Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

I am guessing that this season will have at least one scenario with each of these characters. The question I have is whether or not paizo will give us hints as to which scenarios have which aspis agent.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Nice. Love the item choices.

You may want to check where you got the pathfinder #s from. Mine has a number that is probably from a different table of yours.

Thanks again Kludde. It was a lot of fun and I leveled my witch to 7.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Thanks for the great game Kludde. This was a blast. You had me worried in the last encounter, slow plus mirror image is a nasty defensive combo.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

"About time. One more nasty spell and we would have had issues."

My next few rounds unless something changes.
Marnarius then draws and chugs a potion of cure moderate wounds.
CMW: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (7, 8) + 3 = 18
Feeling slightly better he draws the second and chugs that as well.
CMW: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (3, 4) + 3 = 10

Marnarius looks around the room. "Let's grab what needs grabbin and get out while we can."
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Reflex save vs fire snake: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22 perfect!

Marnarius is able to dip to his right, getting singed, but avoiding being entwined in fire.

Can I reach Zey with my longsword if I am standing on the ground?

If I can reach:
Marnarius takes a 5 foot step forward while drawing his longsword. He tries to pickout the real Zey from his doubles, but it is difficult, so he just picks one and takes a stab.No idea how many images there are currently, so I will let you roll that.

Attack - +2 Weapon, Power attack, Studies Target, Slowed: 1d20 + 14 - 2 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (9) + 14 - 2 + 4 - 1 = 24
Damage - +2 Vicious Longsword, 2-Handed, Power Attack, Studied Target: 1d8 + 9 + 6 + 4 + 2d6 ⇒ (1) + 9 + 6 + 4 + (6, 5) = 31
Vicious inflicted damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4

If Zey takes damage he must save vs poison. Fort DC 20.
Deathblade Poison (Ex) Save Fortitude DC 20, Frequency 1/round for
6 rounds, Effect 1d3 Con damage; Cure 2 consecutive saves

If I can not reach with melee:
Marnarius, not able to reach Zey , draws his adamantine arrow and takes aim. He closes his eyes, hoping to minimize the confusion, and lets fly. You can roll for the 50% miss chance

Attack - Precise Shot, Studies Target, Slowed: 1d20 + 10 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 10 + 4 - 1 = 25
Damage - Adamantine, Point Blank Shot, Studied Target: 1d8 + 5 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 + 4 = 14

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Just got home from a weekend trip. I will post soon.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Marnarius delays his action until Shohiraj finishes disabling the trap. He then slowly hustles 15ft into the room before saying "Get him grounded if you can"

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Shohiraj: Completely agree with you. I don't think I would have done it differently. I was more just contemplating how this encounter was set up for the GM. There are plenty of other things going on that could have tipped Zey into pre-combat prep. We did set free a bunch of animals, burn buildings down, release an army into the frey, and create a walking killing statue.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

I agree with everyone choice for Joliryn. Moving into combat and delivering a shocking grasp through a spell strike would be better but as everyone can attest, SLOW SUCKS.

As a side note, Zey had a ridiculous amount of time to pre-buff. So far I got improved Invis, See Invis, and Stone Skin. I bet there are others too. I wonder if we should have just kicked in the door rather than mess around with plans and disguises right outside....hindsight sucks.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

322: Unfortunately I already have a cloak of Res +2 so I get nothing out of that particular part of PfG. However, the AC bump is nice.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Reflex for Half: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 Well at least I got that going for me.

Seeing the lightning bolt bounce back and forth between his mates, Marnarius is able to partially get out of it's way (21 electricity damage).

How high up is Zey flying?

Marnarius, not having much else he can do, grits his teeth in pain and seething anger, and fires another a arrow.

Attack - Mwk Comp longbow, Precise Shot, Studied Target, Slowed: 1d20 + 10 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (8) + 10 + 4 - 1 = 21
Damage - Mwk Comp Longbow, Point Blank Shot, Studied Target, Cold-Iron: 1d8 + 5 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 1 + 4 = 17

Kludde:
I screwed up on my damage last round. I forgot to add in point blank shot and the studied target should have been 4 instead of 2 since Zey is human. I fixed it for this attack but if your feeling generous, could you add the extra 3 damage to Zey?

OK all. We need at least a little strategy if we are gonna survive this shindig. The combo of slow plus the trap has killed our momentum and made us sitting ducks for crazy ass damage spells like chain lightning.

How about we grapple him?

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Kludde: If Gazwyr did get invisibility cast on him from Joliryn before we opened the door, then Zey couldn't target him with slow...unless he has other abilities up his sleeve.

Joliryn: If you know Zey's general location can you hit him with a glitterdust?

