We're exploring a few options, but don't currently have one solution that we've landed on, nor any specific plans to announce. But getting the backlist into print in some form is one of my highest priorities for the line beyond keeping new material coming out on time at the highest levels of quality we can manage (and making them profitable, of course).
DrakeRoberts wrote: Weren’t the last two of the original Pathfinder Tales unavailable in audio? I’d love to get them available so that I could complete my collection. Correct. At the time those books came out, MacMillan Audio had the rights to make an audiobook version, and they opted not to. We currently have no plans to produce new recordings of pur backlist, but if we see significant enough sales of the titles that do have audiobooks, that could change.
There are also instances in which something sells out so fast on its initial print run that a second printing is ordered before the designers have had the time to compile errors, determine solutions, implement those in the document and track them independently for changelogs and errata postings, and run the whole thing through editing and approvals. The errata and book revision processes run independently from supply chain and operations, and sometimes it's more important to maintain stock on a title than ensure every errata makes it into the next printing. In many of these cases, if the print files didn't change, we don't denote it as a second printing to prevent confusion, even though it technically came in a second run of the original files. In this case, however, if you ordered a copy of Pathfinder Player Core today, it would be a first printing, so the only errata that exists for it is a separate document. When the second printing replaces the first in the supply chain is when we'd update the PDF.
Hey Imp3.dev, Sorry to hear you're frustrated with the digital maps. All of those products should have JPG versions available as part of the download. As AFigureofBlue suggested, we did start adding JPGs to these products in late 2020 as a way of supporting remote play better. Our intent was to add JPGs retroactively to all digital map products, and when creating the product listings for the Humble Bundle, I erroneously assumed that had happened. So the miscommunication on the Humble Bundle is on me. Sorry for that! On the plus side, it shouldn't be too hard to to get the JPGs for these products added to the download assets so that everyone who got them as part of the Humble Bundle gets what was promised. We're working on that now, and you should get an email letting you know when the packages are updated on the site. Sorry again for the confusion and frustration, and thanks for your patience.

We'll work with Humble to make sure they're correctly pointing everyone there.

I typically didn't ask for pdfs with watermarks, I usually just asked the person to show their Paizo digital downloads on their phone to show they owned a pdf. Would we be able to use this API to get ownership verification without the player logging into their account? The Paizo Connect API looks to see whether a particular title is in your Digital Library, so the removal of watermarking shouldn't affect it at all. If you notice any errors on a partner site linked to paizo.com via Paizo Connect, please let their customer service department know and they'll contact us to get it worked out.

I loved it, and the book really sold me on Golarion as a setting and inspired me to switch to Pathfinder 2E for the next campaign. This is wonderful to hear. This is the exact reason we have provided support for both Kingmaker and Abomination Vaults for 5E players. Glad to hear you liked the world enough to give the full game a try.
It seems like you've got the gist of it, yes. Basically, you can use the rules of the game(s) but none of the setting material (including the Pact Worlds, the Drift, the Gap, etc.) under the OGL for Starfinder First Edition or the ORC for Starfinder Second Edition. You can't release something under both. If you want to use the setting material in your product, you can do so in conjunction with the OGL/ORC so long as it's a non-commercial product and you adhere to the terms of the Community Use Policy. Alternatively, you can forego using the OGL/ORC and just use the Starfinder Infinite license, but that does mean you have to be careful about first edition material that might be derivitive of the OGL. Safest bet is to make it a second edition product. In the first two cases, you can use the Starfinder Compatibility logo for the appropriate edition of the game, if you so choose. Doing so grants you limited rights to use our trademarks, but not the rules, so you'd still need the OGL/ORC (and Community Use Policy if you kept the setting material in the product). You can't use both the Infinite and Compatiblity licenses. Hope that helps, but as I said, I think you understood it pretty well before I "helped."
Perpdepog wrote: For that matter, am I off-base or is one of the packs intended for PF1E? Or am I just getting the two games' Advanced Player's Guides mixed up? The only class-specific character sheets for the classes that originally appeared in the second edition Advanced Player's Guide but are now in either Player Core or Player Core 2 are in the APG character folio, so that's why it's included. We didn't want witch or investigator players who got the remastered core books not to have the custom character sheets (despite the existing character folios not being remastered).

