Ow, Ow, Ow, OwLlathander says after removing each and every quill. Sure it hurt, but i provided a safe path for all the companions.

Brothers, Friends. I think we are forgetting the most important thing. Who brought the goat here and who tied him up.Upon looking at the quills in his body that no longer linger with pain thanks to the divine servant of Sarenrae. More importantly which way did they take to avoid that thicket. He continues to remove the cacti quills and turns around Gil, care to help me out with some of these hard to reach places?

Is that a child? No one mentioned a child missing

Llathander will go towards the sounds ofthe child. If it is through the cacti He will have his falcata out but will rarely use it. Instead he will hunker down raise the buckler in front of his face and rush through the cactus field.

Llathander breaks from the group and circles a large rock. When he finds nothing he scratches his head in bewilderment.

When Llathander sees everyone going and then with the addition of Abbas' call. Lathander looks at his companion well looks like this needs to be continued again. Until next time he says with a wink and runs off to join his companions.

Llathander will make his way over to the mercenaries again taht he built something akin to a repoirrte with, speaking specifically with the cure female again he will make small talk and over the course of the conversation he will ask So this Dashki, can he be trusted? How did he become this "Gnoll Expert everyone claims him to be. DId he hunt them or live with them, because at this point I am inclined to believe both. Also, he said a pugwampi was at fault for the death of the fortune teller. Have you ever heard of a pugwampi? What is it?

Diplomacy if needed 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Still here just don't want to interfere with Abbass connection with Dashki. So I will play the dour faced wallflower

Durant, it wasn't bad just remember it is generally speaking relatively simple to determine origin of fire because of the rather predictable nature of fire. From it's origin point there is usually a telltale arrow telling you where it started.

Llathander sits on a nearby crate and begins ribbon out his shoulders. Seems the strain of lifting a barrel full of water had taken a toll on him. He let's out a sigh and says after having talked to the mercenaries I believe we have two possibilities. One it was Dashki trying to eliminates perceived competition with the Princess or two, the old man was just clumsy

Yes the majority of issues has been resolved and btw if you need help with details I have been a firefighter for about 5 years.

sorry for being absent over the weekend had some rl issues to deal with

As Llathander is approached by his brother he was opening his mouth to offer his thoughts when Duran sees garavel and goes to seek his knowledge. Llathander shrugs it off as if to say well I am the youngest of the brothers.

He then sees Gil getting himself in trouble yet again and goes to bodyguard mode, this little guy is a handful. he lays his familiar grip on his shoulder worry not trickster. No harm will come to you this day.

He also turns to the majordomo and says, For one to call himself an expert they must spend an incredible amount of time with these creatures. Surely based upon his reputation and your description how do we know he isn't in league with the and took the opportunity to burn down the Merchant Princesses advisors wagon?

Upon seeing Durant converse with the one no one is trusting he will turn and say Thank you for your time. I am Llathander. Perhaps we could make time to continue this conversation later. he adds a wink towards the scarred attractive one as a exclamation point.

Walking towards the Dashki he thinks 'brother be careful with this one. Anyone who has this much enmity is dangerous.'

Detect evil on Dashki

Who is this Dashki and where is he? Was this Elioas a clumsy person or could it have been foul play?. He turns to go towards Dashki after he is pointed out but quickly turns back, By the way ma'am I didn't catch your name?

You men, Yes, you who moved the wagon. What can you tell me of the fortune teller? Llathander asks in a somewhat authortative tone. No, no need to look for the princess. She tasked me and my friends the duty of looking into the stargazers death. Now did he have any friends here? Enemies? Dangerous Hobbies?

if i can use the previous roll for the gather info or if you want an intimidate for the method of questioning here you go

Diplomacy/Gather Information1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Intimidate/Influence Attitudes1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

After the meeting is finished in the tent Llathander will go and small talk with everyone there at the camp and find out more about Eloias. I am willing through the small talk if you wish but that will have to wait about 15 hours when I get home.

Diplomacy to Gather Information 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

Llathander finishes tending what wounds he can at Durant's approach he will nod. Stand up and wait for the rest of the companions outside the tent.

After the fire extinguished, the animals calmed, Llathander will make his way to Abbas and assist with the healing. He reaches into a pack he's been carrying and takes out some plantsand bandages. He goes to help and speaks Sarenrae's light upon you.

Heal 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

I too would like Badi to return if that means he takes a backseat role for RL so be it. 8 weeks isnt that long.

If I can attempt to rope some of the animals I will if not I will try to grapple them.