If Jolyrin glitterdusts Zey:

A glittery shape appears, floating within the room. Marnarius notches his poison arrow, quickly studies the enemy (swift action), and looses the arrow.

Attack - Precise Shot, Studied Target, Slowed: 1d20 + 10 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 10 + 2 - 1 = 27
Damage - Point Blank Shot, Studied Target: 1d8 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 2 = 12
If Zey fails the save vs Glitterdust, here is the sneak attack damage.
Sneak Attack Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 6) = 7
Total Damage: 12 + 7 = 19

If Zey takes damage he must make a DC20 Fortitude check or be poisoned.
Deathblade Poison (Ex) Save Fortitude DC 20, Frequency 1/round for 6 rounds, Effect 1d3 Con damage; Cure 2 consecutive saves

Con Damage - Rnd 1: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Con Damage - Rnd 2: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Con Damage - Rnd 3: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Con Damage - Rnd 4: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Con Damage - Rnd 5: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Con Damage - Rnd 6: 1d3 ⇒ 1

If Zey stays invisible:

Marnarius judges his reaction time and the jump needed to clear the trap at the door. Kludde: Can I cut the corner and jump to the square marked. Thus decreasing the jump DC from DC20 to DC10 and allowing me to do it with my meager 15ft movement.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Re-rolling will save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Son of a......I hate slow @ high levels. I guess that is why I always have it prepared on my wizards.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

I think Jooker's original character had haste. That is why I am asking if I can shirt re-roll that save.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Will Save to not die be slowed: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Marnarius feels the hairs on his skin stand up as his reactions slow down to a crawl. Blasted invisible wizards and their spells. At least I am not dead.

Is Aram Zey still invisible?

Seeing that there may be a few things that need to be sorted out before Marnarius can stab Zey, he applies the last dose of poison to an cold-iron arrow (move action).

Perception check in response to Aram making noise and being sneaky: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16 Meh

Kludde:
Can we take shirt re-rolls go in PbP? I got 4 Powerful Purple Paizo shirts hanging in my closet. That may get me out of being slowed.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Ok...I know we are all twiddling our thumbs while we wait for Kludde to tell us all to make will saves or die. However,, are we all really going to wait 5 rounds for Shohiraj to disable that trap? If I am not dead on my turn I am going to chug my invisibility potion in rnd 1 and jump that trap in rnd 2. It's a DC 10 with a running start or DC 20 from a stand still.

"Just jump it." Marnarius suggests.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Those with magically inclined characters should do some useful in game thinking.

Either Aram Zey is real and toasts us on his turn or he is an illusion of some sort. Considering the note we recovered early on, I would bank on illusion. However, if he is an illusion, he is an illusion with an up to date, non programmed response. He mentioned the disguises. My guess is we are looking at a major image spell since it talked in understandable words. Thus, a non-programmed illusion of Aram Zey means that Aram Zey IS IN THE ROOM since the spell requires line of sight.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

I sure hope you guys can pull of the bluff or that he is an illusion. Otherwise this looks painful.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

LOL. Well apparently I was confused about what was the library and what was the office.

"Hmm. Apparently the library is his office." Marnarius says to the group after hearing Aram shout.

Good luck all! Remember he has a scroll of some powerful illusion near his desk.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Well, if we are prepping for battle....

Marnarius preps a little more for battle by swiftly applying his first dose of poison to Vengeance and re-sheathing it. A small giggle escapes his mouth. He then double checks the location of his potion of invisibility and tanglefoot bags.

"However we do this, we should do it now. I am ready." Marnarius replies. Drawing his first arrow in preparation for shooting any threat we may not have seen through the mail slot.

If allowed, I am readying an attack for the surprise round.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

"On second thought" Marnarius whispers. "The thing in the glass cage may be the sky key. I say we take care of Aram first and then we can grab it on the way out."

Thinking back to the info that was gathered earlier today, Marnarius continues "How are we gonna get into Aram's office? The info we got said it would be trapped. Maybe Zurnzal knocks and pretends to be the priest to get Aram to disarm the spells?"

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Did we get the piece of paper or did it fall into the room?

"No clue what that thing is. Though you describe it as being behind a velvet rope, so lets not fiddle with the damn thing when we get in there. I don't wanna get blown up before we get to the good stuff."

Since Marnarius has no more to bring to the table, he unslings his bow and notches an arrow. Ready to shoot anything that posses a threat.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Hearing Shohiraj asking for advice, Marnarius whispers back "Can you look through the mail slot and see anything?"