Indigo and other book retailers used to get Paizo product from Diamond Book Distributors. We warned back in early July that Diamond didn't have any stock of our new and forthcoming releases, and that such titles would be unavailable in most book stores as a result. If you want a physical copy of Era of the Eclipse, you'll need to order it from a game store who we supply through hobby distributors or from Paizo directly. It won't be in brick & mortar or online book retailers for the foreseeable future. Alternatively, you can buy the ebook or audiobook now, as those are distributed independently from the physical product that is tied up in the Diamond bankruptcy. We apologize for the inconvenience.
In most RPG books, the title page is where the publisher's masthead, credits, title, and other legal declarations are made. Sometimes it doubles as the table of contents. So, it doesn't need to be its own page with only the title on it, like you'd see in fiction, but there does need to be a place in your book where you're defining who owns the copyright to its material, and what licenses and permissions you're using to incorporate other parties' IP—in this case, the Paizo-owned compatibility logo. What you describe as your plan should work fine.
Thanks for that list, Brinebeast! Making some of the connections between different works of fiction clearer is one of my goals when we redo the webstore, so hopefully we won't need fan outlines like this once that has happened. I also wanted to point out that all of the Pathfinder Tales Web Fiction (not the flash fiction since 2019) is now available for purchase on the Kindle and DriveThru marketplaces. We'll get them all up here on paizo.com at some point as well, but our focus now is the new store, not plugging holes in old product lines. I also wanted to note a few errors here for the sake of accuracy: "Boar and Rabbit" is a tie-in to The Redemption Engine
Bill Ward's Pathfinder's Journal "Light of a Distant Star" features many of the same characters as his short story "The Box" Ailson Kindler from the Pathfinder's Journal "Guilty Blood" also appears in Wes Schneider's novel, Bloodbound. The same characters from Kevin Andrew Murphy's web fiction series also appeared in his Pathfinder's Journal novella, "The Bonedust Dolls." Both Alaeron and Rodrick are in "A Tomb of Winter's Plunder." "Gad's Crew" also appeared in the Pathfinder's Journal novella, "Sweet Ichor" and Hendregan from Worldwound Gambit was also in Blood of the City. Eando Kline from the "Compass Stone" novella was also in Lord of Runes. And while Jheraal from Hellknight does not appear in "Certainty," Ederras does. Velenne Thrune likewise appears in both Nightglass and Hellknight. I think that's all the corrections, but it's a long list and I bet I missed something else. Again, thanks for compiling!
One of the great things about having your own table's continuity is that you control what happens where. If you have players with a vested interest in Hellknight Hill who don't like the idea of playing low-level characters saving the same spot after their prior PCs moved on, or who can't come up with a reason why their specific characters might not be there to defend it, then in your campaign the events that take place in Breachill in this and other adventures can just happen somewhere else. Or not at all. You decide what's canon at your table.
Cbwitt wrote: What happens if you pay for the physical book bundle and they run out and you don’t get it? We provided Humble Bundle only enough codes to cover the quantity of the book we have in stock. If we sell out of it, the $45 tier will no longer be available on the bundle. (You can still give any amount for charity, it just won't grant a code to redeem for that tier anymore.) Edit: urp, what Rue said. That's what I get for replying before I scroll through the whole thread.
I should also note that Howard's other two novels are currently unavailable as eBooks because we're in the process of reissuing those as Paizo-published editions instead of TOR-licensed titles. We expect them to be available again sometime next month. Audiobooks of his first three novels are available on Audible (no audiobook was produced for Through the Gate in the Sea). The discount and 100% gofundme donation only apply to purchases on paizo.com, however.
Many years ago, before Roll20 was a thing, we were working on what would have been the first browser-based VTT, which we called "Game Space." It was intended to work seamlessly in our forums, and allow people to play realtime or asynchronous (PbP) games. Game Space was never completed and we opted to focus our tech resources on other priorities. Given that there are now several VTTs available from companies whose primary function is making tech rather than publishing books, there's not really the need for Paizo to reinvent the wheel. We love our partners at Fantasy Grounds, Roll20, FoundryVTT, and others, and we're happy to work with them to make playing Pathfinder on their platforms as positive an experience for GMs and players as they can. If you're interested in trying out a VTT other than Fantasy Grounds, I recommend you check out FoundryVTT and Roll20, both of whom have sizable Pathfinder player bases. Or provide feedback to FG about what you'd like to see improved upon, and they can hopefully help make Pathfinder play the way you want on their platform.

Glad you're enjoying the Godsrain audiobook. Please be sure to leave a review when you're done! As for this one, there are currently no plans for an audiobook version. Audible produced audiobook versions of some of our other short fiction back in 2015, and sales on those are nowhere near the levels of the novels, so it doesn't make financial sense to invest in audiobooks of short fiction at this time. Maybe in the future, but for now, we're focused on supporting our novels as best as we can. Marcus Ewert wrote: Actually, now that I'm thinking about the audio Adventure Paths, can I buy them anew as mp3s or whatever? 'Cause I would totally listen to them again (and there were some entries I never got to) You can find the full range of Pathfinder Legends audio dramas here. And you're in luck, because the CDs are out of print, but the digital downloads are all still totally available. Enjoy!
The Pathfinder Tales brand is retired, the last title of which was released in 2017. Since we don't have a regular release cadence for fiction like we did with Tales (bi-monthly releases) there is no subscription for fiction at this time. Even if we were to do a fiction subscription down the road, it would be a new thing, since suddenly resurrecting a subscription from 8+ years in the past pushes the legality of the agreement Tales subscribers signed when starting their subs back as early as 2010.
"Before the Godsrain" should be back on the Kindle store now, at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DM2Q4LN2. Thanks for your patience.

Unfortunately, everyone who had previously preordered the book will need to place a new order when it is relisted.

We'll look into it. I can open them in Apple books directly, so it must be something that's happening between our upload and your download. We're not getting any formatting errors flagged when the files are validated, so it might be hard to track down. What device are you using?
Darth Krzysztof wrote: My order for this is still pending; is it downloadable now? That shouldn't be happening. This book should be available to everyone as of now.
FallenDabus wrote: That said, any word on when the audiobook version will be avaliable? We are having some technical difficulties getting the files uploaded to the Paizo store, but hope to have it available for purchase today. It will be available on Audible and the Apple store once the files (submitted a few weeks ago) make it through their (frustratingly slow and opaque) review/QC process. On other audiobook markets like the Google Play Store, the audiobook should be available on Nov. 5, along with the physical and digital version in the wider book channel.
