvious a sign to those looking to track us.

I personally don't mind. I am a monk and not looking to amass a vast hoard of loot worthy of a dragon. I cannot use armour without a penalty and my unarmed strikes do the same amount of damage as a monk weapon does for flurry. The gold will go towards a neck piece or something if and when I get the chance. I cannot speak for other though.

I know the stables from my childhood. I used to take things there sometimes for my parents. I even remember rumours of them being haunted. Content to follow Rexus, at least for now, Matsudaira waits for them others to be ready to go.

Martial artist archetype can be any alignment, but I don't get ki. The archetype is from Ultimate Combat. More than happy though to re-slot myself into another alignment if you feel that I should. This is my first RPG game so more than willing to take advice.

Alassa, I am new to this so any help you could give would be much appreciated. Do you have a source for that list or anything else around it? Matsudaira is also Chaotic Good. I have been trying to play him as a mix of Mr Miyagi and Sir Samuel Vimes from Nightwatch (a book by Terry Pratchett). I think I have stayed within those commandments, but if there is a bigger article or something that could give me more information on playing this alignment it would be great.

I don't want any part of killing anyone who cannot fight back. Self defence is one thing, but cold blooded murder is another. I would like to tie up at least one of them. We can interrogate them perhaps. I would council you to stay your hands. These men are incapacitated and cannot defend themselves. Perhaps more could be gained by questioning them. It may even be fruitful to search them while they are incapable of resisting. We could leave them bound and naked if you feel that some punishment is in order. As he speaks Matsudaira looks at the victim and checks on his condition. Do you want some sort of roll?

Matsudaira move up to Thug 2. He launches a kick aimed at the thugs body (unarmed strike). attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23 confirm crit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17 attack damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 that is 8 damage if the crit confirms

Can I delay please. Thugs 2 and 3 are the immediate threats and so I want to attack them, but unconcious thugs are in the way. I assume I can't clamber over them or occupy their space, so I'll hold off since they can't melee me either. When they move I will act.

Allivar Cinis wrote: I'll post as soon as I get a chance. Btw, noob forum question: Is the roll command actually a macro that rolls for you, or do you have to type the whole thing out after rolling independently? Use square not round brackets but like this (dice=TEXT) 1d20+5 (/dice) example TEXT: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 On a side note, where was that roll when I was rolling to hit?

Matsudaira sees that these thugs are about to strike a defenseless individual and springs into action. He launches a flurry of unarmed blows at one of the attackers pick one Flurry of blows attack one: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Putting damage rolls here incase I hit Flurry of blows attack one damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
