Traveling tomorrow, but more time mid to end of week.

Long been exposed to Pathfinder, but not a lot of experience playing. A few first level characters in the Pathfinder Society, and then a pick-up game that went all the way to Level 4 in Sandpoint, Rise of the Runelords. I do have a Priest of Gorum named Brother Payne, but he's in fledgling status as only briefly played in a PbP that failed...I'd be a neophyte for PF, but lots of experience elsewhere in D&D, AD&D, 5E, and Shadow of the Demon Lord. I'm not a Rules Lawyer by any means, and would need a bit of help to flesh out a priest beyond 2nd Level. I'd be dating myself, but I grew up near to, and at the inception of D&D in the early 70s. I first played "Chainmail" in 1977, and my Saxon with a sharpened wooden pole and a knife got axed by a Viking in ring mail with a battle axe. It was one of those "Hmmmm..." moments.

Curious, I have a number of duplicate Dragon Magazines (for example #79, 110, etc) and was wondering if there is an interest in these within the community - without resorting to eBay.
Cheers.

I noticed in the scratch and dent section that there were some Dragons available. Good to see, but as I have Dragon from Issue #70, I am actually looking to part with a few odd ones that came as double ups - either through subscription changes or moves - and was wondering if there is a mechanism for that within the message boards? I don't do eBay due to a bad experience a while back, so would like to target this audience without infringing...

Thanks

Just upped the pledge a bit to allow for the "awesome" shieldmate benefit. Tapped though, and now require a new job...

Curious as to the February date for Thornkeep. Will it be out soon? I have held off on PDF to wait for the print copy to be released.

From what I have reviewed, the Empyrean Order would be a great direction for someone new to online play and interested in direction, alliances, and a sense of security. One of the primary reasons I did not get involved with other online games was the prospect of having a new character lost or killed off by other players. My only hesitation with joining at this point is that I would not have very much time to dedicate, so could not go the military order route. I would also not want to be a hindrance to the group. I would envision a support role for the characters.

At the moment, we are a bit remote and very likely to make a military move by Summer.

What other games is the Order currently involved with, and is there tabletop as well?

Cheers!

@Jon Vandiver - did you find a shieldmate?

Liking the Empyrean Order, and, as I have some time, you have a new member...hopefully I will have some time to do some online gaming other than diplomacy.
Cheers,

Some research appears in order, perhaps later tonight for the Empyrean Order.

Thinking of an Elven Archer this go, but willing to try other roads. No game group in my Arctic refuge!

Cheers,

Drat! Work is so annoying! @Richter - New to Pathfinder, and online, so might be amenable to The Empyrean Order. But would not have the time for your military arm it would appear...

Just signed up for Crowdforger yesterday, and would be open to shieldmate...though not sure of the exact mechanics involved. I have some familiarity with Pathfinder, but living rather remote. At least, I consider Alaska remote.

I am sure many game stores do, but I am afraid I am overseas - Aviano Airbase, Italy - and there is no out of print material available. I will have to keep trying to find Dungeon #70 via the internet. Any leads would be helpful, and I have included my email address below. Now all I have to do is find a gaming group...

Thanks,
Mark

True about e-bay. They do have Dungeon in Lot packages. I am personally looking for a copy of Dungeon Issue 70...but it is very difficult to locate. My original copy turned up missing following a business trip. Pity, because now it is the only one I am missing from Dungeon #1-150. If there is anyone out there with an extra and willing to part with it, I am willing to pay a reasonable amount to complete the collection.

Ouch sums it up. I first came across Dragon Magazine on the store shelves of TSR in Lake Geneva in the late 70s. I subscribed since issue #70, and Dungeon from issue #1. I have enjoyed the magazines - sometimes more so, sometimes less so - but always looked forward to arrival in my mailbox.

I suppose I too will follow the talent for the remainder of my $, but pathfinder looks a tad expensive and bulky for a regular subscription.
