Actually the player who´s playing the evil cleric usually does not play evil characters as good as we would like him to do so. He usually is the kind of player who´s easy going and a follower type. Then why not just have him worship Cthulhu?

That would be very cool, but he chose Norgorber. We have not reached the point in which PCs need to identify Norgorber´s doings , symbols or anything, so as per Gustavo´s suggestion, I´m using Shax in place of Norgorber.

I´m really not worried about the party failing or dying vs heavy encounters we have a veteran battle oriented party. For this first part of the game i had to pump up the encounters, goblins on steroids and raging barbarians for the first part of burnt offerings and Skeleton warriors and skeletal sorcerers for the late father burial profanation.

This is a very interesting party.

We have:
All Level 2
16, 16,14,14,12,12 ( that´s the usual stats we use, we always play homebrew amterial but as I´m new to DMing in running RoTRL)

gnome sorcerer ( Controller)
Human Harbinger ( Heavy hitter, good Defense)
Human Warder ( Heavy hitter, better Defense)
human cleric of Norgorber ( need to coach this guy)
Human Stalker (Heavy hitter ok defense)
Human Rogue ( multi Harpy Musk user, every now and then TWF flank buddy)

It’s getting interesting, i need to modify every encounter and make it more challenging lots of no light environments and lots of sticky silence rocks will help the encounters. Booby traps and lots of cover and difficult terrain. I’ll keep you posted on how this goes, but replacing Norgorber with Shax minions and flavor make lots of sense to me ATM.

Good day friends!

It makes sense, thank you guys for the clarification!

Good day and thanks!

Hi guys,

Is there a way Druids can reduce their wildshape size and still keep the size bonus of their transformation?

Example.

Level 12 Druid wild shapes into a huge earth elemental +8 size bonus to your Strength, a -2 penalty on your Dexterity, a +4 size bonus to your Constitution, and a +6 natural armor bonus.

My goal is to keep this stats but in a Medium or Large size.

How can i acomplish this?

P.D Not sure it this needs to be posted in advice or rules section, if it needs to be moved, feel fre to do so, or tell me and I´ll move it.

Thanks.

Excelent Gustavo, I´m positive ïll include this section too.

Thanks!

I´m reading Shax and its actualy a great idea. Thanks Gustavo!

Thank you guys for all this information. Let me do some research and find the way to incorporate all the information you jist passed down.

With deeper information on Norgober and the Way of the Wiked addition I believe I can make it work out.

i´ll keep you posted.

Thanks for the imput and have a great weekend.

Good rolls good times.

Mario Rocket.

Ms. Pleiades, thank you for your comments. I don´t want to truncate my player options, and i see how important is Norgober and Lamashtu followers to the story.

Can you recommend another evil deity for him to choose?

Thanks

Hello guys good day,

I’m looking for some advice with one of my players, he’s going to play ROTRL with an evil Norgober Cleric, and I´m cool with it, but i need some ideas on how to place him in the story taking in consideration the role of other clerics and cultist of Norgorber as villains the party will be facing.
His background states he was a former apprentice of a late Norgorber Cleric assassinated not long ago by a fellow cleric. His final assignment included finding a legendary artifact of Norgorber.

The easiest thing to do is guiding this PC into being the one that carry the TRUE intents of Norgorber against the Cultist and Clerics involved with the Runewells, but I’m looking for something more original.
Any Ideas on how to connect this guy or fitting him with the story and his party?

Thanks!

Hello guys good day.
I’m currently playing a homebrew campaign, due to several changes, wishes, and plot twisters my level 12 dwarven inquisitor has the opportunity to play as a tri-gestalt character. For the Tri-gestalt I have, inquisitor 12//druid8//fighter4, no multiclass each class is a different gestalt base.

Playing style:

Inquisitor, self-buff, two handed, either great sword of falchion.
Druid, Medium elemental wild shape, earth primary form.
Fighter, free feats, two handed archetype.

Last session my character reached level 13, this means all of my classes level up. I´m keeping my inquisitor and druid classes, but I’m still wandering what to do with my fighter levels, one of my choices can be monk but I’m looking for other options. All paizo books allowed. Do you have any idea? Or advice?

Base stats Including level bumps and race modifiers. (
16,16,14,14,12,12)

19 Level 4 level 8 level 12
14
18
12
16
10

Thanks

Excelent, thank you.

Hi, Happy new year!

Quick question. If I use lend a judgement via the spell to grant an ally the benefit of one of my active judgments, does the dwarven level bonus (1/2 my level to determine one specific Judgement level) favor my non dwarven or dwarven ally, or does she/he only gets regular judgement bonus.

Thanks

Thank you for the info.

Good day guys,

As the subject states, can Bramble Armor and Thorn Body be used simultaneously? If they stack this would be a very nice combo. For a level 8 Druid, when attacked she/he deals 1d6 + 4 from Bramble Armor PLUS 1d6 + 8 from Thorn body averaging 18 hit points of damage.

If possible I have another question, is the damage dealt per round or per attack?

Please let me know if this is correct.
Thank you.

Mario Rocket

I believe boar style can suit my needs.

Thank you all.

I know this is something odd and before asking my DM to hose rule something I wanted to check with you guys if there was something to consider this...
I was thinking once per wild shape, if I assume the form of an earth elemental, this earth elemental in specific has this type of limbs, having a big limitation of not being able to open doors or do any thumb related activities or grabbing things with its hands and so on.
Let´s see if anyone else can bring some ideas or rules we´re not aware of. If not I´m going to see if we can get it house ruled.
Thanks!

