That's not the issue. It's that everything against us is by far higher level and I do not see a reason why they don't come and just take it. We have what they need most, they are more powerful with greater numbers. Why would they not come for it with everything they have, even if things were equal I would expect them to back the key retrieval sense once they have it they win. Their goal is accomplished. That is what bugs me.
Honestly I got no clue what to do at this point. So the big bad we were supposed to stop from being released, is pretty much released. They just need the key and if the bad guys, which are way stronger then us, don't get it then the epic level law boys will. How are we even in the picture anymore. -.-
Leralt eyed the two. If the beast was unbound they would all be dead. "I am Leralt, I claim no position." With the introduction done he continues. "What old bargains? As far as I know there are none. At least not involving me."
Alright sense Lena is still around, Leralt will have your weapon in a few more days of work. So depends when and how much free time he has. ;)
Leralt eyes the dark cloud. He tells Tulos to check it out from a distance, the clockwork dragon takes flight. He stepped forward if just barely. Letting the others know what they were before doing so. "I think a better question is who are you and why are you here. After all a pair of Inevitables is not a common sight. Much less powerful ones like you two." He had no illusions about their power and that his did not compare. Frankly if all these powerful beings were walking around why did they not just have at each other and leave him alone.
Leralt looks at the beings, casting a minor spell to detect magic.

It depends on the post. Truth be told I need to reread sense I can't remember everything from this game at the moment. I will need to know how many days pass too sense that will effect my crafting list. I got some request to fill after all. ;)

So your not using the psionic/magic rule. That kina sucks, hope we don't run into any psionic stuff sense we are pretty defenseless. >.<

Leralt does not react to yet another outburst. Speaking normally. "My problem is I feel no need to explain my every action like a child. I was and still am a researcher, their is a method to decoding which requires as much source information as can be acquired. The less source the more difficult the task. So yes having all the books is beneficial. While I could go into details of the complexities of such work, I do not feel the need to waste that sort of time. By your own admission you are aware that my skills in translation exceed your own. Does it not make sense that I should be the one to do that work. Is it not sensible, rather then costing me double the work to check your translations. Otherwise information could be misinterpreted and corrupted." He shakes his head. "You do not trust my judgment or me in any sense. That is a problem on your part and a dangerous one at that. As it has already cost us." He picks up the bag he placed all the arcane tomes in. "No doubt that outburst has alerted Rykks'vykk and anything else in these caves. I am not going to tempt the dragonkin, I will wait outside the mouth of the cave." He is careful to keep alert and on guard in case Rykks'vykk was faster then the first time they met as he leaves.

Just wondering is everyone still around? We seem really slow lately.
Leralt gives the man a bored look. "I seem to have forgotten, logical thought without ego is only common among the collective. It is no longer my concern. I will keep my own council, do as you wish without me." He washed his hands of the whole thing, his budding anger cut short by his will. Let the fates claim their price, it seemed enough lives had not been lost. He thought about returning to the collective. What a twisted joke, he had more of a home among star creatures then those of his own world.
Leralt gives Catila a narrow eyed look. "I do mind. Do you have both the spells and skills to decipher unknown languages. The most qualified person should do the job. It would only add to my work not having all the tomes in my passion." He had not forgotten or forgiven the gnome detective's outburst not so long ago. The blatant show of distrust, was now intruding upon his work. Something that did stir his long dormant anger.