Ranged touch for lasso 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
or grapple 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

If Barham would help that might be enough. also do we have hero points? If so I'll use one to lift the barrel of water.

with llathander, durant and garavel that is at least an 18. Would that be enough to lift the water barrell or can we try again?

first roll was a strength check to lift the barrel

To garavel, My apologizes but it needs to be done. I will attempt to make amends later

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

Llathander will rush to the Barrell and position himself to lift as he rushes by some others standin around he takes up an air of authority rarely seen in him and says you men there pull the wagon away so that it doesn't catch anything else on fire. And do it quickly

Diplomacy 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

Despite Llathander's highly trained sword arm and honed instincts it brings a smile to his face when he doesn't have to shed blood this day.

When Gil comes to him and shows him the blue hair heresponds, Yeah, I see it. Do you want me to pluck it for you?

A worried look is given to Bahram as he gleefully assist in the grave duty of beheading. He looks back at the lifeless bodies and says I am sorry your light has been extinguished but it was so other light may shine.

To garavel he states I will do as commanded.

Llathander will walk over to each of the ghouls offer a moment of silence and then behead each gnoll. After te decapitation of each he will clean his blade with the sand.

Llathander will continue te spin an push Off with his foot and move to g2? At the point when he is able to strike the gnoll he will jump into the air and bring the bloodied Falcata down like a setting sun, aiming for the crook between the neck and shoulder. Landing in the dust cloud he just created.

Falcata attack1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 = 7
damage 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Round 2 actions:

Spinning on his heel, Badi sents another dart of magical acid flying towards the gnoll attacking Durant. However, Badi doesn't take up the song his brothers were singing, much preferring to concentrate on his magics than sing diddys.

Ranged Touch Attack:1d20-2
Acid Damage:1d6+1

Isn't that second one a crit threat?

oh, The gnoll sings hey yeah, the gnoll sings hey yo
The gnoll sings, and the gnoll sings and has his guts laying in the sand.
Like that brother?

Switching the Falcata to his free arm. Llathander will spin around and deliver a strike to the lower leg of the gnoll that is threateningAbbas and he.
Falcata attack1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Crit confirm 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Damage 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Crit damage 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (6, 7) + 4 = 17

AC 18
HP 11/11

On my turn Llathander Will move to G -1 and throw a the spear at the closest gnoll.
Thrown Spear
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Damage1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

AC 18, HP 11

When it is needed. Initiative 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

When the non sneakys approach Llathander they will notice that his knuckles are turning white from griping the spear, ready to launch it at the sock puppet gnoll. As Durant approaches he mouths the word, now?

I would be fine doing an even split in xp. Llathander just doesn't want more travelers to come to the same fate.

We show them the same kindness they showed the travelers. It is time to make them pay for extinquishing the Dawnflowers light. Would you like me to draw them closer so that you and Bahram can ambush the last two as they rush me?

Move 10 closer, so I am about 40 ft from them

Llathander will try and creep a little closer so that the gnolls are withing range of spear throw perhaps 10 ft or so.

How many of them are there?

if Perception is needed1d20 ⇒ 11

LLathander, simply nods as he is not accustomed to speaking when the threat of violence looms so near. He draws his scarf around his face so that only his eyes peer out. This is for a two fold protection. One, from the sun and two, from that foul smell. His spear is ready to be launched at a moments notice.

Llathander raises an eyebrow and quips You do know how to use that thing right?

Llathander draws his Falcata and places it in the hand with the buckler. He then takes out a spear and hoists it has if ready to throw at a moments notice.

perception1d20 ⇒ 14

If it is indeed smoke Llathander will lead the way towards the smoke.

Durant vaults from his camel and begins pacing out the space for the large tent.

"So master Garavel, why does the princess care about a dead temple and a lost city? Surely she cannot be interested in finding Haleen?"

Durant despenses with the hammer and pounds the smaller guide pegs into the soft sand with his fist or open palm.

As Llathander he cocks his head to the side listening intently as he goes about his tasks alon with the others.

When he speaks he does not look up but merely stares at the sand beneath the camel, somehow he finds it easier to talk about her when not directly addressing someone.
Haleen was nice to me. That was all that mattered. I was starving in the streets of Katapesh when she and Badi found me. She took me in and taught me how to survive and more importantly she always taught me to persue my dreams. Unfortunately I can not offer any more information than they have already given because I was the last to come into the family and the first to leave for my training with the Dawnfather and my training in Rondelero.

And in the years of service to our employeer have you found her to be fair, Master Garavel?

Meh, I always seem to do my best work when I am under pressure. That's how it was when I was working on my masters in cultural anthropology.

Means to an end. I used to work for the fire department got hurt and can't do that anymore so doing some construction while I go through nursing school. Just one more year of hell.

Funny how torture is bearable when you know it's gonna end.

I have always felt strength in standing up for something though recently it seems to be more primal than ever before.
