I'm kind of torn on the gay marraige issue. I would like to.see everyone be allowed to marry in a civil setting and let those church's that welcome gay weddings have them but leave the majority of church's that believe gay marriage is wrong alone.

Gay's 14th admendment rights do not trump Christian's and Orthadox Jews free excercise of religon rights. I did not include Muslims because they would meet gays with open hostilty.

So I hope that my gay brothers and sisters have joyful weddings in places that welcome
Them but do not try to impose on those who do not welcome them.

Up thread some poster woundered how this ruling might be used as a blugon, simply by the more militant members of the gay community. Suing church's that refuse to hold gay weddings for discrimination and trying to get church's 501c3 tax status revoked.

I'm happy for those who now can be married. My aunt and her long time partner now can be married and recite every all the legal rights that they so richly deserve.

I understand why The Campaign staff does not want item crafting feats but I disagree with the premise. Casters should be allowed to have crafting feat but should not be allowed to craft custom items as the pricing system for magic items is very broken. Casters that take item creation feats should simply be allowed to craft those items that they have taken feats for for the crafted cost of the item.

I can already hear people crying that will break the WBL guide line.
The WBL Guide line is broke as it does not in any way match the price of Staffs rods and most Wounderous items.

I am fine with the current system but do not like it for many reasons.
why would any arcane casters let another caster make his esoteric tools.
most arcane casters are raving paranoiacs to begin with. Arcane casters all think they are better than all of their peers so why would they trust an inferior to craft their tools. The crafting rules were made for game
management by campaign staff not for actual in game reasons.

enough of my rant. I think that crafting should be allowed but that ship has all ready sailed.

Mark, could you talk to the design team about changing wands. Right now you can only buy wands with 50 charges. No metamagicing wands. I think that wands should be able to be crafted or bought with any amount of charges the buyer wants and that wands should be capable of incorporating metamagic end spells. I still think there should be a max of 50 charges.

I have an idea for a new type of magic item a metamagic ring that can be placed on a wand or staff that imparts its conained metamagic feat on the magic cast from the wand or staff. 3x per day.

Recently the team came out with a very cool item for pets a collar that does animal growth 1x per day for 14000 gp I was woundering how much a collar that does the same for strong jaw.

Do you think it would be unbalancing o make an item for hunters that would give them a 5 level boost for thier animal aspect ability for 10k gp like the bane baldrick for inquisitors?

Hi Mark, my question / comment is on staffs. I would like to know from a designers standpoint why the designers took staffs almost out of pathfinder. With the WBL rules almost 1/2 of the staffs that are published will never see use in Pathfinder because they are too expensive.

Staffs are the most iconic item related to arcane spell casters and they have been Completely taken out of PFS and most of Pathfinder due to cost. No crafting equals no staffs. Why would arcane spell casters who are paranoid by nature trust another caster to build his or her tools?

From my experience in gaming 35 years I have found no problem with low level casters having wands and staffs. In the system that I played in for most of my gaming { Arduin] Wizards were able to build staffs with a good roll at el 1 but most had them by el 3 staffs held 10 charges and could be overchargerd as the Arduin system used mana instead of metamagic feats to cause spells to do more damage increase range etc.

I see no reason why arcane caster could not get a bonus feat at el 1 to craft wands limt 3 charges at 1st level scaling from there and staffs at level 5 and allow staffs to have metamagic feats applied to them.

The only problem I see with what I have outlined for staffs is the 15 minute day that seems to be implemented by the ap designers.

Could I get your feedback on what I have written. By no means is some of what I have written directed at you Mark they are just my general observations on how staffs and wands are implemented in pathfinder.

I hope you and the the rest of the Pazio staff are having a good day.
BTW I just picked up ACG Origins. So I am defiantly buying all of the Pazio goodies as they are released.
