I can't remember where, but I'm pretty sure in an answer about 'why are there separate gods of stars and the sun's, it was stated that in pathfinder canon, there is a distinction: suns are stars that have portals to Creation's Forge inside, and thus are capable of bearing ensouled life in their solar systems (as it's from these solar portals that newly formed souls enter the Universe).

I always thought this was neat, as it allows both suns as nurturing and life giving, and stars as the lifeless cosmic horror that they should be.

There's also a not often touched upon question of whether or not the petioner created from your soul is really even _you_ or not. It's well known that souls are stripped of their memories before being sent to their afterlives, so it would be quite easy for people to believe the thing that gets punished is not really _them_ in any meaningful way. Evil religions might de-emphasise your soul as you, insisting that your soul is just some _thing_ that the gods will take and use, but the you that exists now will be long erased before then. Might as well party/lord over your lessers etc. in this life then.

Zon Kuthon is Lawful Evil not because of his domains (which suggest Neutral Evil more strongly), or even his church, but because the man himself is Lawful. When he was captured by the other gods after he first return from Beyond the Beyond, he _accepted their judgement_, and was willingly imprisoned for millennia, until the conditions for his release were met (the sun no longer shining on Golarion, thanks to the Earthfall). He is, in his own way, _honourable_. He has kept his deal with Nidal and the Horselords for ten thousand years, after all. He keeps bargains, and values deals and hierarchy, all Lawful traits.
