Marea raises her eyebrows and lectures Diego rather loudly, "Consider well how you speak of a woman kind-hearted enough to take pity on you and share her bed, sir! I've a mind to find her father and tell him of your opinion of his little girl. He could give you lessons in courtesy with his smith's hammer or perhaps a belaying pin."
Under cover of the general chuckles at nearby tables, she gives him a dig with her sharp little elbow and leans in to whisper "Have a care using that name unless you want us burned at the stake!" A rap of her fingertips on his sacred stein leaves no doubt about what name alarms her.
