I've been playing a magical girl in PFS for years now - she's level 10 and is a Skald/Paladin. When her theme song begins to play, her gaudy, pink-and-gold wayfinder transforms into the mighty composite songbow - a glamered longbow strung with six bowstrings she can play like a harp even while firing heart-tipped love arrows. Meanwhile, the mild-mannered "Pretty Idol Girl Vanessa" transforms into the fabulous Magical Princess Warrior Vanessa, with the power of the Ruby Princess Jewel and the Power of Friendship. And by "friendship" I mean "party-wide Amplified Rage feat" and "Raging Song."

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some magic item (perhaps a ring) that could speed things up for the character.

I'm waiting for the player to show up at the table with a phone set to play the "Sailor Moon transformation" music when his PC switches personae.

Darling, we haven't even waited for Vigilante to make that a reality...

My first time playing the Dalsine Affair, the GM prepped high tier...and a table of level 3s and level 4s got seated. It was still legal to play up back then. The GM didn't know how lethal that last encounter was...and none of us had read the Advanced Players Guide.

I/we won, and only because I was lucky-dumb and ran up the staircase in the final encounter. I wasn't the poor wizard who ended up a 5' step away from a level 6 Magus hiding in Invisibiliy when initiative was rolled. That was the Level 4 Wizard.

Only thing that saved our ass was the Bard spamming Hideous Laughter...which bought me time to run down the stairs and be the flanking buddy attack on said Hideously Laughing Magus for the Rogue, but everyone in that group was at Pucker Factor 13.

I was playing my unstoppable Magical Girl paladin/skald for the encounter, so even though I could tell something was up with this person standing at the top of the stairs, I just marched right up there thinking 'give me your best shot.' The critical hit from invisibility that followed would have slain any other member of the party outright. That fight is brutal.

FOr some reason I picture an inquisitor of Shelyn as sailor moon.

This is my paladin/skald of Shelyn. She goes a little bit like... this.

"By the bonds of friendship, I summon the power of the Ruby Magical Princess Amulet! Armored by the beauty within, I am... Magical Princess Warrior Vanessa! (Activates raging song and sheds the glamer disguising her beautiful weapons and armor.)

"The ugliness of your soul shows through! In the name of the Eternal Rose, the darkness in your heart shall be purged!" (Smite Evil Ugliness in the name of the goddess!)

"On the wings of the Composite Songbow, the melody of our friendship shall pierce through the darkest shade!" (Playing her multi-stringed longbow like a harp.)

...the venture captain asks you to go find him coffee.

Sheila Heidmarch just asked us to carry some boxes with golems in them for her. Whew! I was really worried we'd have to do something dangerous today. Dodged that bullet.
