Hiya!

Well, better late to the party than never (just now finished my submission). I'm Kalyna Conrad, or as some of you may know me, Eric Hindley's wife. So far it appears I'm the oddball Canadian in this year's group... Woo Canada! I was born in Ottawa, traveled the country with my air force parents, earned a BFA in Theatrical Set and Lighting Design in Toronto and eventually settled in southern Alberta (Banff, then Calgary) where I work as a full time entertainment lighting technician, designer, and advocate for educating the next generation of technicians. No kids yet, but four very affectionate (and needy!) cats.

My DnD adventure began in University when I met this big handsome hairy guy who wanted to teach me... Then he proposed to me on our 3.5 anniversary and I knew I was lost forever. We moved into Pathfinder not long after that, starting up Pathfinder groups wherever we went.

I have some experience writing for Fat Goblin and a longstanding relationship with Wayfinder, first as an author and now as an editor. I also dabble in fiction and romance writing. Flash fiction is a particular favorite of mine.

I'm super excited to be here, and to see so many other names I know having made it as well. I love maps, and I can't wait to see what everyone came up with! (=

To the north, a foundry lies low against the river, belching smoke as the whining of the sawmill fills the air from the east. A delicately painted clock face leans against the foundry wall. In the center of the dirt yard looms a half-built clock tower, supported by layered scaffolding.

I liked the visual on this one, it really stuck with me. Congrats on getting into the top 32!

Crow Brother's Cloak

Description
This flowing, black silken cloak glitters with an iridescent sheen like a crow’s wing. When the wearer moves, the fabric seems to dance on the air, as though longing to take flight.

With a command the cloak dissolves into a swirling murder of crows, which faithfully surround their master for up to 13 rounds per day. These rounds need not be consecutive. The crow swarm (treat as bat swarm (see Bestiary)) acts immediately. The swarm deals no damage to the wearer and provides concealment as long as he remains within it. It is a free action to recall the swarm into cloak form. Once per day the wearer may choose to merge with the swarm as a swift action, granting it his mental stats and hit points, otherwise treat this as a polymorph effect. Rounds spent as part of the swarm count towards total rounds per day.

If the swarm is reduced to 0 hit points, it returns to cloak form immediately and cannot be transformed again for 24 hours. If the wearer is merged with it when this happens then his body drops to the ground and the swarm returns to cloak form.
