Spoiler:

And we still have no idea what Christopher's plan was. He made it clear to his son that he wasn't going to their home-world, but some other planet entirely for some reason that wasn't made clear. Perhaps the ship that came to Earth was only one of two (or more) ships fleeing their home-world, and he's headed to one of the other colonies, in the hopes that they've been spectacularly more successful in the last 20 years and can help him rescue the prawn refugees on Earth?

Unless there is another point where Christopher tells his son that they won't be going to their home world, I think that the new home Christopher is referring to is actually the new camp the Prawns are being moved to. He even points out the row of tents in the pamphlet and tells his son this one of those tents could be their new home. He'd finally resigned himself to losing the fuel forever and not being able to leave Earth like he'd planned.

There may be another point in the movie where they have a discussion about where they were going, but that's the only one that I could remember when reading your comments. I've definitely missed some things that posts here have cleared up for me though, so maybe this is just something else.

I realize it's not an option for everyone and it does actually cost a little more, but when you switch to UPS the packaging is different and it's better.

I used to have my subscription delivered via USPS and it came in those envelopes. During the CotCT series virtually every shipment had bent edges and/or creased spines. After I'd seen enough of this I switched to UPS, thinking that maybe it was the careless handling of the postal service that ensured every envelope got folded in some way. Maybe it was, but the packing makes an even bigger difference. The UPS shipments come in the same folders except they're placed inside a UPS mailer box. Sure, they can move around a little inside the box and you can get some minor corner damage possibly (although I never have), but the box is very sturdy and it doesn't get crushed. Since I made the switch I've been really happy with the condition of the shipments.

It costs more, but it might be worth it to those subscribers that can use it.

I came to the site this morning and was happy to see all but one item in my huge and exciting August shipment available for download, so I hopped on over to take a look at the order contents to see why that one item (Pathfinder #13) was missing. When I got there, though, I saw a message that my credit card had been declined, so I clicked the link to enter a new one.

I thought maybe I had not updated the expiration date, but when I saw that I had, I just resubmitted with the same card, then immediately called my bank to see what was going on. They told me that in fact nothing was declined and that I now had TWO charges for the amount of order 987354, which is $91.20.

Can I please get one of those charges credited back to me? Maybe this was just the charge to make sure I could cover the shipment and it will already be automatically credited, but the bank customer service person said it just looked like two identical charges, the latest being applied today (08/01/08). In any case, there was no indication that any charge had been declined, so I am still puzzled as to why I saw that message this morning in the order interface.

Thanks in advance for your help!
