Lazlo watches in horror as the supposed shopkeeper dodge all the bullets and expertly begin unloading his gun against Josiah. After a heart beat he moves up and tries to grab the trigger happy shopkeeper. "Just say you're not interested you mad fragger!" WS 50 or under to Initiate Grapple: 1d100 ⇒ 72

"If you can't afford the price we will find someone who can, it shouldn't take long." Lazlo adds hoping to get a good price for the mysterious piece of contraband. Lazlo looms in the background while leving Josiah to do the majority of the talking.
Wounds: 10/10, FP: 1/1, TB: 5, Armour 2 (Arms, Legs and Chest)
Lazlo was a lot more confident that the enforcers wouldn't be showing up anytime too soon and they'd be rid of the curious orb by then. Let any repercussions fall on it's new owner and them have a few credits to spend. It had been an odd few days. He strode confidently beside Josiah hoping to demand a higher price.
Wounds: 10/10, FP: 1/1, TB: 5, Armour 2 (Arms, Legs and Chest)
Lazlo shrugs "Maybe it is drugs, wrap it back up and we head to this fence of yours. Maybe you use it by touching it." He looks down at his own hand and sniffs his fingers that had touched it. "But I'm a lot bigger, I wont go touching it again. No point both of us standing around seeing a 'place' waiting to be robbed or shanked."
Wounds: 10/10, FP: 1/1, TB: 5, Armour 2 (Arms, Legs and Chest)
He peers down at the curious looking tiny orb. "Some kind of valuable gem or do you thinking it might be just some trinket?" Lazlo pokes at it with his finger. "It's cold, you wouldn't think it would be cold being in his pocket. Maybe it's the drug he was taking, a tablet like... if it is I've not seen it's like before."
Wounds: 10/10, FP: 1/1, TB: 5, Armour 2 (Arms, Legs and Chest)
Hearing the soulless minions of orthodoxy enroute Lazlo says "You've done your best Doctor. Emperor take his soul, if only he had sought you out perhaps his life could have been spared from this truly terrible and painful disease!" Assisting Graves with any deceive checks.
Wounds: 10/10, FP: 1/1, TB: 5, Armour 2 (Arms, Legs and Chest)
Lazlo will make a show of telling people to stand back and letting the 'doctor' take care of the man. "Did anyone see him taking anything?" he asks of the crowd before leaning in with a stage whisper asking the doctor "Could it be another case of the bloodfire shakes you've been tracking Doctor." ...they could make some money from snake oil if they played this right.
Wounds: 10/10, FP: 1/1, TB: 5, Armour 2 (Arms, Legs and Chest)
Lazlo spits on the ground. "He's either dead or with Arbites coming for him after fighting those we saw. I'm not stupid enough to jump into that kind of a mess." "At least your not like they were. Best to stick together til the next settlement and if we can get some work for creds together we might get a better price but if not I'll go my own way."
Wounds: 10/10, FP: 1/1, TB: 5, Armour 2 (Arms, Legs and Chest)
"Got any business or plans down here or are you just going to keep heading downhive til you stop seeing people who recognize you?" Lazlo sat on a pile of rubble and pulled off a boot to remove the pebble inside it. "If that new Uphiver friend of yours shows up I'm not sure if I'll go looking for my money or clear out of town before the Arbites show up."
Wounds: 10/10, FP: 1/1, TB: 5, Armour 2 (Arms, Legs and Chest)
"I was told little and only paid a small amount but with full salvage of the goods of any man I took out if things went bad. I told him I'd not get involved in anything that would bring down the Arbites on me. Even if they win I'm not sticking around, strong chance we're marked for death now as is." He looks Josiah up and down "I've no idea about loot but I'm headed down hive, they have the men they wanted and hopefully the Arbites will be happy with that but I amn't inclined to take chances, what about you Uphiver?" He shakes Josiah's hand.
Wounds: 10/10, FP: 1/1, TB: 5, Armour 2 (Arms, Legs and Chest)
"What did I tell you about Arbites? Run for it!" Not waiting for any response he starts legging it. He wouldn't like to tangle with arbites at the best of times, and with only a bunch of Uphive Dandies for back up he was not sticking. He might be able to outrun the Arbites, big heavy armour and all compared to his cloak but the Cyber Mastiff was likely a different story... but he didn't have to outrun it alone just not be the first one it caught. No one knew him here, just make it Downhive in one piece and keep his mouth shut. Arbites? Even if he killed them it'd be one of the worst things he could do, who'd gang up with or hire a man who was wanted for killing Arbites... his feet slammed against the rockrette, if someone looks like they know where they are going he may well follow them.

