I WANT to play, I PREFER to play, but I can also GM, not the best, but passable; looking to start a home group. If I GM, I want a volunteer apprentice from the player pool :) It's good for you.
Will be starting meetings at 3rd Eye Games, in Annapolis, until I'm comfortable inviting ppl to my home (if that happens).
I have played Pathfinder, 7th Seas, D&D 3.5, Savage Worlds, Darwin's World, etc. I am interested only in Pathfinder or D&D 5e. I'm looking for about 3-4 people interested in playing/DMing. Ideally once a week, preferably on a Friday or Saturday night, but I'm open to a weeknight. Prefer no non-player children at game sessions, willing to include older children who are game-focused.
Looking for players interested in adhering to the rules but not rules-lawyers, players who are willing to actually role-play a little (everyone has their strengths and preferences, no problem! No LARPing at the table, but come on, it IS a role playing game!).
NOT looking for this to become a dinner game. Snacks fine, bring your own (buy your own, at 3rd Eye). Not looking for an intensively social group, game-focused, at least at first and while gaming.
I prefer ultimately to play within a 20-25 minute drive of Lothian/Upper Marlboro, MD. 3rd Eye Games is at the limit of my boundaries for a weekly drive and until I'm comfortable in someone's home/with ppl in my home :)
Message me here.
I just want to play! Or DM. Thanks for reading!

New to Maryland, not new to gaming/Pathfinder (also open to D&D 5e)

Hi,
New to the area. Looking for a small game. Some experience in other systems and games eg Savage Worlds, prefer Pathfinder and 3.5 or 4E. Prefer a more game-focused group, not a rules-lawyer but appreciate informed, adherent play.
I'd like to stay in PG county, possibly once a week or once every two weeks.
Thank you!
Thank you all; this has been *very* helpful. I've only been playing about 2 years and I got pushed into GMing so I am still learning *so* much. I appreciate you taking the time to help a learner.

Hello Pathfinder Experts!
I was helping someone create a character recently and he was interested in multi-classing. I have never done that so there were some unanswerable questions that cropped up.
Could some of you please address any or all of these? Thanks!
1. When multiclassing, if both classes 'class skills' overlap, for example, with Perception, does the character get +3 or +6 to Perception as a class skill?
2. For Craft and Profession, does the character get only +3 in one or in all the slots for Craft and Profession?
3. What is Terran--meaning, who speaks Terran and what kind of creatures are they?
4. Do the base saves and other bonuses stack when multiclassing or leveling up? Or, does the player take the better set (or better individual) for each type of bonus or save?
5. Half elves take the racial traits of both humans and elves, does that mean, for example, that if humans get a bonus feat at first level and elves are proficient with longbows, that a half elf gets the bonus feat at first level and is also proficient with half elf weapons and armor as well as the longbow?
Thank you!
Ah, I see, Grick, thanks!
Thank you, Necroluth. I just saw the Area notation for it, so I feel extra-stupid, but the explanation was great, thanks!
Thanks, Grick, that is also helpful :)
Hi again,
So the Sleep spell affects 4HD creatures; what does that mean? A sorcerer casting Sleep has a hit die of d6, so does that mean up to 24 creatures would fall asleep??? Doesn't seem right? Or does it mean that creatures up to a certain level (eg, 4th) would fall asleep?
Thanks!
Thanks, ubiquitous, THAT was helpful!
Hi folks,
I have searched these threads and not found the answer I'm looking for.
I need to understand what a ranged touch attack is and then can someone please explain to me in straightforward terms the penalty (ies?) for a spell caster making a ranged touch attack?
My understanding is that a touch spell means the caster must physically touch the target. A ranged touch spell would be a spell that has a range, such as 25 feet plus 5 feet per every 2 caster levels, is that right?
And then, to use a ranged touch spell, which is the definition of "ranged touch attack" (right?) the caster chooses a target in range and casts the spell, is that right? So, if the caster chooses a target within range, say 25 feet, and has only Point-Blank Shot (low level caster), then she would receive +1 on her roll for the PBS but a -4 to cast into melee unless her target was 10 feet or further from the nearest friendly? Is that ***all*** the caster has to add to her roll?
Thanks!

