Which would be about a month after the next adventure path goes on sale to everyone else (Pathfinder Adventure Path #75: Demon's Heresy says October 30 for pdf). I hope they get this fixed or some kind of explanation
I've always thought that the pathfinder player line was one of the best deals in the industry. Now... It is simply the greatest book for the price anywhere and that is just from viewing the PDF. I love the layout the options, and the art. I've been a great follower of Varisia and I still found things that are interesting and new. I can't wait to see what comes next in this new layout and luckily I only have to wait a month now. Keep it up Paizo you guys are great.
We just use pen and paper. Usually I'm the dm and I have a character that mostly stays out of the limelight that way the other player can make most of the decisions. We play all types of classes but the best ones are ones you don't have to spread your points to thin like paladin/summoner or fighter/barbarian. As for setup I do give max-2 hit points to make the characters a little more survivable. We also use higher stat generation in order to help with the fact you need a lot of stats. And yes you can just use the xp system in the core for 4 players instead of 2 and it works out pretty well. We played through Crimson thrown all the way with a Paladin/Fighter and a Wizard/rogue

There was this thing in 3.5 unearthed arcana called gestalt classes. Basically you take two classes at once. You take the best hit die and best of each save from the class and the best skill points. Then you get all the class abilities. My wife and I play this way with two characters all the time, including cures of the crimson throne. Its a blast. The only thing you need to make sure it that you treat xp as if it were a 4 person party and maybe adjust loot down a bit

Im not to worried about everything coming at once, but yeah I have all of the first 3 skull and shackles shipping mid-may. I would like some more info on this so I can prepare for a 60 dollar shipment that month. Please let us know as soon as possible because these shipping problems are starting to seem more frequent.

Works great for having to generate all the magic items for cities in Kingmaker. This this has everything I needed and more. This little program saved me like 15-30 min of rolling and looking through books to make all the items that my players have in their city. Somehow thank you just doesn't seem enough, but Thank you so much!
My PCs explored a lot of the coast first and did most of the NPC's special missions before they really got into the interior and met up with the cannibals. By doing all that they got to 2nd level just before they got the the cannibal camp. They didn't have to fight to many wandering monsters but they did a few, but the pacing worked out fine. Also keep in mind that a 1st level party of 4 or more can handle a two maybe three (depending on what stats they have) on CR2/3 encounters a day without too much trouble. If your really worried they can't handle it then you could have the some of the NPCs they have made friends with go with them.
As someone who owns the original campaign setting, I can really appreciate taking the time to do it right. I love the old one but it really shows how rushed it was. Paizo has grown a lot as a game company and its nice that they are willing to put books on hold in order to make sure the quality of their work remains outstanding. Keep up the good work guys, we all appreciate it!!!
I have a question about billing. Paizo keeps charging and uncharging me for parts of this order. I was wondering what was up with that. Everything still says its pending but now I am not being charged for a part of the order. Please let me know if there is something wrong that I did so we can clear this up. Thanks!
I'm playing a witch in a new campaign. I have an 18 int and a viper as my familiar. We started at 1st level and I felt a little underpowered than the rest of the party, but I have played wizards many times and that is pretty standard in my opinion until higher levels are reached. Then we came across the big bad of our adventure, a Orc cleric with the destruction domain. One of his first moves was to cast Shield of faith which raise his AC. So I did the logical this by using my evil eye. I do believe that this choice saved the party as we were all rolling horribly against him. He eventually failed the save so I moved on to using my evil eye against his attacks. This also helped the party and saved our Fighter who was down to only a few hit points from getting smitten. We leveled and I was encouraged to take the cure light wounds hex. I'm still iffy if I actually want it. We have a healer (He is a priest from the Tome of Secrets by Adamant Entertainment) but the extra healing would give us a little more staying power especially is we get ambushed at night. I could heal the party before we all go to bed and he could save his heals for emergencies. I also thought it would work if we come across a lot of people that need healing. In the adventure we are about to save a town attacked by Orcs and they have been beaten and in slaved. So I could heal the townsfolk without wasting any party resources. The only other thing I have to say right now is I'm really scared that my familiar will die. Unlike a wizard I can't have a second spell book on stand by. I try to keep my familiar out of harms way. That pretty much means that its just role play with it as I don't want to chance it getting hurt in combat. It also means I can't risk it to scout or anything else that I have used wizard familiars for in the past. I know that this was done to make the witch different from a wizard but it may be better to keep the familiar, but use grimoire of some sort for spells. I will try to keep you updated on how things are going, but right now I'm really enjoying playing my witch.

You are truly my hero. I'm running the game tomorrow and I have been reading through the adventure and haven't had time to convert it. *bows to your awesomeness* Thank you very much. |