Marnarius then attempts to hear anything beyond the obvious buzzing
Perception - Listen beyond door: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

I am fine with Jooker getting to play the dragon. That 19 is a good roll and I am really enjoying RPing of The Vengeance. Maybe give the others till this afternoon to respond? I would like to see anyone who wants get a chance but I don't want the thread to stall out.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

I will throw in for the dragon

Need a 19-20 to play a dragon: 1d20 ⇒ 7

"Stabbing Aram in the back sounds like a job worthy of my blade. Besides commanding armies is a little beyond my skill set."

Marnarius waits for the others to decide who has the right skills to replace Gazwyr's role.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Grumbling under his breath he says "No bodies is right. Should have kept my big mouth shut and just stabbed that amateur of a pathfinder in the face. Oh well, the way it went is probably better, who knows how many pathfinders the sound of that musket would have brought in." Letting that thought go he moves on to more important things.

"Wolona!" Marnarius cries out while moving nearer . "I told you I would be back for you and the others." Clasping Wolona's hand and embracing his second in command, Marnarius introduces the rest of the team.
Following short introductions, Marnarius says "Rataji, it's time to earn the pay that comes with that silver badge of yours and settle our guests fears.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Marnarius tips his hat, taking the few seconds to study the person at the door and the woman holding the rifle, before adding "Yeah. Things got a little odd out there. A bunch of animals from the cages were running around. I could swear that I saw that sphinx at one point. Aram said it was probably just the caretakers being careless and taking time to watch the speech rather than care for the cages. But," Marnarius shrugs, "better safe than sorry. So here we are."

Bluff to aid another - Studied Target: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 8 + 2 = 14 Glad I didn't start the bluffing. My stretch of good roles has died.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Marnarius, wondering what 322 is listening to, focuses on hearing through the door.

Perception - listen: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28

Hearing the initial conversation, Marnarius wispers very softly "Bluff or kill?"

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Marnarius tosses the notes to one of the magic users. "Figure this out. It's all gibberish to me."

He then goes and collects his durable adamantine arrow from the lizards corpse and his mwk comp longbow from the floor.

Before taking a position by the door, Marnarius asks Anyone need a sword? I got an extra now."

When everyone is ready to move out, Marnarius once again uses his stealthing skills to sneak past any guards on his way to the Hao Jin tapestry.

Stealth: 1d20 + 12 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 12 + 2 + 2 = 28

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Marnarius continues to search, with 322 attempting to help but mainly pointing at random dark and sullen objects that are obviously not notes.

Perception take 2: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
Perception take 3: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
Perception take 4: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30

That should be enough. Obviously I stop the second someone else finds the damn notes.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Marnarius, after pausing for a second, grabs the heavy flail as well. He then shrugs and says aloud "Reminds me of something I told a sphynx earlier today."

It may be mundane but it is a second form of melee damage and has some souvenir value.

Marnarius then looks to the others and says "Let's find that info so we can get out of here. We got people to free and people to stab."

Perception to find the notes: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Marnarius steps up to the display case and looks at the three weapons as he begins to smile. He reaches out to grab what is rightfully his but pauses. Traps, traps, traps.

Perception for traps: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18

If I detect a trap:
Marnarius withdraws his hands from the case slowly and motions to Shohiraj. "Mind giving me a hand with this trap?

Once Shohiraj has handled the trap, Marnarius proceeds to reclaim what is rightfully his.

Satisfied that the pathfinders have no more deterrents between him and his weapon, Marnarius reaches out and collects the longsword.

Looking to his previous weapon he says "You've done well as a stand in but it's time." Marnarius straps Vengeance to his waist.

Before stepping back, Marnarius ponders the other weapons. He rolls his eyes at the scythe Just because you kill people doesn't mean you gotta walk around looking like death. Marnarius then shifts his eyes to the heavy flail. Now that could be useful in a pinch. Maybe this whole damn place is full of stone lizards.

Kludde:
Is it going off the rails to take a second weapon as a backup? I am assuming that the scenario wants me to take 1 and doesn't want me to have them all. However, a bludgeoning weapon as a backup may be useful.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

There you go

If Shohiraj moves up to flank:
Marnarius opens up with a full attack, hoping to finish off the last lizard.

