Jackin smiled as Emiline returned with his request. He licked his lips as he set a silver piece in front of her. "Just in case I may need a bit more" he said with a smile. As he took a big drink of the milk, his eyes widened in surprise from the difference in the milk, but he found it an interesting taste. The bread and honey made his taste buds come alive, and meeting the eyes of the lady elf sent a surge of energy through him as somehow he knew there was a connection between her and his quest. He nodded to her with a smile in return. Curious as to what she and her companions were here for, he hopped off the stool and began walking over to her table. He paused after just a step though as he felt something in his pouch that was odd. He reached in, and with a frown, placed the fork he found there back up on the counter by his plate before continuing over. "Hello there! I'm Jackin. What are you all doing here in town?"
A smile came to Jackin's face as Emiline spoke to him and he set his pack on the floor beside him as he hopped up on a stool. "No, no." he says with a bit of excitement in his voice. "No cutlery for me. I'm not one of those ragabash types who pick up every little thing they see. All I'm here for right now is some cool milk and a bite of bread with honey and cheese if you have it?" As he spoke, his fingers idly played with a small glass that someone had left there .
Sorry, family just left this morning, so just now getting to post...
As he approached the door, he shifted his gear off of his shoulder and holding it to where it would be easy to set down, pushed his was through the door. Stepping to the side so he would not block the doorway,he let his eyes adjust to the dimmer light inside and took it all in.
Arknight here...... I'll have the stats up a bit later, but for now I present the background for Jevrok, Minotaur Ranger, for consideration.... Jevrok's Background: Jevrok was born and orphaned in the Minotaur Quarter of Triolos. As he was growing on the streets, he was a bit of what humans would call a ’runt’. As a result, he was always being bullied and pushed around. He may have wound up dead and rotting in the streets if he hadn't been conscripted to a ’merchant' vessel as a laborer. Not expected to survive, Jevrok actually seemed to thrive on the sea air and the shipboard life, rapidly becoming an indispensable set of muscles on board. He also took the time to learn from the ship's quartermaster (a true northlander) all he could about the oceans, the weather and anything else nature related. Part of the lessons he learned were about northern Runes and he even managed to understand the mysteries of two of them that came in very useful for surviving in the wilderness. Soon, after proving his skill, he began acting more as a guide and scout when the crew was ashore.
The majority of Jevrok's experience in battles took place in conflicts with the Mharoti.
Arknight here... Ok, after a great bit of having to read about the archetype and other paladin options, I present Gerrosk, Half-orc Paladin (Warrior of the Holy Light) of Sarenrae. I still need to get mundane gear, and with a final GP total of 0, he'll be relying on the generosity of others for his housing, etc. :) |
