I'll poke Ka'elen and Na'ilath.

I also just remembered that I picked up assurance in medicine on Ma'elo.

Ma'elo solemnly nods in agreement.

I'm merely not as good as him. And, as a rogue, I'm really good at stepping on toes. I'll go ahead and do it then.

Ma'elo turns to Eladithas, "I can assist you if you wish."

"Oh, I'm sorry," Ma'elo apologises. "I was so caught up chastising my friend. I'm happy that was sorted."

"Yes, to Rockfish."

Once they are out of the garrison, Ma'elo waves dismissively at Ka'elen as he takes out the absconded book, "You certainly surprised me, brother. And, blurting out that name was ill advised. But, I'm impressed, normally you just wall flower. So, considering, good for you. Now, let's see what secret message this holds."

Ma'elo smoothly moves forward and takes the papers and, sneakily the book, as he looks back to Beezhul. "I have told you many times," he says seriously. "These are important papers that cannot be lost. I will hold on to them from now on." He then turns to leave, "Come, the day is nearing end and there is a curfew."

Ma'elo was about to step forward, seeing Beezhul's panic stops as, to his surprise, Ka'elen steps forward. Surprise is clear on his face.

Ma'elo raises an eyebrow in amused curiosity. He then placed a hand on the kholo's shoulder, "Yes, we should follow." Without waiting for the others to weigh in, Ma'elo follows the woman.

"Sure," Ma'elo shrugs absently as he watches after the woman.

Ma'elo will go for the sense motive

"I think it us a bad idea, but us just standing around here might be worse. Let's just find the person."

For the sake of moving forward let's just go.

I make a differentiation between metagame motivations and in-character motivations.

We are currently at the garrison. Ma'elo is expressing doubt because walking around as a 6 person group of outsiders will attract attention.

"The six of us wandering around here? This does not seem like a good idea," Ma'elo says to the group.

Ma'elo strokes his chin, "It might be best for him to stay here, hidden. We can come back when the way is ready."

"I CAN CONFIRM THERE ARE ART PIECES!" Ma'elo shouts from across the warehouse.

Ma'elo looks up for a moment at Ka'elen's words. "Yes, maybe. I'll check it out in a few minutes. I'm not finding much in these crates," he says and then continues his searching.

Ma'elo starts to run for the final combatant, but stopped when he witnesses his brother's 'fatal flair'. With a smirk he nods to no one on particular and begins searching the warehouse.

Ma'elo attempts to parry the rapier thrusts. He succeeds on the first one but, in doing so he leaves himself open to the second. With a grunt, he leans into the thrust slightly to try and trap the rapier in his body for the split second he needed to use it as an opening, thrusting with his daggers.

For me, these pbp are so long term that they inevitably conflict with life occurrences and even mental health dips. I, personally, don't have any major frustration or anything.

I designated on my last turn that I would Nimble Dodge against the first attack, which would have caused the attack of the enemy to miss.

Ma'elo bends backward to dodge the elf's attacks. The shadow daggers dissipate as he uses his hands to enact a full flip backward, only to have them recoalesce in his hands once more when he fights himself.

Trying to use the unorthodox tactic as a surprise, he lashes it with the shadow blades one more.

Shadows begin flowing down Ma'elo's arms like a thick fog. He rushes around the crates to the right. As he rushes, the shadows flow into his hands and congeal into the form of daggers. He quickly attempts to slice the shortbow wielder.

According to the initiatives, Ma'elo got a 25, and the enemy got a 24. Do you want me to go? Or just wait for after? I'm fine either way.

Ma'elo carefully and slowly attempts to open the door in the alley, clearly trying to be quiet. "It's locked, " he whispers as he grabs some tools from a pocket. ",Let us see if I can..."

Ma'elo nods to Beezhul, "I do prefer doors other than the front. Though, I think, with our numbers, we could aim for all three."

Ma'elo takes the paper, bows slightly to the man, and joins Beezhul.

Ma'elo's eyes dart around frantically as he fights to maintain composure. "Mr. Themolin, there is no need to draw attention." He then raises his hands in between them placatively, "I assure you Mr. Themolin, you have misunderstood me greatly. This is not my first language. Please allow me to clarify, there is an opportunity for you and our boat. Is that the right way to say it?" Ma'elo leans forward, reaching out his hands onto Themolin's desk to accentuate his point, "We are not forcing you. But surely, you'd be safer."

"We are with Karela, the boat for your escape." Ma'elo whispers back. He does not look around, but stands facing Themolin, maintaining a relaxed posture.

Ma'elo steps forward meekly, "Uhm, excuse me. I'm sorry to interrupt, and I won't need to interrupt long if you can direct us to a Themolin? I was told that our situation was being moved to Themolin."

Ma'elo gives a disapproving look, but says nothing.

Ma'elo rubs his chin, "Hmm, if that is a disease, treatment will require several hours attentive work. One or two of us would have to stay behind to do that as the others continue."

Medicine: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

Ma'elo looks over the child and shakes his head. "I do not know her illness."

Ma'elo points at the kholo sternly, "As I said before, it is either all of the brothers, or none of them! We are a package deal!" He then stands proudly by his brothers to accentuate his point.

"I support Ka's idea."

If we overnight in the sewers, we won't have to deal with the 2 hr travel from the cove. Or, could we just say that we wake up in the morning before the bell and travel such that we arrive soon after it rings?

Ma'elo nods approvingly, "This is good." He then gestures to the beach, "This would likely be less smelly than the sewers, though a fire would be inadvisable."

"The path to the cove is going to look the same regardless of day or night. So, familiarizing ourselves would be a good use of our time. Plus, I've seen some spellcasters utilize magic light, so maybe one of ours has the ability to do that."

Ma'elo nods, "Can we get to the Cove from the sewers?"

Ma'elo takes the paper s and looks at them.

Ma'elo sighs, "Your uncle has been asking about slippers."

"I know that this place sinks, but we need to find Flitch as soon as possible."

"I am thinking this says that Flitch is in the sewers."

Ma'elo places an index finger to his lips in response to Beezhul as he moves.

Ma'elo begins making headway and then hears the pop from Ka'elen. He shrugs and then follows through the window.

His eyes are drawn to the graffiti. "There might be message here."