Enjoy Europe!
This is only remotely "in the area", but if you get up to the UK, there's a little AD service member Pathfinder activity in the Mildenhall/Lakenheath area. Cheers!
Still looking for players--or, dare I hope, someone ELSE to GM--in the Lakenheath, Mildenhall, Feltwell UK area.
If you're doing a tour in Korea (Osan, Busan, Suwon, DMZ etc) or PCSing from Ramstein or Spangdahlem or Rota or Naples or somewhere else in Europe, I'm here until October 2014 and looking to Pathfind and network.
Sigh. Playin' 7th Sea and writing my own Pathfinder campaign until then...
Rone-ry, so rone-ry, feerin' so sad and so bruuuuuue...
If your follow on is in Mildenhall or Lakenheath/Feltwell, UK, look me up until Oct 2014 or search the Tri-Base Tabletop Gaming group on FB. Good luck with your tour.
Hi DSXMachina,
I go up to Menwith Hill about 4 times a year for work--maybe room in a pickup game???
Any contact info for your old group member would be great, or you could pass him/her my email ink hyphen slinger at earthlink dot net.
Thanks for the info!
Thanks, DigitalMage and Snorter, I'm jonesing for a game!
A friendly Brit group in Essex offered me a trial go last year, and I briefly met them, but I'd just moved to the UK and totally flaked; I'm a bit more settled now.
I'm based near Mildenhall/Lakenheath and looking to start a group on one of the two bases there.
I have never played by email, but I have played PF--are you still seeking players?
I'm in the Lakenheath/Mildenhall, Suffolk area looking for an in person game group. I can DM but prefer to play and I'm a relatively new DM.
Thanks!

Good luck and stay safe.
3-4 brave adventurers needed for a Pathfinder jaunt!
Hoping to hold 5-8 hour, *child-free* gaming sessions once every 2 weeks or so at the RAFL or RAFM community center starting in mid January 2013.
Open-minded players respectful of each other's ideas and property welcome, new players included.
*Child-free*, meaning, please do not bring children to gaming sessions, not that players who are parents are not welcome.
I'm a new DM who has lead four to five 8-10 hour sessions; I'm interested in honing my DMing skills but also in playing, so players need to be willing to DM or learn to DM.
Please use subject line: Pathfinder Player and email ink [hyphen]slinger at earthlink dot net with information about yourself and your gaming history, which base you prefer to meet on, and your philosophy on gaming.
Thanks!
David Fryer wrote: Is it too much to hope for a 49ers/Steelers Super Bowl this year? Yeah, I know the Ravens have beaten the Steelers twice this season, but in a year when the Lions have a winning season and the Bengals are #1 in their division, anything is possible. Maybe this is a 'duh' question, but are you a Steelers fan!? I was incredibly disappointed when the Steelers gave up the game last Superbowl. Anyway, there's always next season. Also, if you're still in the Lakenheath area and know of any gaming groups (Pathfinder or D&D) open to a new member, I'd love to chat. (I always bring food to game night!) Thanks so much! keri.martell /at/ g mail dot com
Thanks for the follow up, Zombieneighbours!
Thank you for your replies!
Apparently I'm kind of a minority amongst tabletop gamers in that I'm not so great with computers; I think I'd be a bit frustrated with the MapTool and probably I'd end up aggravating the group. Thank you, Axl, for thinking of it though; it's kind of you to include me.
Zombieneighbours, I will check into those options. A once a month one hour drive to Pathfind would be worth it to me! I will look into the Sudbury group you mentioned too, thank you. I stopped by Inner Sanctum Collectibles in Cambridge today and plan on posting an ad there for a group close by, but I really just want to play so your mention of the once a month thing is enticing.
The lady at Inner Sanctum Collectibles said there is a group each at RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath but they seem to be a bit 'under the radar'.
I'm still up for ideas if anyone else wants to post. Thanks a lot, peeps--nice to see the gaming community is so friendly!
Hi Fellow Pathfinders!
I am a relative newbie, started playing in March this year. I have no kids and really enjoy Pathfinder. I had a great group near Davis-Monthan AFB, in Tucson, but just moved to the UK to RAF Mildenhall. I'd really like to find a group to play with; doesn't have to be military people but I'm most comfortable with them. I don't mind kids running around but I like to be with a group that can focus on the game. I usually play a rogue but I have played other classes. I'd be happy to start with a class the group needs provided I could be a rogue in the near future. I always bring good things to eat on game night!
Can someone steer me in the right direction?
Thanks!
Hi Gambit,
Greetings. Pardon my off topic interruption but I saw you are stationed at RAF Mildenhall. My hubby just PCS'ed in and I am looking for a Pathfinder group to join locally in Mildenhall or possibly Lakenheath. I am a bit of a newbie; started with 3.5 and converted to Pathfinder, began all of it in March this year. I usually play a rogue. I'm looking to learn and be part of a group that wants to play. I don't mind kids running around but I do like the focus to be on the game. I always bring provender! Can you help me find a group?
Thanks!
