Specifically as they relate to Hydraulic Push.

Caster Level+ INT bonus= CMB of 7.

Low level goblin has a CMD of 12 if I recall correctly.

So, I roll d20+7 and hope I beat 12 to push the gobbo 5 feet, and more for every 5 that I beat that number by?

If so, suggestions on how I can make this spell more useful? I'd really like to be able to use it to knock things off high places that lack ledges, you know?

Online game, using the SRD site for rules and such.

I have a now 3rd level wizard. I had come to the conclusion that you can't prepare the same spell multiple times.

However, I just found this when rereading the section on magic:
"If you've prepared multiple copies of a single spell, you can cast each copy once."

Is there anything out there that contradicts this, or should I just be happy and accept my fortune?

Hello all.

Here is the rough draft of my first Pathfinder character. I wanted to make sure I'd gotten my math right, and there were a few areas of the character sheet that I didn't recognize even after reviewing the SRDsite, so I'm posting him here in case anyone would like to skim it over and offer suggestions or corrections.

Much obliged.

Hello all. Got a question about building my first Pathfinder character (I've been using the SRD site).

He's starting out as a lvl 2 human wizard, with 18 INT. So by my calculations last night I determined that he had 16 ranks to be distributed, but now in the clean light of morning I can only come up with the math for 14 ranks.

Also, regarding feats- Can I only use bonus feats to get metamagic feats and their ilk? The SRD site isn't clear.

Also, I'm a bit confused on crafting staves. I know I need the Craft: Staves Magic Item creation feat.... (which I can only get as a bonus feat? See above), but at what level can I make a staff once I have that feat? I've read and reread, and it seems to me that I need to be lvl 11 to make a staff.

Gracias, muchachos.