This is good. Found this.

Weapon Versatility (Combat)
You can use your favored weapons in unconventional ways.
Prerequisites: Weapon Focus, base attack bonus +1.
Benefit: When wielding a weapon with which you have Weapon Focus, you can shift your grip as a swift action so that your weapon deals bludgeoning,
piercing, or slashing damage instead of the damage type normally dealt by
that weapon. You may switch back to the weapon’s normal damage type or another damage type as a swift action. If your base attack bonus is +5 or higher, using this feat is a free action instead.

I´m still wandering if this apply to natural attacks, also having a little imagination in re-shaping the stone on the limbs of an earth elemental, don´t know if thats posible.

Good day,

I am currently playing a lvl 8 Druid, I like wild shaping into a medium Earth Elemental. For attacks I use my slam attacks, and I was wondering if there is a way to change my slam attack into a Natural attack that deals either Slashing or Piercing Damage?

I imagine shaping my "hands" into claws (slashing) or spiked rocks and/or spikes (piercing) ala morning star.

What are my options?

Thanks

Bump for stoned

Planar wild shape

Powerful Shape

Hello guys, need your knowledge please.

Beast shape II via wildshape, you gain grab. So far so good.

Question, do you gain these bonus?

"Creatures with the grab special attack receive a +4 bonus on combat maneuver checks made to start and maintain a grapple."

Thanks

Now I have a clear idea that it can´t be used to stay a float. THANKS!

It was just a random idea I had and you guys helped alot. BTW cork armor is not that crazy as it may seem, specialy for pirates and sea fighters.

AoMF can work too and it´s a great alternative, but they are too expensive for a low level character, I was thinking of getting advantage of this idea since lvl 1 o.0.

What about something like Trap Jaw from the Masters of the Universe?

Any ideas? I´m trying to think out of the box, keeping rules not far behind. I can use any published books except 3rd party material.

Hello friends,

Quick question, what do I have to consider in order to replace regular fangs on a half-orc(toothy) with I don’t know, cold iron fangs? This taking in consideration, DR or extra resistance, not oriented in increasing damage. I know that tooth prosthetics have been around for a while but no idea how we can handle this in PF. This is not PFS so it can be house ruled, but I want to have some background in order to negotiate house ruling this.

Thanks!

I agree with you guys, i was aiming at a more simple aproach, which is wood floats, not all of them, it was a random tought, not oriented into geting benefits under circumstances.

Thanks!

Hello friends,

I´m trying to find a certain relation between wearing armor made out of these special materials and swimming. Wood floats right... Suppose my character who wears a darkwood breastplate falls into the water, considering Amor Check Penalties and all, would the wood from the armor helps at all in the floating/ not drowning process?

Thanks for your wisdom.

Mario.

What about a wildshaped druid wearing stoneplate and a stone warhammer?. Can she/he earthgilde in earth elemental form with the equipment on?

Perfect timing,

I´m currently playing a dwarf druid in the CC AP. Can´t look at them right now, but as soon I get home I´ll check them out.

One of the things that you need to get clarified is the following.

Which sorcerer spells or features are youy looking for?

Remeber that there are some cleric domains that offer arcane spells.

its all about figuring out what you need specificaly from that class.

Figure what spells/features you are looking for and we can help you build something

have another idea, what about a melee druid monk?

Average bab, average AC, almost all of the druid goodies.
Monk 1/druid 19
I might be wrong my friends, but as I’m aware of, Flurry of blows keeps on progressing with the BAB, not with monk levels.

Soooo, putting this idea to work, how about a druid with flurry of blows wielding a Quarter staff flurrying enemies with spikes and shillelagh, plus barkskin for AC bonuses.

Have in consideration that maybe this character doesn’t need that much Feats, we can have a good melee monk with Animal companion for whatever purposes you want, summoning elementals and whacking NPC with a super spikey super strong unbelievable Ironwood shillelaghed quarterstaff?

For feats we can have ashbound, spell focus (conj), augment summoning and stuff for the elementals, without forgetting the Rashemis Elemental summoning and stuff from UE.

Bab will be rescued by buffs and stuff, and elemental summons will help you escape and do other tactics while you move.

What do you think? Can you help me optimize this build

According to the spell, using Wood Shape (Drd 2) *or* a Craft skill will be sufficient to make Ironwood into armor. If you can cast Ironwood anyway, there's no reason not to use Wood Shape and save on skill points.

Note that Ironwood, unlike Darkwood, becomes as heavy as metal armor.

Perfect!!!

Thanks again for the knwoledge!

Alright thanks for the info. need to figure out what to wear now, darkwood breastplate seems a nice choice, its almost the same price as the dragonhide plate, that combined with a large darkwood shield.

Darkwood breastplates, while every bit as likely to exist as a darkwood shield, aren't officially in-game. Make sure your DM is okay with the idea first.

Use of heavy armour requires a feat.

They don't have heavy armour proficiency, so let's use a breastplate. And wild is in PF, so you don't need a splatbook.
Hmmm...good point, they are lacking that. But what's a feat between friends? :)

Hello guys this is actualy my first post on the messageboards.

My name is Mario, from Monterrey Mexico, and im currently playing a half orc druid 8 with the Pathfinder character on an eberron Setting, GO Ashbound !!!

Im not sure about this but i have this info here.

taken from the PFRPG SRD

"This suit of full plate is made of dragonhide, rather than metal, so druids can wear it. It is otherwise identical to masterwork full plate. "

I think this gives the Druids the oportunity to use them, it doesnt states thou that you need the needed proficiency to use heavy armor.
