"Oh...hello," Jessa starts, "Is Master Gandethus here by any chance?"
"I am he."

When the old man affirms his identity, Jessa smiles as warmly as possible, hoping to charm him with her sheer friendliness and enthusiasm. "I'm Jessa...um, Jeslara Eventide...of Magnimar," she explains.
Jessa notes the man's eyes drifting past her smile and upwards to take in the large frame of the barbarian standing behind her, "And this is Mitnal of the Shriikirri-Quah," she offers. Blackwing punctuates her words with his own squawk to vouch for the man.
"Kinmorn Erastilson suggested I speak with you," Jessa continues, "He said you were one of the few wizards living here in Sandpoint, and someone he respected in matters of history, legends, and ancient lore. I've studied similar subjects, including spellcraft, and had hoped to make your acquaintance."
"I'm particularly interested in studying the ancient monuments and artifacts of Thassilon. And I'm hoping to document them for a future book. Perhaps we could share information from time to time? Or assist one another? If there's something I can do for your school or any small project of your own, I'd be very pleased to help. And if you know of any individuals who could aid my research, I'd forever be in your debt..."
"Ah, young Wesh. One of my best pupils, even if he never did show much aptitude at wizardry. Please, both of you, come in and make yourselves at home. He leads you both to a large service kitchen. "Perhaps not the most common quarters for entertaining, but it will mostly keep you from being pestered by the children. They know not to come in here, and most of them abide by that."
"Monuments of Thassilon, you say? Well, I do indeed possess a small repository of knowledge and artifacts that I have amassed over the years. You're welcome to peruse it, if you like. And I'm more than happy share information, and both give and receive assistance. It's quite a lovely offer you make, and one I promise not to take undue advantage of. But I think my friend Brodert Quink might be able to help you find Thassilonian monuments to explore, if that's what you seek. Exploration and adventure are pursuits of the young, after all, and you look so very young.
"Oh! Where are my manners? I meant that only in the most complimentary of ways, of course. Please forgive me.
"Anyway, you won't have to go far to start looking. You can start right here in town, though I'm sure what little there is to know about it has already been documented to whatever extent is meaningful." He gestures to the northwest. "That spire of rock looming over the town. That's Thassilonian. The Old Light, folks call it. It does look a little like a lighthouse, especially in the setting sun. Not that I know what it was really for. Neither does Quink, I think, though he's spent a good number of years studying it. Lives at it base. Goes to poke at it, and stare at it, and generally force it to give up its secrets most days. Compelling it with the undeniable force of his personality, I suppose.
"You can usually find him right next door, at the Curious Goblin. He'll be there later this evening, for sure. We have weekly game of kings and castles tonight, and I've beaten him the last six weeks running. He's steamed and itching for revenge."
