About Loriel Gilded Leaf
As a young elf Loriel Gilded Leaf was tutored in the traditional elven arts of archery, swordplay and wizardry. Showing talent in all three areas, Loriel quickly became a favorite of his tutors. Although skilled in all areas, Loriel favored archery and that is where he truly excelled.
As he approached his 110 year, the elven age of maturity, his tutors noticed a growing restlessness in Loriel. His wizardry tutor, knowing Loriel's studies would not be finished by that time, extracted a promise from the young elf that he would not go running off on his 110th nameday and leave his studies unfinished. True to his word, Loriel stayed and continued his studies. It was not untill his 111th nameday that Loriel left his homeland to explore the surrounding lands. Unfortunately, his wizardy studies are still not quite completed, but Loriel continues to study on his own.
After several years of wandering, Loriel has recently settled in the Bronzewood Lodge near Daggerford. He has been working as a guide and hunter and planned to stay at the lodge long enough to complete his training in wizardy. Loriel made a recent trip to Daggerford to visit the sage Delfen Ondabarl for some instruction on the finer points of spellcrafting. He was accompanied by Morra Cobey, a friend from the Bronzewood Lodge, who was upset to find her twin brother Kessel had left town without leaving any message, apparently to investigate a nearby cairn. With pressing business back at the lodge, but concerned for her brother's safety, Morra convices Loriel to find her brother and make sure he is okay.
