So, I am looking at trying to make an occultist and have been bouncing around a couple ideas. One that I think sounds really neat is to make a Psychodermist that uses bone to make a weapon out of (I was thinking a scorpion whip made out of a spine or something) using the bone special material. Now, the only major problem I am seeing is that in Trappings of the Warrior, it lists the need for shield and weapon implements. I am curious other people's thoughts on making a weapon as a bone implement for necromancy, and a shield out of scales for abjuration. It sounds super cool to me, but I am not sure if the weapon implement means that it has to be a weapon specific implement, or just an implement that happens to be a weapon. And if it is specifically restricted transmutation or not. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Hey, so I have been on the struggle bus for at least 12 hours trying to figure out the best way to make a void elemental ascetic, which I am on the edge of giving up on. But it has brought a question to mind, and I was hoping someone here might know more about it than I do. Looking at the Elemental Flurry, it says it works as the base monks FoB. In the base monk FoB, the monks BAB for his attacks was equal to his monk levels. Does the same rule apply to the Kineticist BAB? Does it count as the kineticist level instead of the 3/4 BAB? And Since I am asking questions, does the Elemental Ascetic also get the extra attacks at 8th and 11th level? Thanks for any thoughts you all have
Hey guys. I am trying to get planar focus on a character that is a follower of the Green Man, so I thought using the Plant Master hunter archetype would be a really cool way to get a thematic animal companion. My question though, is whether plant focus would count as animal focus for the purposes of planar focus. I don't see any rules that say it does, but it does replace animal focus and is functionally the same. I guess what I am asking is for some good news that I don't really expect, so can plant focus work to qualify for planar focus? Thanks.
Hey everyone! I am going to try my luck out here, since what little luck I have had with asking around has run out. I am looking to rebuild my Pathfinder Society group, now that 3/5 of the other players have run away. As far as the group goes, we are really chill and are around to have fun. We have a new-ish player, someone who is really familiar with Pathfinder, and someone who is familiar with tabletop in general. Right now we are playing around 4ish, but plan on makeing new characters soon just to try something else out. If you are new to pathfinder, we are a good group to get in with. We are relaxed and around just for some weekend fun. We have met up at the Gaming Guild on Lynch for a while, mostly on Sundays since that day tends to work best for most of us. If you would be interested, let me know and we can figure out a time for us to play. Cheers all!
Hey guys, I am having a bit of a confusing time here. I am wanting to make a Plant Master hunter who hangs out with a Sniper Cactus, but I am having a very hard time figuring out how to rule some stuff. I am looking for ways to buff the little prickly green guys hit and such, specifically with his ranged thorn attack. I am running into a little bit of a problem with a lack of information making for a really confusing situation. I have been talking to my brother (who GMs quite a bit) about it, and we seem to be at an impasse where he is saying that the thorn attack is not a natural attack and is instead a special attack similar to the spikes of a manticore, and so magic fang or an amulet of mighty fist won't apply. I am reading it as thorn being a ranged natural attack, similar to the ranged attack animated objects or that Serpentfolk (with Venomspray) can get, and so the natural attack portion of magic fang would apply to the thorn. Does anyone here that knows more than the two of us have any insight on this? We are both pretty sure of our stances, and I am hoping that an outside opinion can weigh in and give their two-cents, maybe breaking the tie.
Hey everyone! I have a character who uses a comical number of firearms at all times, and if varying types. I am looking to add the buckler gun to his list of firearms, but I have some questions about it that I haven't seen answers to. 1) if I am not actively wanting to use the gun, does it count as a buckler and provide the shield bonus? 2) If I am wanting to 'equip' the gun part of the buckler gun, would it just be a draw action? 3) If I aim to enhance the buckler gun, would it be enhancing the buckler portion, the gun portion, or both? 4) And a sort of rider on the last question, would the allying enchantment work on It while it is on his arm? Thanks for helping!
Hello Everyone! I live just outside of Evansville, IN and am interested in playing society, but I am having the hardest time finding a game. I have been looking for a while, hoping that a game may pop up, but I haven't found one. The last time I played PFS was during GenCon, which I played almost religiously. Does anyone know if there are games running down here? Cheers |
