With just 2 days left to go, we're over 200% funded and working towards our 4th stretch goal.

There's just a few more days to join the campaign!

Our first stretch goal has been blown away, adding Voyage of the Sea Darter to the adventure. This addon brings a harrowing sea journey to Sunken Temple.

We should hit our second stretch goal soon, bringing another wing to the dungeon that includes both the Star Spawn and a fragment of Great Cthulhu itself!

We're funded now and working towards our first stretch goal -which adds a harrowing sea journey to the adventure.

Quick update on this, we're now 90% funded and will soon begin working on our first stretch goal which adds a sea voyage to the adventure!

It's a great time to get onboard if you haven't yet!

Hello,

Our latest project, the Sunken Temple, is on Kickstarter now and already 60% funded!

Sunken Temple is an adventure written for 5e, W.O.I.N., and the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. It takes place in a mysterious range of never-before-seen mountains and is suitable for use in any setting. The module is inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft, particularly The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, The Shadow Over Innsmouth, and At the Mountains of Madness.

The project includes:

  • An adventure suitable for 4-5 characters of 6th-level. The playstyle is predominately a dungeon crawl, with a horrific element appropriate to the source material.
  • The temple includes several wings, each with a different feel, assortment of baddies, and their own malevolent purpose - with additional wings ready to be unearthed through stretch goals!
  • Game stats and original artwork for several traditional Lovecraft beasties (deep one, star spawn, byahkee, night gaunt, and rat thing) and a few originals of my own devising.

Sunken Temple will be available in print, PDF, and through City of Brass.

I hope you'll give it a look today!

We opted for U.S. shipping only as this is our first foray into a printed product. If you would like to contact me directly either via Kickstarter or email (lucas@embersds.com) we can work out a way to get you a printed copy.

We're over the halfway point and have a new goal - if we fund by Friday we're going to add a second short adventure (Rats in the Street) to everyone's pledge over $1! Now's the time to jump on.

Rats in the Street is a short adventure set in the seedy streets of a large city. Local shopkeepers are being extorted by a street gang and need help. Your PCs are called in to deal with the gang, but can they keep the people safe while waging a war against the troublemakers?

Quote:
Highhouse Yroden has been cursed. Apparitions stalk the streets, gnolls lurk in the nearby wilds, and a dragon has taken interest in the town. Yet the curse runs deeper still. Nightmares plague the townsfolk’s dreams and madness grips their waking minds. If something doesn’t happen soon, Yroden will be no more.

Hello,

On Friday we launched a Kickstarter for Yrisa's Nightmare, an adventure for 2nd-level characters. In this module, your players are drawn into the cursed nightmare of a young oracle and must unravel the mystery if they are to survive.

We've got some great deals for backers. I hope you'll check out our Kickstarter page and consider supporting the project.

In project update #8 you get a chance to help us pick final artwork for one of the new monsters being created for this adventure.

Project Update #7 includes:

* Finished cover art
* New stretch goal
* Gen Con pics

Quick project update before we head out for Gen Con! Maybe I'll see some of you there.

Mike Bourke of Campaign Mastery wrote an article featuring The Book of Terniel today. In it he talks about low-level adventure design and some of the challenges faced by creators of such adventures.

If you enjoy gaming blogs you should check it out.

We broke through our first stretch goal on this project and that means we'll be adding some additional content to act 2!

The second act of The Book of Terniel find the PCs searching through a dark bog. There are many places for them to visit and now there's going to be one more.

Next up is a Player's Guide that expands on the region of Erien and its surrounds.

Thank you. We are fortunate to have such amazing artists to work with. Monica, Stephen and Martin have all done outstanding stuff for us.

I'm probably overlooking something simple but I don't see an option for posting images here. Here are a few links to some samples though.

Hello,

My name is Lucas and I'm with a new startup called Embers Design Studios. On Friday we launched our first Kickstarter for a Pathfinder compatible adventure The Book of Terniel. In this module your players will find themselves caught between four factions all seeking the book. They can choose a side or claim it as their own.

The module is for 1st-level characters and will see them through to level 3. The adventure has three acts and each act features a different playstyle.

We have a lot of great artwork already and hope to commission more as we push through some stretch goals. Our project funded successfully Sunday (3 days after launch) and our funding period ends August 31.

Please take a look at our Kickstarter page and consider becoming a backer.
