That is correct Ludacrits.

As an aside is your name a play on the rapper Ludacris?

Yeah it is lol.

Acutaly you get 4 First level spells a day, if you focus into a school of magic. (1 for being level 1, 2 from high Int, and 1 from spelized school of magic)

Ah ok that makes sense. And I choose the 2 opposition schools right? It's not a graph type of thing like in 2nd ed dnd? How do scrolls work? Do you only get 1 use out of them?

I forgot to mention this character is for pathfinder society if that changes anything.

New to pathfinder and I'm rolling a wizard. I want to confirm that I'm choosing spells right.

I'm an level 1 Elf Wizard with a 20 INT.

I start with all 0 level spells and 8 1st level ( int mod+ 3) spells in my spellbook. I can cast 3 0 level spells per day (being level 1) and 3 1st level spells (1 from being level 1 and 2 from having an int 20)

Do I got this right?

EDIT: Fixed the typo, it's 8 first level spells.

Thanks sir!

I seen this one elsewhere and I was thinking about trying it. Keep in mind I'm a Pathfinder noob right now.

"The playtest versions of the gunslinger, ninja, and samurai are no longer legal for play as of 8/4/11." What does playtest mean?

Isn't ninja illegal in Pathfinder society?

She seems to be interested in a straight archer ranger type of thing without a animal companion.

My girlfriend is less experienced tabletop player than I am and she's really unsure of what she wants to be. She usually plays a rogue in every 2nd ed dnd game we play and never seems to do very much, picks pockets here and there and is not very efficient in combat. I wanted to ask you experienced Pathfinder gamers about some class builds that would be easy, but fun for her to play. I was thinking Warrior at first but she said she doesn't want to be warrior. She wants to be viable in combat but doesn't want something complicated to play. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are starting Pathfinder society this Sunday.

Thanks

It says in works on ammunition but does arrows count as ammunition?

Add half your level, rounded down.

Thanks!

Might be a super dumb question but I'm new and have yet to play pathfinder. I was checking on Halfling stuff and on the Bard class bonuses for halfing in the advanced race book it says "Add +1/2 on bluff checks" What does the +1/2 mean exactly? Does it really mean like +.5 or is it something like 1 point per 2 levels?

Thanks fellas. I just I will have to rethink my bard. =D

You need a Chronicle to play it.

I read what a Chronicle is just now and I want to make sure I have this right. A Chronicle is a sheet just to show stuff from past campaigns right? You have to have one of those for every character right?

Ok so that means I can't be one for my first time playing?

Sorry I'm still new and I'm making my first Pathfinder character. I was reading the rules about races and Kitsune isn't legal (Page 7). Although in this document "http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/about/additionalResources" it says Kitsune are Legal. So could I play one or is it not a legal race to chose?

Thanks I'm checking it out now.

So I bought all these pathfinder books so I could start playing it and the group I was intending to play with sorta unintentionally disbanded. Two of them moved out of state. The other has a baby on the way so he can't play anymore. So honestly I have every book but no one to play with. A guy at work mentioned this pathfinder society thing that a local gaming stores do. I had a few questions about it.

Is it noob friendly? I've never played pathfinder or dnd 3.5. The only thing I've played was old adnd 2nd ed. Thus I'm not completely sure how most of the mechanics work yet and I am very confused about combat. I read the core book and thought I understood it but the guy at my job described the combat mechanics differently.

How should I roll my ability scores when I make my char? I'm not sure which option to use. Is it usually up to whoever is GM or is there a specific way to roll my scores universally that most groups use?

Should I wait to roll until I get to the gaming store or should I make a character ahead of time? I have some characters in mind to make but I'm not sure what a GM would let me roll and be... specially some of the unique races in the advanced race handbook.
