![]() Thank you, everyone, for your replies. I took a look at the suggested archetype and I'm *really* liking the Daring Champion. I switched his Ability Scores around. New Stats:
I'll rename the Panache Points to Honor Points, purely for flavorful reasons. Best RPer in the World: I'm not sure if he'd be interesting in a Naginta, nor dropping it every fight. He'd be more interesting in drawing his Katana and staying with it. Thoughts? gamer-printer: I like the archetype but I think he's invested in the Iaijutsu Strike now. I'll present it to him and see what he thinks, thanks! Fruian Thistlefoot: I'm recommending he skip Intimidating Prowess now that we're going the Weapon Finesse route and forgoing his Strength score. I do like the Cornugon Smash, so I'll advise him to keep it. kestral287: Thanks for the feedback. The Daring Champion is a nice archtype, and looks pretty good to him. I will say he likes Furious Focus, so we may end up keeping that. Do you have some suggestions for feat progression though? We're now looking at: Feats
Thanks for your help everyone. ![]()
![]() Hello, I could use some help, I'm a wee bit new. I'm running a Lovecraftian Pathfinder game in a few weeks and a friend/one of my players is wanting to play a Samurai Ronin (Sword Saint). He doesn't want a mount, thus the archetype, and he'd like to use a Katana and focus on two-handed weapons, though he'd like a bit of utility beyond hitting things with his Katana. I offered to let him take the 3PP Shogun archetype alongside Sword Saint but he turned it down. What's the best feat progression and why for a two-handed weapon build? I've read the, only, Samurai guide and I'm not quite sure why it recommends Cornugon Smash, Dazzling Display, Shatter Defenses and similar intimidating feats. So far what I have planned out doesn't give him much room for utility nor do I quiet understand the reasoning behind some of it: Race: Human. Stats:
Feats:
If anyone out there wouldn't mind helping me out so I can provide my player with a fun character experience I would appreciate it. Thank you, - Basil. ![]()
![]() Hello all, I'm starting up my very first online PbP Pathfinder game. I have little to no experience with the D20 system. I have yet to accept any players into the game. I'm using the northern part of Avistan as the starting point of the game, with the hopes of having the PC's travel to Port Egede, and then eventually up into the Crown of the World. The season would be winter, making this trek even more treacherous. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1i2NL7lSwYfxgc9Mvuq0EoILBq-dwX-F2wFhpb1P oF_M/edit?hl=en_US As such I'd like some feedback on my setting and recommendations as to what would be some interesting encounters in and around the region of the Lake of Mists and Veils, the Estrovian Forest, and in between that and Port Egede? The way Port Ice is described, I would imagine the lake to be partially frozen, which would be a cool experience of having the PC's segway onto the lake to avoid certain obstacles and what dangers that would bring. What sort of vessels would be found traveling through the lake? I'm at a bit of a loss for when it comes to what sort of creatures one might find in the snowy regions? I have bears, wolves... ice bandits (not really) :P Any helpful input, suggestions, and thoughts are always appreciated! Thanks, - Joseph. ![]()
![]() Hello, I'm hoping to get some help on how to handle traveling between one city to another. For this situation we'll say the players are traveling to Riddleport from Magnimar. Obstacles include a river, a large forest, and the option to charter a ship with enough money. First off, how would you decide the length of time travel takes? Secondly, how do you fill those slow gaps? It's not like they can fight a group of bandits every 30 minutes. What suggestions does anyone have on keeping traveling lively? Lastly, what sort of differences am I looking at when it comes to traveling on foot verses horses? Or boats if they decide to travel via sea? Thanks for your time! ![]()
![]() Hello! I am extremely new to the d20 system. I've made some past attempts but none really stuck until I gave Pathfinder a go. I'm really enjoying myself! I had a few questions though, regarding Golems, and I was hoping I could get some answers/suggestions. Thanks. I don't own the Bestiary books just yet and all I have is the Core book and the GM Guide. Alright, so, right off the bat.: - Is it possible for a character/person to place their soul in a Golem that they have made? If so, where may I find the rules for that? Or is it handwavium? - Does it have to be a certain size? I.E. No smaller than 8 ft? - Are there certain materials that they can't be made from? - What classes can make a Golem body and place their soul into it? I realize that as the GM I can say what works and what doesn't, but I also want to be sure that I know about any rules that may be handy to use in this specific instance. Thanks! |
