In this example from Ultimate Wilderness, do the players know the cost their aiming for? Quote:
My specific example follows below. Would the players know they need 8 points to find the Pyramid? Quote:
I ask because it sounds like it would just be smarter to save up their points rather than waste half of them in the hope of finding something. Are they just supposed to say "Ok, we're going to try to find the Pyramid with 6 points." and then I, as the GM, know they don't have enough so I just give them the Altar for 3 points? Furthermore, what if they have enough points to find them all? Say they saved up 15 points before they set out to explore. Would they find all 3 in one day? Lastly, this is probably obvious but I just want to make sure; Are Discovery Points used to find locations permanently removed from the Point Pool?
I'm trying to wrap my head around the Eidolon STR/DEX bonus.
It's starting scores are STR 12, DEX 16, CON 13, INT 7, WIS 10, and CHA 11
Based on my math, the Eidolon should have 19 STR and 18 DEX.
What am I missing?
I'm trying to compile a list of all of the Pathfinder Hardcover, Player Companions, and Campaign Setting books. Take a look, and let me know of any that I've missed. I appreciate any help in finishing the list! Thank you! CAMPAIGN SETTING 2008 Releases

Hello fellow Pathfinders! TL;DR Buying Duergar Soldier to complete our miniature collection. It's the last one we need! My fiancee and I started collecting Pathfinder minis 2 years ago. I had sold my old D&D collection a few years back to make ends meet. (Awful decision!) We were at our local gaming store, and picked up a box of Deadly Foes. We were instantly hooked, and went back into the store to buy more. Lol! Since then, she's been on a mission to collect all of them. Even occasionally pestering Paizo directly trying to find some of the rarer ones. At one point, she called virtually every gaming store in the U.S. (I am not joking about this. She lost count at 180+ stores but kept calling state by state looking for a Gargantuan Red Dragon.) After 2+ years, we've caught up, and the collection is ALMOST complete...
Despite all out best efforts, we're still missing the GenCon 2015 Duergar Soldier promo. Typically when Troll & Toad had them, they went for about $14 or so. Since I understand it's rare, and I started collecting so late, I'm willing to pay $50 for this miniature. If anyone has even just one to part with, I'd appreciate it! I really just want her to move on past this telemarketer's phase! Ha! Thanks!
Two questions about Psychic Duels. 1. Would a Mesmerist's Trick pool count for extra MP like Ki, or Panache would? "When in a Mindscape, both participants' bodies become unresponsive. A creature adjacent to the body of a combatant can attempt to shake that creature out of its torpor as a standard action. Doing so is a melee touch attack that deals no damage but allows the combatant to attempt a new saving throw against the effect that started the psychic duel. If the check is successful, the mind of the roused creature returns to its body and the duel ends. A creature in a psychic duel can attempt no more than one additional save per round in this way." From this reading, I have another question. 2. Does an attack against that creature give them another Save to break free? Or do they just automatically break free? My thinking is that shaking them to wake them up MIGHT wake them up (with a will save), but an attack might just snap them out automatically. |
