Background Information
Shalom, Mah Shlom'chem? I am Rabbi Joseph Frankenberg, the current head rabbi of the 113th street Synagogue in Maximum City. I spend the majority of my time tending to the patrons of this humble temple, guiding them with faith for our one truly great god Yahweh. I am a Professor of Theology for Maximum City University where I spread my knowledge to the students. I take special interest and care in the young Hebrews who are trying to become Rabbis themselves, and I do what I can to help these young men turn into true Rabbis. I help to teach these fine young pupils the long and rich history of our people and more importantly, an in-depth and keen study of the teachings of the Torah. I am quite thankful for the generosity and shear kindness of the Temple goers, for they offer up rooms in their houses for me to stay. I cannot express how grateful i am to these loving people. I am especially thankful to the Rothberg family, Abraham and his lovely bride Liora. It is thanks to their hospitality that I could live in the same space for the past four months, in their lovely humble abode in the same ghetto as our Synagogue. I am especially thankful due to me status as an immigrant to this great country. I was born and raised in Israel, where i was raised in a loving community of like minded people. The beautiful lands with millennia of history was always of interest to me and probably influenced my decision to become a man of faith. But while the beaches along the Mediterranean Sea are picturesque, There is danger ever-present for my people. I served in the military as did every able body citizen when we became 18 years of age, yet I stuck with the military past my two year commitment and became a decorated officer. I retired after 10 years of service to take up my calling in the faith. I studied in the united states to get my PhD, and was lucky enough to get a position as a Professor at Maximum City University when the last theology Professor retired. I am happy to be here in your lovely Country, and especially in this wonderfully interesting City. It has been nice meeting you and you will always have a warm welcome and safe keeping in our Temple.
