Well as the title says, seeing the new Numeria setting, with the Technology Guide and the new adventure path Iron Gods, all I could think is "Borderlands Much?"

I got dissapointed, really, I changed from 3.5 to pathfinder because they offered me new worlds, new skills, an improved 3.75 system, everything started to make sense immediately and all clases improved in a cool way

Continuing with the Medieval theme, with iconic monsters and some othernew cool monsters

It was a straight hook, they got all the old school players to change to Path and laugh at 3.5 and the stupid 4th version

Then new classes were coming, I loved all, except 1, the Gunslinger

The Gunslinger was cheesy, Full Bab, Touch Damage, full Dex can forget all other stats except WIS, and extra damage with DEX
This was not cool because if I wanted to put a full armor tank, the gun slinger would say "oh that´s cute"

Then came the Advanced Classes or Hybrids.............

talk about OP and Unbalanced!!!

This became more and more just a videogame, where the players would just think of a build and then win, most of the times, the monsters didn´t offer much challenge and most of the time I would get frustrated as a DM, because, hey! I want to win sometimes too!

The new setting reeks of a vile ripoff of Borderlands, come on!, lasers, bazookas, aliens and motherships?? LAME

I changed to 5th because everything became balanced there, I just wanted to see if anybody else feels dissapointed on Pathfinder like me

PD For the peolpe WHO STILL LIKE PATH, this in NO WAY affects you, if you like the system good for you, i just changed opinion that is all

i have been wondering about combat rules in flight

[PC][NPC]

lets supose those are characters at ground level

[PC]

[NPC]

here the PC used Flight Hex and rose up 10 ft

would the NPC Have an AoO?

would normal AoO rules apply in the air? (assuming both characters can fly and are in adjacent squares in the air)

I have a Ranger that has Natural Weapons: Claws, and he took the Improved Natural Attack feat, his claws normally deal 2D6 damage

if he gets Enlarge+Lead Blades+ Strong JAW, would they stack?

if he gets a glove of Impact would it step up?

I have a question to what type of Step Up Dice to the next level are stackable

I am givin a player this 3rd party ability:

Vicious Assault: The beast is so vicious and aggressive that he can tear enemies to pieces with his bare hands. He gains two claw
attacks. At 6th level and 11th level, the beast’s claws deal greater damage as shown on the chart below. Because these are natural
attacks, the character may make both claw attacks at his normal BAB. He also qualifies for the Improved Natural Attack feat.
Level Medium Small
1st 1d4 1d3
6th 1d6 1d4
11th 1d8 1d6

and he is taking the Shapeshifter Ranger Arquetipe

will Vital Strike apply to both his attacks or just once to one claw

if not can he still make both attacks? since VS says
"When you use the attack action, you can make one attack at your highest base attack bonus that deals additional damage."

When doing a CRitical hit, do they multiply?

Sczarni

The question is simple, being a normal medium sized PC can you still deflect attacks form a Large or bigger enemy?

I don't know why the idea of a Monk deflecting a hit from a Morningstar from a Cloud Giant, I just see it as something inconceivable

There are some Monsters that have special abilities, let's look at the Aboleth for example

Mucus Cloud (Ex)

While underwater, an aboleth exudes a cloud of transparent slime. All creatures adjacent to an aboleth must succeed on a DC 20 Fortitude save each round or lose the ability to breathe air (but gain the ability to breathe water) for 3 hours. Renewed contact with an aboleth's mucus cloud and failing another save extends the effect for another 3 hours. The save DC is Constitution-based.

My question is, that the affected Player Character has to roll Fortitude as the whole sum, or just roll Constitution with the Modifiers that player has

or that means that the monster has calculated the DC because of Modifiers, CR and such?

Liberation Domain
Deity: Desna.
Granted Powers: You are a spirit of freedom and a
staunch foe against all who would enslave and oppress.
Liberation (Su): You have the ability to ignore impediments
to your mobility. For a number of rounds per day equal
to your cleric level, you can move normally regardless
of magical effects that impede movement, as if you
were affected by freedom of movement. This effect occurs
automatically as soon as it applies. These rounds do not
need to be consecutive.

There's a scene where I'm currently blindfolded, made deaf by some objects in my ear, I'm handcuffed and my legs are also binded so that I may not move at all

Yet I have this power and the DM says I need my Holy Symbol to do the power, also I need the component of the spell Freedom of Movement.

He told me he knows there is nowhere on the book where it says otherwise, but I need to check with all DMs and discuss this rule, because he told me to ask that if there is something I need

I discussed this because it is a Domain power, something granted by a Divine Power, it is not a spell and the only ability that needs the Holy Symbol is the Channel Energy, as said on the Cleric Class

so do I need components/holy symbol to liberate myself from this awkward situation?