Leralt claims every book they find. "Given enough time I think I can decode all of this. I would also like to study what is in those jars. I am sure between me and Gellius they should all have a use." When they get to ores and gems he looks them over. Wealth did not mean much to them. "The ore could be useful but the gems less so." He thinks for a moment. "Well I could use them for magical creations. The collective showed me how to use just about anything as source material."
Leralt shakes his head. "It's reacting to the air exposure. Cover it back up and that may stop it. I would think its something from the plant men. The way our enemy burned everything to ash and such I doubt they would bother putting such things in their place. Nether do I think anyone would want to deal with Rykks'vykk and her stone gaze regularly. The plants may be reacting with the remains of the plant men in some sort of manner to create this effect is another theory." Having Tulos grab one with some fungus, it is put into a vial which is sealed. "I would rather study it later, when we are not imposing on draconic host. Can we look at some of the other caves." He keeps scanning with his detection spell, once they move to another part of the cave system.
Leralt cast a spell to detect magic. Just in case their were any surprises of a magical nature still lying about. Beside the strange plants.
Leralt looks around with the others. He was not going to be found alone as he did not trust his social skills. It was a wonder the draconic creature went along with it. "I already told you Gellius. It's not a true dragon, but granted more intelligent then a average dracolisk should be."
Leralt is glad things went well. "Well we are allowed anywhere but their personal cave. I suggest we look around quickly."
Leralt nearly brought his spell to bear but held it none the less. He could still reason with it. He also thought their may be a way they could be allowed to move about with the half dragon's blessing. Draconic: "We would never threaten the young of one such as Rykks'vykk. I would agree only your eggs would have more value then your hoard but I assure you I have not come for them. It seems you laid claim after the fall of the plant-men. We came to inspect their former home, their was a disease. As plants they were immune but the same could not be said of others. We found a cure for it among our own, yet it may still linger. Rykks'vykk is mighty without a doubt, but what of her eggs and would be young. If such a disease yet lingers and we are not allowed to find it, others may fall prey to it. At best you would suffer us for but a small time, at worst we would help you prevent some foul illness from coming upon your children. Would wise Rykks'vykk allow us to perform this service, it would be a great honor I would think."
Leralt understands the creature, strange as their kind are not normally that smart. He puts more distance between it and himself while counting on his invisibility and clockwork to save him should things go wrong. Whispering to the others before he makes his move. "I am going to try and reason with it. But be prepared." Draconic:
"We have not come to steal from your hoard. We have come to see what became of the plant men who dwelled here. May I know the name of the great one before me?" He keeps a spell ready should things turn ugly.
Leralt cast an invisibility spell on himself. He would be damned if he was going to be turned to stone. His form vanishes.
My moves. Flee: Leralt can cast web we all run. Fight: Leralt will cast fireball, actions after that depend on enemy. The worst of it is that gaze attack, unless you have a good fort or SR its a gamble at best and one shotter at worst. >.<

Leralt knows what it is the moment he see's the tracks and lets the others know before backing up and away, finding something to hide behind. He would trust Tulos to be his eyes, as the little construct would be immune to the creatures stone transforming gaze.
Leralt takes a look at the tracks himself as well as into the gloom, his eyes not needing light.

Leralt knowing better then to rush in, despite his desire to know more, stays to the back middle part of the party. But he sends Tulos forward to scout while flying.
Leralt shakes his head. "I already explained what I know about it and why placing her there wont be much help, it may in fact make her abduction easier as their is nothing to stop him from teleporting with in and taking her. He lived their for a time, placing her in a location he has never been is far safer in that respect. A simple somewhat thick layer of lead can block out all but the most powerful of divination spells in which case their is nothing to be currently done."
Leralt shakes his head. "Remember what it was built for and by who. The circle will be of no defense, not to mention the location is known by the enemy sense he built it. If my long ago, from Gellius point of view, suggestion had been heeded their would be at least one underground cellar dug for food storage and emergency shelter. Alas, I still say the collective is the safest place. Honestly they are far more powerful then this settlement and once someone is joined to them their are useless to the enemy. A rather interesting but non lethal last resort." He looked at Gellius on that last statement, having no illusions that he would in fact kill the child if forced rather then lose her.
Leralt shrugs at what is left of the creature. "Well that seems utterly pointless now doesn't it. So it seems that the little girl is the key. As far as I know the safest place on this island is the collective, you could send her there if you want. After all I was fine until I came here and had mind crabs inside giants attacking me on the first day." He waves away his own thoughts. "Which does bring me to the reason for my ill fated return. Would anyone be interested in exploring the former home of the guardians. I very much doubt they were destroyed as a favor to us by the enemy."

Leralt sends a web the annoying things way. "You know if you dont show yourself, regardless of what the others say I will kill you. Then ask your dead body what I need to know. That being said I suggest you stop playing with us."

Lena your item has been added to my waiting list. So now you just wait and hope Leralt does not spend all his time fighting for his life. xP
Remember Leralt cant make anything if no one ask IC. ;) Not that he can make much at the moment sense he cast a bunch of spells.
