Two years later, I have this exact question.
I suppose that if a designated sub-team of the party chose to do Contact for a given influence round, they could do it more than once in the round if they made it take less time, but if that sub-team is just two PCs and they make Contact take 4 days, then they don't have enough time left in the week to do it again. That would suggest it's only meaningful to do Contact a Mzali Figure in groups of 1, 3, or 4+, so it doesn't seem like the right answer.