Attack - 1st attack, Studied Target, Power Attack, Flank: 1d20 + 13 + 2 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 13 + 2 - 2 + 2 = 23
Damage - 1st Attack, Two-Handed, Studied Target, Power Attack, Sneak Attack: 1d8 + 8 + 2 + 6 + 2d6 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 2 + 6 + (6, 2) = 32

Attack - 2nd attack, Studied Target, Power Attack, Flank: 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 8 + 2 - 2 + 2 = 24
Damage - 1st Attack, Two-Handed, Studied Target, Power Attack, Sneak Attack: 1d8 + 8 + 2 + 6 + 2d6 ⇒ (3) + 8 + 2 + 6 + (1, 5) = 25

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Vasari: Since you only have 1 attack, can you move into flanking. This would give us both our full number of sneak attacks.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Marnarius, seeing the space within the main isle full, moves along the outer edge to flank the healthier lizard (Double Move - 60ft). As he moves into melee, Marnarius studies the lizard (Swift Action - Studied Target Yellow Lizard). As he moves into melee, Marnarius slows his pace slightly and focuses on not drawing an attack from the lizard.

Acrobatics to avoid AoO: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Marnarius anger relaxes "That's more like it." Focusing deeper into the vault he says to the group "Two down, two to go."

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Edges of panic fill Marnarius's face as the two chameleons surround him and his melee partner retreats. Anger soon replaces the panic as Marnarius grabs his sword in both hands and belts out "Why won't" taking his first swing with his sword "you die" followed by his second swing (full attack - yellow chameleon).

Attack - 1st Attack, Studied Target, Power Attack: 1d20 + 13 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 13 + 2 - 2 = 25
Damage - 1st Attack, Studied Target, Two-handed, Power Attack: 1d8 + 8 + 2 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 8 + 2 + 6 = 20

Attack - 2nd Attack, Studied Target, Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 8 + 2 - 2 = 19
Damage - 2nd Attack, Studied Target, Two-handed, Power Attack: 1d8 + 8 + 2 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 2 + 6 = 24

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Marnarius looks to the chameleon to his left as it comes out from hiding, spitting out "Clever" before being rapped in a large tongue.

Dropping his longbow (free action) and quick drawing his +1 longsword (free action), Marnarius quickly studies the chameleon (swift action - Yellow Chameleon) before unleashing two swipes with his longsword at the base of the chameleon's tongue (Full attack - Yellow Chameleon).

Attack - 1st Attack, Studied Target, Power Attack, Grappled: 1d20 + 13 + 2 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 13 + 2 - 2 - 2 = 14
Damage - 1st Attack, Studied Target, Power Attack: 1d8 + 6 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 2 + 4 = 19

Attack - 2nd Attack, Studied Target, Power Attack, Grappled: 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 8 + 2 - 2 - 2 = 15
Damage - 2nd Attack, Studied Target, Power Attack: 1d8 + 6 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 2 + 4 = 19

OK....two PANICKED swings of my sword. Hopefully the debilitating injury gives me something out of those poor rolls.

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Kludde: Am I grappled?

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

"Walkin, talkin, stone lizards. Wonderful." Marnarius looks to 322 "We can talk about my glorious weapon another time."

Marnarius advances into the room (move action - 15ft), choosing to saddle up next to a bookshelf for cover.
I am assuming that from this position the Blue lizard does NOT have cover. Red line drawn on map indicating the cover percentage.
While on the move, Marnarius quick draws his mwk comp longbow and notches his sole durable adamantine arrow Should have bought more of these.
He takes a second to study his target (swift action - Blue) and steady his aim before loosing an arrow at the stone lizard to his right (Blue).

Attack - Studied Target: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 10 + 2 = 32
Damage - Mwk Comp Longbow, Durable Adamantine Arrow, Studied Target, Sneak Attack: 1d8 + 5 + 2 + 2d6 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 2 + (6, 4) = 23

Oh that poor lizard. Two 20's is a great way to start first true combat.

Confirm Critical: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 10 + 2 = 23
Extra Crit Damage: 2d8 + 10 + 4 ⇒ (6, 4) + 10 + 4 = 24
Total Damage If Crit Confirms: 23 + 24 = 47

Male Human Slayer 7 | HP 52/67 | AC 20, T 14, FF 18, CMD 24 | F +9, R +9, W +7 | Init +2, Perc +11 |

Marnarius whispers back to 322 "I kind of got that. Completely ignored my story didn't you? That's OK." Marnarius then gives 322 a quick description. "Let me know if you see it."

I have NO idea what the weapon is. I just know that it's supposed to be here. It will be interesting to see how the scenario and Kludde lead me to it.

To everyone, Marnarius whispers "Anyone see anything suspicious before we move in further?"

Seeing the ease at which Shohiraj worked regarding the traps and door, Marnarius confidently moves up behind her.

"That ain't the only thing worth taking in here." He mentions.

Taking his time, Marnarius scans the vault from the door, looking for threats and any tracks or footprints that may have been left in the dust on the floor. He also has his eye out for the precious weapon that the pathfinders stole from him years ago.

