Male Drow noble Ranger 6

Raven, may I email you my background? Just so that you can correct it, because, being unfamiliar with the setting, I used very much fantasy in writing it and I'm afraid I might have written some absurdity or non-sense.

Male Drow noble Ranger 6

I'm going with child n° 2 as sire, if nobody objects. Probably my father.

Male Drow noble Ranger 6

I'm having serious problems in the choosing of the animal companion. Since you said I also had surface training, I was looking for an animal that would adapt to live either in the underground or in the surface.
I saw the dire bat, but was also interested in a dinosaur. I thought of the possibility of discovering some ancient cave where evolution stopped (quite like "Journey to the center of the earth") and befriending a new-born tyrannosaurus.
But I'd like to hear the opinion of the GM before actually write it down in the character's sheet. Which one do you have less problem dealing with? Or should I just not think too much, and take a traditional wolf?

To the other players, could you please post which child you chose to be born to? This way, if some of us chose the same, we could organize better and avoid confusions.

(2) Lolth is the goddess of pretty much all underground drow (those above ground worship a male evil drow god. More on this later.

Ok, I knew Lolth was the Goddess of drow, I'm just not so informed about her story, or the disappearance Raven mentioned. I had just a quick look at the Underdark manual, haven't read it carefully.

(3) I suppose the GM mean max hp 1st level, then subsequent hp are half hit die +1

That's what I supposed too, but wasn't sure at all. Thanks for explanation.

I think I'll play a ranger, in the end. It's a class I've never tried, and it intrigues me.

I'm interested as well: I haven't played D&D for quite some time, recently discovered of Pathfinder and grew fond of it; I was looking out on the web to start playing again when I had a look here.

Probably I'll pick up a sorcerer, but I can't exclude the possibility of ranger or rogue.

Just some questions: (1) "Stat array 18, 16, 14, 13 12, 10": do these stats already count the +1 stat increment of level 4?
(2) "The setting is sometime before Lolth's disappearance in the forgotten realms": is it too much of a problem if I've never played in FR and don't know very well the setting?
(3) "Hp max level then half plus 1": I didn't understand this, can you re-explain what you mean?
