I played in my first Pathfinder scenario: First Steps: Part 1. I enjoyed it and will certainly play again. I earned 1 XP, which doesn't get me very far, but it wss good to game again and see how Pathfinder ran.

Is there a First Steps: Part 2?

My knowledge of below is from a past DragonCon I attended.

They also will be selling tickets at the game - at one time they reserved a chunk of the tickets and did not sell all in pre-registration. If you get there Thursday night like at 7pm you can wait in a line to get tickets as well (people lined up early - perhaps you can get a First Steps Part 1 or Accursed Halls game or Goblin Game done while you wait.

And DragonCon sold generic tickets that could get you into any game that didn't have regular ticket players.

Thanks, that's good to know. I'll try to head over there Thursday evening. I'm interested in a First Steps since I haven't done it before. I'd like to do the Rise of the Goblin Guild. As with all events Dragoncon, it's a question of fitting it in my schedule. That's why I hoped to preorder, but I'll see what's available. I'm not getting my chainmail in a wad over it. :)

Oh, and Shy has emailed back with suggestions to try. None of them seem to work, but I'm glad to for the help. I know there's only so much that can be done.

I'm making my first Pathfinder Society character, but never played any of the adventure paths that I assume are the basis for Society play. I have a couple of metagame questions as I'm designing the character.

1) Do I need to min/max my character to contribute in Society play? I'm interested in putting a couple of points in CHA or some other characteristic for RP purposes. Should I just not bother with that and RP the leader type with a CHA of 8? :)

2)I'm thinking of a character with a past history of a desert ranger. But in the adventure paths, what is in the desert areas that could be favored enemy other than humanoids? Are dragons or outsiders or some other desert type creature found in the adventure paths? I'm fine with the enemies not showing up every session, but I don't want to never see them either. Any suggestions?
