I think having a formerly-incorporeal undead creature strangled in messed-up cosmic abomination vines that are both tying it to this world metaphorically and in the sense that they're literally forced into tangibility is an interesting idea. Like, technically it's against the rules of how undead stuff works, but letting the Colour break some rules feels appropriate to it's whole thing.

I like that idea! I was thinking about how ghosts are defeated, and rules as written ghosts can only be permanently banished when they don't have a reason to stick around. The color making the ghost corporal is an interesting idea!

I feel I should mention that I did make one change to how the color works. Basically, I made it so that its influence causes mutations, as well as the colorblighted graft. For example, the moonflower no longer makes more moonflowers, and instead makes "Vine Blighted" creatures. (Just add plant properties to creatures in addition to the colorblighted graft). Also, the specific incorporeal undead that I'm using is the ghost from the Alien Archive 2, pg 58.

Howdy all!

So, I've been working on a homebrew campaign for Starfinder and have hit a bit of a bump. I was wondering how a Color out of Space might affect/interact with incorporeal undead. I want to do more than just apply the colorblighted graft to it, but am unsure exactly how I should proceed. Does anyone have any ideas?