Clarification, full on light carapace, shock mauls and shotguns Adeptus Arbites not the local planetary or hive police. If it's full on Arbites... Lazlo did warn him nothing that would bring the Arbites down on them. But even then will fight if needed to not derail the game...

Awareness, Perception 26, Under 36 for Normal Difficulty: 1d100 ⇒ 72 Lazlo snorts at Josiah's comment, clearly unconvinced by this uphiver knowing 'the darker corners', probably hadn't even seen the proper muties around here more likely than not. Little day trip round the sump and he thinks he's a tough guy. Lazlo looks around keeping an eye out for danger but if anything he seems bored by these Uphive Dandies and their little games. At least the coin seemed real enough, maybe his 'employer' might have some better paying or more useful work for him after this. But it probably would have been more eventful for him if Lazlo wasn't here.
Wounds: 10/10, FP: 1/1, TB: 5, Armour 2 (Arms, Legs and Chest)
Lil'Lazlo is a large man, more muscled than most but not overly so, his skin is covered in scar tissue from various duels. One long scar is prominent on his forearm marking him as a member of a flesh cutter gang. His black hair is long and his face lined with stubble. He's clearly from further down hive and looks askance at the crowd milling about. He has a bow and quiver with a cloak about his shoulders. A chainsword on his hip and a knife strapped to his thigh.
Wounds: 10/10, FP: 1/1, TB: 5, Armour 2 (Arms, Legs and Chest)
Awareness 16 or less: 1d100 ⇒ 50 With all the chatter Lazlo couldn't make out the conversation but it didn't matter, he kept his eye on the Babyfaces. At least if a fight broke out he might get some valuable gear to keep or sell out of the exchange.
Wounds: 10/10, FP: 1/1, TB: 5, Armour 2 (Arms, Legs and Chest)
Lazlo will try to keep track of settlement names in case he has to trek back down unaided, the levels of a hive were large and if when he got to his home level it was in the wrong part he could not recognise it and go too far. He keeps an eye on those moving about the bar as well as the ways in and out of the cantina, knowing if a firefight breaks out it might be too late to check then.
Wounds: 10/10, FP: 1/1, TB: 5, Armour 2 (Arms, Legs and Chest)
Lazlo took a moment to consider, enough for food water and a bunk with maybe a few credits aside with full dibs on the loot if he kills anyone and those fancy midhivers had some nice stuff. He nods at the man. He gives the lift a good thump with his fist before it takes off to make sure it's sturdy.
Wounds: 10/10, FP: 1/1, TB: 5, Armour 2 (Arms, Legs and Chest)
Lazlo gives the man an appraising look. "As long as it doesn't bring the Arbitrators down on me. Sanctionaries aren't so bad to tangle with but Arbitrators they're a different story." Well it was better than nothing so he went to take the deal.
Wounds: 10/10, FP: 1/1, TB: 5, Armour 2 (Arms, Legs and Chest)
"What kind of work. what are the odds of combat and plunder?" Lazlo was trying to build a rep after all and safe jobs weren't the best for it, but still better for his stomach than no jobs but the mutties credits would get a little water. "What about for how long?"
Wounds: 10/10, FP: 1/1, TB: 5, Armour 2 (Arms, Legs and Chest)
Lazlo looks around the area his arms outstretched while walking in slow circle and let's out a roar of victory. "So another one falls before Lazlo! This twist wont be getting in my way again. If you know someone who needs a little extra muscle end the first tell them about Lazlo." Holding the blade aloft in the air and revs the blade droplets of blood splattering upwards before dropping down like bloody rain. "Lazlo will mess up their enemies. You've got the credit, I've got the carnage! Let's make a deal!" He pumped his fist in the air with each word of the final sentence and for the final punctuation he gave the mutie a final parting kick in the head. He tears off the muttie's rags to clean off some of the blood after a little bit and see if the twist had anything worth taking though he doubted it. |
