About Marcondi

Marcondi (Half-Elf Flame Dancer Bard)
Marcondi is a half-elf bard from the Oppara, the capital city of Taldor. He had no early tragedy in his life to propel him into adventuring. Rather, tales of heroic deed made him rather restless and tired of his comfortable, and rather dull, life in his parents' house.

Early Life of Marcondi:
Marcondi ("mar-CON-dee") is an aspiring half-elf bard from the Taldan capital of Oppara. His parents, Pinnonius and Andrelma, are both retired half-elf bardic adventurers. They now live a comfortable, if uneventful, living making musical instruments. In ancient and well-cultured Oppara, there is always a demand for quality musical instruments!

Marcondi did not grow up in a life of hardship, strife, nor want. His parents saw to it that he was well tutored in the bardic arts. Partly because he is good at it, but also because it helped him to be better able defend himself if needs be. While Marcondi did not have formal training at the renowned bardic schools in Oppara, his training from his parents was more than adequate.

Marcondi's talent and training were good enough that he earned a commission with Lady Nelassa, a retired Lion Blade veteran. This commission exposed him to many a tale of heroic exploits, which he found fascinating. He also became fascinated by flame as well, for no apparent reason. While not a pyromaniac, he finds fire and flames fascinating.

Although he never led a remarkable life in Oppara, he has become restless. He befriended a weather-beaten bard in Lady Nelassa's household, Serucos. He had an inexhaustible supply of exciting tales to tell Marcondi. Both of his own exploits and those of many others. All these tales have filled Marcondi with a strong wanderlust that cannot be satisfied by tales alone. He wants to go have exploits to sing about; literally!

Pinnonius and Andrelma are ambivalent about letting their son go gallivanting about as an adventurer. They know all to well just how dangerous it can be, having both come close to Death'S door several times themselves. At the same time, they also know how irresistible the urge to travel and adventure is. So Marcondi set about adventuring with his parents' blessing.

Personality:
Marcondi is definitely a happy-go-lucky sort. He was not privelaged and pampered growing up, but he did not experience any real tragedy to speak of. Although he heard of no shortage of tragedy by becoming a bard.

He is easy-going and well-meaning. He likes to help people and always likes to see the good in people. As befits a worshiper of Sarenrae; even though he is not the most devout of her worshippers.

Motivation:
He wants to experience and be a part of heroic exploits. It is not enough to hear heroic tales. He wants to be there as the heroic exploits unfold before him!