Upon seeing the door to the "vault," Marnarius breaks into a whispered tirade."Presumptuous of them to hang a sign. Dear thieves, all our cool stuff is behind this door. Please feel free to take what you wish. Hah. The traps on that door are probably trapped."

Seeing Shohiraj making her way to the door with a set of keys, Marnarius says,"Well I was gonna say we could play a quick game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock to settle who is the first to loose a finger. However....ladies first by all means."

Looking to 322, Marnarius shrugs and replies "Just gesture loudly, things should work out."

Marnarius looks from one member to the next, making sure everyone is here.
Rataji, 322, Joliryn, Shohiraj. Where is Zurnzal?
Marnarius takes another look and notices a pale cleric of some sort standing too close for comfort. Taking a second to further study this infiltrator A spy?

Perception vs Disguise DC 23: 1d20 + 2 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 2 + 11 = 23 Tusks?? Light green skin under the pale. Ahh. Zurnzal in a disguise of some sort.

"Since we are all here." Marnarius pauses, making sure that the other members notice that he is including the cleric. "322 is right. The vault should be our first target. When the time is right and the chaos begins, lets each make our way inside."

When the time is right, Marnarius makes his move. Using the large crowds and any cover or concealment he can scrounge up, he stealths inside. On occasion, Marnarius pauses as a guard passes. Marnarius uses the information from the note Joliryn collected and his own ability to study individuals to his full advantage.

Kludde and 322:
Tom may have other things to try as 322 while I am telling the story. However, I don't have anything else. So I am done when he is done.

After finishing his story, Marnarius takes a quick bow and blends back into the crowd. While a good distraction required him being the center of attention, he doesn't want that attention to linger beyond the moment and interfere with their mission. Once he is again just a member in the throng of pathfinders, Marnarius attempts to reconnect with 322, hoping that she got what she needed out of the distraction.

Kludde:
Kludde, just so I am clear, the story I tell as a distraction is told as a pathfinder and references myself and my old teammates as pathfinders. No hints or references to anything that would be deemed "evil" or Aspis / consortium.

I am really enjoying everyones RPing so far. This is going to be a blast as we delve deeper.

Kludde and 322:
Seconds after hearing a Pathfinder, standing next to the statue, call out to 322, Marnarius sees 322 motion to him.
I can't read minds girl.

Marnarius studies 322 for a second, thinking about what she could be wanting.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 11 + 2 = 27

Well, considering your crouching in the shadow of that big damn statue, lets assume your trying to hide. Now that Pathfinder 5 feet to your right didn't seem to think you did a good job. Lucky he damn well thought you were lost! So now you want my help. Maybe a distraction?

When there is a break between stories, Marnarius takes a deep breath Here goes nothin! and takes a step forward, pushing through the crowded circle to stand in the middle.

"Fellow Pathfinders!" Marnarius bellows. "Let me tell you a grand and glorious story of the time from the days of past, when we pathfinders were not the only ones exploring the mysteries of the Hao Jin Tapestry." He pauses making sure that he has the crowds attention.

Marnarius then goes on to tell the tail of one of his greatest acquisitions from the tapestry, a weapon of great beauty and power. The story is mostly truthful, though at times Marnarius substitutes in pieces on artful negotiation for the cold murdersome truth.

Marnarius then ends his story. "To my knowledge, that beautiful weapon is still here, in the vaults. One day, I will earn the right to wield her."

Bluff for a grand distraction: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

Let them chew on that story in a few days when they learn that that very weapon was one of the few things liberated from their vault of conquest.

Kludde:
Marnarius and 322 separate as they leave the menagerie and walk towards the statue.

Not having anything specific to do this hour, Marnarius grabs a kabob of some kind of meat from a near by food stall and meanders towards the statue himself. Staying to the edge of the crowd, Marnarius casually scans his surroundings, looking for any changes in the disposition of the Pathfinders that may hint at their cover being blown and listening for any tidbits of info that may be useful.

Perception T10: 10 + 11 = 21

Among the crowd Marnarius notices 322 looking at the statue. I wonder what she's up to? Better hang out it the background just in case.

round 1:
Marnarius looks back to the sphinx. "You just keep this crowd calm for about an hour. That would be the most opportune time from my position for you to break free and cause havoc. However, no one should be caged forever, so if the guards catch on break out. An early distraction is probably better than none at all." Marnarius pauses, thinking back to the riddle. "Let your lion rule this day. Vengeance is sweet."

With that, Marnarius motions to 322, and departs before the guards focus shifts from the animals.

Once out of the zoo. Marnarius pauses, asking 322 "So do you want backup for your side mission? If not I can always mix in and try to catch some rumors. These young Pathfinders sure do love to talk and brag."
