Lync had been about to bluff that Ulisha was dead, but catches himself at the last moment, quickly nodding at Yevgheni's and Flaith's words...

Lync just shrugs, looking to his companions...

Lync nods in agreement with Yevgheni and starts discreetly asking around about the Vox dude...

As he thinks she's coming around, with a wry grin, he says, "You country elves sure do need a lot of care..."

It was my fault...when Selfi died, I went back to double-check my actions just to make sure and found out that not only did I forget Lync's sneak attack bonus, I also overlooked my Masterwork bow bonus...

Thanks GM for retconning...and sorry for my sloppy accounting, it won't happen again...

Seeing as talking is accomplishing nothing, Lync risks Selfi's reproach of being a bloodthirsty city Elf as he fires his bow at the Kellid in red...

"Lync! Were you not the first to notice that the people here were bewitched! I will never understand the cruelty of my 'civilized' kin." a downcast Selfi says in bitter disappointment. Had he a face beneath those wraps he wore not fit for burial (why else would he swath it so) and a personality to match she might have taken him for a mate for she knew that she could easily overpower the man in the fire of her passion.

Lync does a double take as he hears Selfi's reproof...he has the feeling he may have known her in a previous life...

Lync will deftly slip out of the grasp of any in the crowd who attempt to grab him...

Escape Artist: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

Round 2

...and then he'll duck, dodge, and tumble as needed to work his way through the mob...

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29

Round 3

...as he gets to the fringe of the mob, he'll blend in with them and, when clear, will make his way towards the priest...

Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

Not so diplomatic, Lync listens and observes...

He whispers to his companions. "The locals appear to be...off. They seem bewildered...something strange going on here..."

Lync's in...

Seeing the antlered beast fall, Lync yells, "No! The beast was just following its fey master..."

He runs to the side of the antlered animal, kneeling by its side, and tries to stabililize it if he's not too late...

Heal: 1d19 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15

Lync tries yet another cold iron arrow at the elusive yellow target...

Lync will try to fire again at the yellow creature...

Lync will fire at the light shaped figure below the bear's head...

Lync will delay until he can figure out exactly what's going on...

"I don't think anyone stole it...that's what bothers me..."

Lync decides to try and blend in with nature while he approaches and keeps an eye out for anything hinky...

Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Lync bows to the old lady. "Thank you, ma'am, for the food as well as the information...we'll see you again soon..."

Perception: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17

As he heads out the door, he does a double-take upon noticing that the stinky bear head is missing...he waits till he's outdoors before he mentions to the others, "Strange things here...did anyone else notice the bear head that wad there when we entered was not when we left?"

Lync nods. "Birdy, one question before we go...why would we be imperiling our souls? What should we expect to find in this grove?"

Lync flips her a gold coin...

"I trust that'll cover my meals while we're in the area...and maybe a bed for a night, if needed...and perhaps some information?"

Lync looks warily at the surroundings...

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

I'll take 10 on both checks (Perception, Knowledge Local).

Lync nods to Yevgheni. "Right you are, my friend...this place reeks...and the woods that surround this place are known to be dense and haunted by shadow, fiends, and fey..."

Knowledge (Geography) Untrained: 1d20 ⇒ 7

Knowledge (Local): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

Survival: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

Lync nods. "Aye, and they value their lives more than their land...and have a fear/fascination with the undead and the occult...

"Predators are scarce in Varno though...bats, wolves, bears, cats we might run into...and less likely, snakes..."

Lync mutters, "Didn't like her any way...a liar and murderer..."

He helps gather her valuables along with the tapestry. "We got what we came for...we should leave before anyone else comes calling..."

Lync will fire at her again and then move 10' down (southwest according to the map) to the far left corner of the mausoleum...
