I am going to bow out of this adventure, I feel the story of the AP was a big appeal to me and this feels more like a stat block run adventure with information being revealed without regard for the development of the story. Mallow seems completely confused by what is going on as he turns to the others. "No one seems to be taking this seriously...its like the curse is affecting them and making them ignore it. We should definitely investigate the source of this signal but perhaps getting a message back to the Starfinders wouldn't be a bad idea. In case we are somehow unable to handle whatever we find."

Uh...ok. So no RP chance to convince them? The information is presented oddly so I'm trying hard not to metagame here. We know the signal is coming from below the resort, is there some obvious way to get down there? The long copy pasted room list is also a lot to go back and reference as we haven't interacted with 90% of it yet.

Well don't forget you can stellar rush as a standard action...and charge specifically lets you move twice your move rate so you can move then double move charge.

Well I have flight jetpack but pretty much ranged weapons are the go to in starfinder so its not crazy broken. I didn't have money for a gun but I figured I'd be using spells and supporting mostly and could pick up a hand me down or a spare off enemies at some point.

Also digging the characters so far. Looking forward to having drinks and relaxing and absolutely nothing going horrifically wrong at all.

I feel bad that I couldn't even land a bad missile hit but such is the fate of short combats. I hope in the future I can make it up instead of just fumbling through.

I was actually thinking Flyby myself as its a great manuever. Lets see where we end up in init. If we have to go first then Flyby, otherwise make the call based on their positioning. I trust your judgement as you seem knowledgeable with the maneuvers.

I suggest a new round, our rolling luck hopefully will improve. Doc is staying Captain clearly, gunners seem set, no need for shield repairs so I'd say lets just stick with what we have and let each gunner take a +2 bonus unless the pilot is gonna try a tricky manuever.

You can always change roles at start of each round but I didn't see any other skills on Dr. that were especially useful for ship combat.

Sadly I don't think Doc has a high intimidate stat.

The sharks were closing in but Mallow intended to show them the error of taking on a Starfinder and his equally talented companions. He spoke over the comms holding his fire as he let the ships come into range. "That's it...Get ready to fire on the lead ship in 3...2...Mark!" With a nervous jitter he clenched his finger on the twin linked missile launchers as the ship centered on his targeting console. He used the on board computer to help lock on his target.

Gonna use one of the 3 anytime +2 to any check our trinode can hand out. I recommend the other gunners using them and the Captain should probably assist one of the gunners too, probably the particle beam.

Sahweet. Also I wanted to say I'm loving our team communication oog so far to make this combat smooth. And DoubleGold you are the most responsive GM I have at the moment so that is always nice too.

I would need them within 12 hexes to ensure missiles hit each turn since we are limited on turns. So try not to back off too much and try to keep them in the forward arc. So honestly sitting still with our current facing seems to work if they comes to us and we light them up. Even at the slowest engines they should come within my range.

Makes sense to me. I'm thinking if the pilot wins initiative we can see how they move then do whatever fancy flying we need to put one target within 12 spaces of us in forward arc. Assuming all of us hit that is 4d4+8d6+16d8(linked missiles). I think we are gonna at the least wipe out one ship by combat end assuming no bad luck with piloting.

Science is the role that uses computers so you could go there but also you could grab a free gun as there are three ships and odds are they'll be in different arcs so you can probably take some 4d4 damage Attacks of opportunity while the rest of us focus fire down one ship. Without any ranks in engineering we'll pull either Captain or myself in if shields become critical to success. Our best hope is to dodge their attacks and find the arcs they lack weapons in. I'd normally recommend using scans on turn 1 and 2 to figure out their defenses and weapons but since this is going to be a short combat I think using your skills in computers to lock onto their engine systems might help but again with how short rounds are just having a extra gunner never hurts.

Not the end of the world, I know in the FAQ they say ships built for SFS/AP can break some rules and no reason why missile launchers couldn't be linked...i built it out and the built points add up.

@DoubleGold There seems to be a rules anomaly on the Drake Tier 6 sheet. It says the HE Missile Launcher is linked implying its two linked missile launchers but to my knowledge you could only link Direct fire weapons. What is your thoughts?

With as short as combat is going to be I think more gunners is the way to go.

Don't forget about level 6 using resolve actions for each role too. Especially for Captain.
