Silver Crusade

Im not entirely sure how I feel about the change in how archetypes work. I think its better then starfinders (Which I VEHEMENTLY HATED) but there's still something about having things that specialise classes instead of just in general that I liked. I think I could have liked it better if they kept the old archetypes but these dedication feats are "Orders/guilds" Which give special abilities like the iron madens, maybe a sort of theives guild and bounty hunter set of feats as well.

"At 20th level, you can pick Spell Combination, which lets you combine two spells into one terrifying attack that you can unleash on one unfortunate foe."

Can that be used with the same spell (so say two fireballs) cause if thats the case then im rather fond of the idea of combining 2 9th level magic missiles for the full round and inventing the magic minigun. :)

"lay on hands, a single-action healing spell that not only heals the target but also raises their AC for a round to help prevent future damage." Oh hi Uther. :D

Although on another note a bit sad that they kept them worshiping deities since it's more difficult to find the line between whats technically "a paladin" ands whats "a cleric". I would have liked it if they gained their power from something else such as some powerful planar artifact such as maybe "The well of goody-twoshoes (and it's cousins, chaotic goody, chaotic baddy, and evil two shoes) or hell maybe even from their own pure devotion to their "cause" (LG, CE, etc) although im not too bothered on that (same with alignment, having paladins of any alignment just sort of makes the distinction even more blurred if it isn't at least specific like that) besides that's what homebrew lore is for.

GM: You find a cloaked figure on the side of the road with a horse next to him and a scroll case.

Cloaked figure: "Greetings! what if I told you I have a pouch of gold if you do this little thing for me."

Player: "Sure. Is it a bad ass quest?"

Cloaked figure: "Just get on this horse and take this case."

Player: I do what he says for the gold!

GM: After getting on the horse you open the case and you find things like "COLLECT 10 BOAR RIBS" and "KILL 6 GOBLINS & WARCHEIF SNICHELS".

Player: What? These are just lame quest. I get off the horse and go.

GM: Who said those quest are for you? Oh and you find your stuck on the horse and you also notice there's a Yellow exclamation mark above your head. The cloaked figures leans into your ear and says "Welcome to the machine" with a wide grin.

Player: "OH F-"

I would probably rule in my games that you can use serums in the dart gun. Cause while RAW it may be technically not possible, I like the idea that you don't need to be a mystic with cure spells in order to be a healer. Having an Ana from overwatch like medic would be pretty a cool healer. Show those mystics that are a strong, magic independent medic.

I was just wondering what everyone thought about the Exocortex for the Mechanic. I think it's certainly better than the other choices Druids and Rangers got in Pathfinder and it certainly has useful aspects in my opinion. Although I can see how it relys on the GM if you want to use its hacking aspect a lot.

I somewhat doubt a battle of Pharasma is happening on Eox for a few reasons, mainly that fact that the planet's surface is an inhospitable waste land with a thin, toxic atmosphere and very few plants clinging to life as it is. Not to mention there are a variety of terrifying creatures living there like the Ellicoths and glass serpents and this isn't the actual undead.

Although this still leaves the problem of why the hell Pharasma is worshipped there, keeping in mind it isn't necessarily the MAIN place she's worshipped unless I missed something. As she is also has centers of worship on Absalom station and apostate
